¹但以理再見異象伯沙撒王在位第三年，在先前顯給我的異象之後，再有一個異象向我但以理顯現。

¹In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me, Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

²我在異象中觀看，看見自己在以攔省書珊城堡裡；我在異象中繼續觀看，看見自己在烏萊河的岸邊。

²And I saw in the vision; now it was so, that when I saw, I was in Shushan the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai.

³公綿羊我舉目觀看，看見一隻公綿羊，站在河邊；牠有兩個角，兩角都很高，但高低不一；那較高的角是較遲長出來的。

³Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.

⁴我看見那公綿羊向西、向北、向南撞去，沒有走獸能在牠面前站立得住，也沒有能拯救脫離牠手的；牠任意而行，狂妄自大。

⁴I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; and no beasts could stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and magnified himself.

⁵公山羊我正在思考的時候，忽然有一隻公山羊從西而來，走遍全地，快得腳不沾塵；這山羊兩眼之間有一個顯眼的角。

⁵And as I was considering, behold, a he-goat came from the west over the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

⁶牠走到我先前所看見站在河邊、那有兩個角的公綿羊那裡去，忿怒地向公綿羊猛力衝去。

⁶And he came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river, and ran upon him in the fury of his power.

⁷我看見公山羊走近公綿羊，向牠發怒，撞擊牠，折斷牠的兩個角；公綿羊在牠面前站立不住，牠把公綿羊撞倒在地上，又用腳踐踏牠，沒有能拯救公綿羊脫離牠手的。

⁷And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with anger against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns; and there was no power in the ram to stand before him; but he cast him down to the ground, and trampled upon him; and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

⁸這公山羊非常狂妄自大；但在牠強盛的時候，那大角被折斷了；在大角原來的地方，有四個顯眼的角向天的四方長出來。

⁸And the he-goat magnified himself exceedingly: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and instead of it there came up four notable [horns] toward the four winds of heaven.

⁹從這四個角中的一個角，又長出一個小角來，這小角向南、向東和向榮美之地，不斷強大起來。

⁹And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the glorious [land].

¹⁰牠漸漸長大，高及天象，把一些天象和星星摔落在地上，用腳踐踏。

¹⁰And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and some of the host and of the stars it cast down to the ground, and trampled upon them.

¹¹牠狂妄自大，要高及天象之君；牠除掉獻給天象之君的常獻祭，又拆毀他的聖所。

¹¹Yea, it magnified itself, even to the prince of the host; and it took away from him the continual [burnt-offering], and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

¹²因罪過的緣故，聖民（“聖民”和8:10、11的“天象”原文是同一個字）連同常獻的祭都交給牠；牠把真理丟在地上，任意而行，凡事順利。

¹²And the host was given over [to it] together with the continual [burnt-offering] through transgression; and it cast down truth to the ground, and it did [its pleasure] and prospered.

¹³我聽見一位聖者在說話，又有一位聖者問他：“這個關於除掉常獻的祭，和引致毀壞的罪過，以及踐踏聖所和聖民（“聖民”和8:10、11的“天象”原文是同一個字）的異象，要到幾時呢？”

¹³Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said unto that certain one who spake, How long shall be the vision [concerning] the continual [burnt-offering], and the transgression that maketh desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

¹⁴他對我說：“要到二千三百個晚上和早晨，聖所才得潔淨。”

¹⁴And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred evenings [and] mornings; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

¹⁵加百列解釋異象的意義我但以理看見了這異象以後，就想明白它的意義；忽然有一位外貌像人的，站在我面前。

¹⁵And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, that I sought to understand it; and, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

¹⁶我又聽見從烏萊河兩岸之間，有人的聲音呼叫著說：“加百列啊！你要使這人明白這異象。”

¹⁶And I heard a man's voice between [the banks of] the Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

¹⁷他就來到我所站的地方；他來到的時候，我就害怕，臉伏在地；他對我說：“人子啊，你要明白！這異象是關於末後的時期的。”

¹⁷So he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was affrighted, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man; for the vision belongeth to the time of the end.

¹⁸他和我說話的時候，我沉睡了，臉伏在地；他撫摩我，使我兩腳站起來。

¹⁸Now as he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep with my face toward the ground; but he touched me, and set me upright.

¹⁹他說：“看哪！我要告訴你在　神忿怒審判的後期必要發生的事，因為這是有關那末後的定期的。

¹⁹And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the latter time of the indignation; for it belongeth to the appointed time of the end.

²⁰你所看見那有兩個角的公綿羊，就是瑪代和波斯王。

²⁰The ram which thou sawest, that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia.

²¹那多毛的公山羊就是希臘王；那兩眼之間的大角就是第一個王。

²¹And the rough he-goat is the king of Greece: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

²²至於代替那折斷了的角，在牠原來的地方長出來的四個角，就是四個要從他的國中興起的王國，只是沒有他的權勢。

²²And as for that which was broken, in the place whereof four stood up, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.

²³“在這四國的後期，犯罪的人惡貫滿盈的時候，必有一個面貌兇惡的王興起，他詭計多端。

²³And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

²⁴他的權勢強大，卻不是出於自己的能力；他必造成驚人的毀滅；他任意而行，凡事順利；他必毀滅有強力的，又毀滅聖民。

²⁴And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper and do [his pleasure]; and he shall destroy the mighty ones and the holy people.

²⁵他運用詭計，行騙無往而不利；他心裡狂妄自大；他必乘人不備的時候，毀滅許多人；他要起來攻擊萬君之君，最後卻非因人的手被毀滅。

²⁵And through his policy he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and in [their] security shall he destroy many: he shall also stand up against the prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

²⁶關於所說二千三百個晚上和早晨的異象是真的，但你要把這異象封住，因為那是關於將來許多的年日的。”

²⁶And the vision of the evenings and mornings which hath been told is true: but shut thou up the vision; for it belongeth to many days [to come].

²⁷我但以理精疲力竭，病了幾天，後來我起來，辦理王的事務，但我仍因這異象驚駭不已，不明白它的意思。

²⁷And I, Daniel, fainted, and was sick certain days; then I rose up, and did the king's business: and I wondered at the vision, but none understood it.
