1以色列王巴沙進攻猶大（王上15:17~22）亞撒在位第三十六年，以色列王巴沙上來攻打猶大，修築拉瑪，不許人離開或進入猶大王亞撒的國境。
1In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa, Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow anyone to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
2於是亞撒從耶和華的殿和王宮的庫房裡取出金銀來，送給住在大馬士革的亞蘭王便．哈達，說：
2Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of Yahweh and of the king’s house, and sent to Ben Hadad king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,
3“你父親和我父親曾經立約，你和我也要立約。現在我把金銀送給你，請你去廢除你和以色列王巴沙訂立的約，好使他離開我而去。”
3“Let there be a treaty between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent you silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”
4便．哈達聽從了亞撒王的話，就派遣他屬下的眾軍長去攻擊以色列的城市，他們攻陷了以雲、但、亞伯．瑪音和拿弗他利一切貯藏貨物的城市。
4Ben Hadad listened to king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they struck Ijon, and Dan, and Abel Maim, and all the storage cities of Naphtali.
5巴沙聽見了，就停止修築拉瑪，把工程都停止了。
5It happened, when Baasha heard of it, that he left off building Ramah, and let his work cease.
6於是亞撒王帶領猶大眾人，把巴沙修築拉瑪所用的石頭和木材都搬走，用來修築迦巴和米斯巴。
6Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had built; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.
7先見哈拿尼責備亞撒那時，先見哈拿尼來見猶大王亞撒，對他說：“因你倚靠亞蘭王，沒有倚靠耶和華你的 神，所以亞蘭王的軍隊才可以脫離你的手。
7At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, “Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on Yahweh your God, therefore is the army of the king of Syria escaped out of your hand.
8古實人和路比人不是有強大的軍隊嗎？戰車和馬兵不是極多嗎？只因你倚靠耶和華，耶和華就把他們交在你手裡。
8Weren’t the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge army, with chariots and horsemen exceeding many? Yet, because you relied on Yahweh, he delivered them into your hand.
9耶和華的眼目遍察全地，一心歸向他的，他必以大能扶助他們；你作這事太愚昧了。從今以後，你必常有戰爭。”
9For the eyes of Yahweh run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein you have done foolishly; for from henceforth you shall have wars.”
10於是亞撒對先見發怒，把他囚在監裡。同時亞撒也壓迫人民。
10Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in the prison; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.
11亞撒逝世（王上15:23~24）亞撒所行的事蹟，一生的始末，都記在猶大和以色列諸王記上。
11Behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
12亞撒在位第三十九年，患了腳病，病情嚴重；可是，連他患病的時候，也沒有尋求耶和華，只管尋求醫生。
12In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet; his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he didn’t seek Yahweh, but to the physicians.
13亞撒作王四十一年以後死了，和他的列祖同睡。
13Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.
14人把他埋葬在大衛城裡他為自己所鑿的墳墓中。他們把他放在堆滿按著作香的方法調和的各樣香料的床上，又為他燒了很多香料。
14They buried him in his own tombs, which he had dug out for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odors and various kinds of spices prepared by the perfumers’ art: and they made a very great burning for him.
