1約坦作猶大王（王下15:32~38）約坦登基的時候，是二十五歲；他在耶路撒冷作王共十六年；他的母親名叫耶路沙，是撒督的女兒。
1Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok.
2約坦行耶和華看為正的事，像他父親烏西雅一切所行的，只是沒有進入耶和華的殿；但人民還是行敗壞的事。
2He did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that his father Uzziah had done: however he didn’t enter into Yahweh’s temple. The people still did corruptly.
3約坦建造了耶和華殿的上門；在俄斐勒的城牆上，他也有很多建設。
3He built the upper gate of the house of Yahweh, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.
4他在猶大山地建造城市，又在樹林中建造一些營寨和瞭望樓。
4Moreover he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.
5約坦和亞捫人的王交戰，戰勝了他們；那一年，亞捫人就獻給他三千四百公斤銀子，一千公噸小麥，一千公噸大麥；第二年和第三年，亞捫人也獻給他這個數目。
5He fought also with the king of the children of Ammon, and prevailed against them. The children of Ammon gave him the same year one hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. The children of Ammon gave that much to him in the second year also, and in the third.
6約坦在耶和華他的 神面前堅守正道，所以日漸強盛。
6So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before Yahweh his God.
7約坦其餘的事蹟，他的一切戰爭和作為，都記在以色列和猶大列王記上。
7Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
8他登基的時候是二十五歲；他在耶路撒冷作王共十六年。
8He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.
9約坦和他的列祖同睡，埋葬在大衛城裡；他的兒子亞哈斯接續他作王。
9Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
