¹嚴責享樂放縱的人那些在錫安平靜安逸的，安穩在撒瑪利亞山上的，有禍了！你們是這列國中為首之大國的領袖，是以色列家所歸向的。

¹Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who are secure on the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!

²你們要過去甲尼看看，從那裡往哈馬大城去，然後下到非利士的迦特；看你們是否比這些國家勝一籌？他們的領土是否比你們的領土還大？

²Go to Calneh, and see; and from there go to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. are they better than these kingdoms? or is their border greater than your border?

³你們認為災禍的日子離開很遠，你們的行為卻招致殘暴的審判。

³Those who put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;

⁴你們臥在象牙床上，躺在榻上；你們吃羊群中的羊羔，和牛棚裡的牛犢。

⁴Who lie on beds of ivory, and stretch themselves on their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;

⁵你們閒逸地彈琴奏樂，又為自己製造樂器，像大衛一樣。

⁵who strum on the strings of a harp; who invent for themselves instruments of music, like David;

⁶你們用大碗喝酒，用最貴重的膏油抹身；但你們並沒有為約瑟的敗落而痛心。

⁶who drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the best oils; but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

⁷悲慘的結局因此，你們將是最先被擄去的人，宴樂享受的日子必要消逝。

⁷Therefore they will now go captive with the first who go captive; and the feasting and lounging will end.

⁸主耶和華指著自己起誓說：“我痛恨雅各所誇耀的，憎惡他的堡壘；我要把城市和城中的一切，都交給敵人。”這是耶和華萬軍的　神的宣告。

⁸“The Lord Yahweh has sworn by himself,” says Yahweh, the God of Armies: “I abhor the pride of Jacob, and detest his fortresses. Therefore I will deliver up the city with all that is in it.

⁹如果在一間房子裡剩下十個人，他們都必死亡。

⁹It will happen, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.

¹⁰死者的親屬和殮葬的人把屍體從房子抬走，並問那躲在屋內深處的人：“還有人嗎？”那人回答：“沒有，不要再說話，不可再提耶和華的名。”

¹⁰“When a man’s relative carries him, even he who burns him, to bring bodies out of the house, and asks him who is in the innermost parts of the house, ‘Is there yet any with you?’ And he says, ‘No;’ then he will say, ‘Hush! Indeed we must not mention the name of Yahweh.’

¹¹看哪！耶和華下令，大樓就粉碎，小屋也要破裂。

¹¹“For, behold, Yahweh commands, and the great house will be smashed to pieces, and the little house into bits.

¹²顛倒是非馬能在懸崖奔馳嗎？人可在那裡用牛耙地嗎？但你使公正變為毒草，使公義的果子轉為苦堇。

¹²Do horses run on the rocky crags? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison, and the fruit of righteousness into bitterness;

¹³你們以奪取羅底巴為誇耀，說：“我們奪取加寧不是靠自己的力量嗎？”

¹³you who rejoice in a thing of nothing, who say, ‘Haven’t we taken for ourselves horns by our own strength?’

¹⁴興起一國攻擊以色列“看哪！以色列家，我要興起一國攻擊你們，這國要欺壓你們，從哈馬關口直至亞拉巴河。”這是萬軍耶和華　神的宣告。

¹⁴For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, house of Israel,” says Yahweh, the God of Armies; “and they will afflict you from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of the Arabah.”
