1特作 神的子民（出34:11~16）“耶和華你的 神領你進入你要去得為業的地，從你面前趕走許多民族，就是赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，共七個比你又大又強的民族。
1When Yahweh your God shall bring you into the land where you go to possess it, and shall cast out many nations before you, the Hittite, and the Girgashite, and the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, seven nations greater and mightier than you;
2耶和華你的 神把他們交給你，你打敗了他們的時候，你要完全毀滅他們，不可與他們立約，也不可恩待他們。
2and when Yahweh your God shall deliver them up before you, and you shall strike them; then you shall utterly destroy them: you shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy to them;
3不可與他們通婚，不可把你的女兒嫁給他們的兒子，也不可為你的兒子娶他們的女兒。
3neither shall you make marriages with them; your daughter you shall not give to his son, nor shall you take his daughter for your son.
4因為他必使你的兒子離開我，去事奉別的神，以致耶和華向你們發烈怒，就快快地把你們消滅。
4For he will turn away your son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so the anger of Yahweh would be kindled against you, and he would destroy you quickly.
5你們卻要這樣待他們：拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的神柱，砍下他們的亞舍拉，用火焚燒他們的雕像。
5But you shall deal with them like this: you shall break down their altars, and dash their pillars in pieces, and cut down their Asherim, and burn their engraved images with fire.
6“因為你是歸耶和華你的 神作聖潔的子民的；耶和華你的 神從地上的萬族中，揀選了你作他自己的產業，自己的子民。
6For you are a holy people to Yahweh your God: Yahweh your God has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.
7耶和華喜愛你們，揀選你們，並不是因為你們的人數比別的民族多，其實你們的人數在萬族中是最少的；
7Yahweh didn’t set his love on you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all peoples:
8而是因為耶和華對你們的愛，又因為他遵守他向你們的列祖所起的誓，他才用大能的手把你們領出來，把你們從為奴之家，從埃及王法老的手裡拯救出來。
8but because Yahweh loves you, and because he would keep the oath which he swore to your fathers, has Yahweh brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9所以你要知道耶和華你的 神，他是 神，是信實可靠的 神；他向愛他和守他誡命的人，守約並且施慈愛，直到千代。
9Know therefore that Yahweh your God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with them who love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations,
10但向恨他的人，卻要當面報應他們，把他們滅盡；恨他的，他都要當面報應他，決不遲延。
10and repays those who hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him who hates him, he will repay him to his face.
11所以你要謹守遵行我今日吩咐你的誡命、律例和典章。
11You shall therefore keep the commandment, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which I command you this day, to do them.
12遵行 神法典的賞賜（申28:1~14）“如果你們聽從這些典章，並且謹守遵行這一切，耶和華你的 神就必照著他向你的列祖所起的誓，向你守約並且施慈愛。
12It shall happen, because you listen to these ordinances, and keep and do them, that Yahweh your God will keep with you the covenant and the loving kindness which he swore to your fathers:
13他必愛你，賜福與你，使你人數增多，也必在他向你的列祖起誓應許給你的地上，賜福與你身所生的，你地所產的，使你的五穀、酒、油，以及牛犢和羊羔增產。
13and he will love you, and bless you, and multiply you; he will also bless the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your livestock and the young of your flock, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you.
14你必蒙福勝過萬民；在你中間沒有不能生育的男女，也沒有不能生殖的牲畜。
14You shall be blessed above all peoples: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your livestock.
15耶和華必使一切病症離開你；你所知埃及各種的惡疾，他決不加在你身上，卻加在一切恨你的人身上。
15Yahweh will take away from you all sickness; and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you know, he will put on you, but will lay them on all those who hate you.
16耶和華你的 神交給你的所有民族，你都要把他們消滅；你的眼不可憐惜他們；你也不可事奉他們的神，因為這必成為你的網羅。
16You shall consume all the peoples whom Yahweh your God shall deliver to you; your eye shall not pity them: neither shall you serve their gods; for that will be a snare to you.
17“如果你心裡說：‘這些國的人比我多，我怎能把他們趕出去呢？’
17If you shall say in your heart, “These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?”
18你不要怕他們，只要牢牢地記住，耶和華你的 神向法老和全埃及所行的事，
18you shall not be afraid of them: you shall well remember what Yahweh your God did to Pharaoh, and to all Egypt;
19就是你親眼看見的大試驗、神蹟、奇事、大能的手和伸出來的膀臂，這都是耶和華你的 神領你出來的時候使用的；耶和華你的 神也必照樣待你懼怕的所有民族。
19the great trials which your eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm, by which Yahweh your God brought you out: so shall Yahweh your God do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid.
20耶和華你的 神還要打發大黃蜂飛到他們中間，直到那些殘存躲藏起來的人，都從你面前消滅為止。
20Moreover Yahweh your God will send the hornet among them, until those who are left, and hide themselves, perish from before you.
21你不要因他們驚慌，因為耶和華你的 神是在你們中間，他是大而可畏的 神。
21You shall not be scared of them; for Yahweh your God is in the midst of you, a great and awesome God.
22耶和華你的 神必把這些國的民，從你面前漸漸趕出去；你不可以把他們迅速地滅盡，恐怕田間的野獸多起來害你。
22Yahweh your God will cast out those nations before you by little and little: you may not consume them at once, lest the animals of the field increase on you.
23耶和華你的 神必把他們交在你面前，使他們大起擾亂，直到他們全被消滅。
23But Yahweh your God will deliver them up before you, and will confuse them with a great confusion, until they be destroyed.
24他也必把他們的君王交在你的手中，你必使他們的名從天下消滅；必沒有一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你把他們都消滅了。
24He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you shall make their name to perish from under the sky: no man shall be able to stand before you, until you have destroyed them.
25他們的神像，你們要用火焚燒；神像上的金銀，你不可貪愛，也不可據為己有，免得你因此陷入網羅；因為這是耶和華你的 神厭惡的。
25You shall burn the engraved images of their gods with fire. You shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourself, lest you be snared in it; for it is an abomination to Yahweh your God.
26可厭惡的物，你不可帶進家裡去，免得你與那物一樣成了當毀滅的；你要非常憎恨它，十分厭惡它，因為這是當毀滅的物。”
26You shall not bring an abomination into your house, and become a devoted thing like it. You shall utterly detest it, and you shall utterly abhor it; for it is a devoted thing.
