1以色列人過紅海耶和華告訴摩西說：
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2“你要吩咐以色列人轉回過來，在比．哈希錄前，密奪和海之間安營；你們要在巴力．洗分前，對著巴力．洗分，靠近海邊的地方安營。
2“Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn back and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal Zephon. You shall encamp opposite it by the sea.
3法老必論到以色列人的事，說：‘他們在這地走迷了路，曠野把他們困住了。’
3Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, ‘They are entangled in the land. The wilderness has shut them in.’
4我要使法老的心剛硬，他就必追趕他們；這樣，我就可以在法老身上和他的全軍身上得到榮耀，埃及人就必知道我是耶和華。”於是以色列人就這樣行了。
4I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will follow after them; and I will get honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies; and the Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh.” They did so.
5有人告訴埃及王說：“以色列人逃走了。”法老和他的臣僕對以色列人的心就改變了，他們說：“我們讓以色列人離開，不再服事我們，我們作了甚麼事呢？”
5It was told the king of Egypt that the people had fled; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was changed towards the people, and they said, “What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?”
6法老就預備他的馬車，帶著他的人民一同去，
6He prepared his chariot, and took his army with him;
7並且帶著六百輛特選的馬車和埃及所有的馬車，每輛馬車上都有馬車長。
7and he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over all of them.
8耶和華使埃及王法老的心剛硬，法老就追趕以色列人；因為以色列是靠著耶和華高舉的手出來的。
8Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel; for the children of Israel went out with a high hand.
9埃及人追趕他們，法老所有的馬匹、戰車和他的馬兵與軍隊，就在海邊，靠近比．哈希錄，對著巴力．洗分他們安營的地方追上了他們。
9The Egyptians pursued after them: all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen, and his army; and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baal Zephon.
10法老走近的時候，以色列人舉目觀看，看見埃及人正追趕過來，就非常懼怕，向耶和華呼求。
10When Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.
11他們對摩西說：“難道埃及沒有墳墓，你要把我們帶來死在曠野嗎？你為甚麼這樣待我們，把我們從埃及領出來呢？
11They said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?
12我們在埃及的時候，不是對你說過：‘不要管我們，我們要服事埃及人’這話嗎？因為服事埃及人比死在曠野還好。”
12Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?’ For it were better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.”
13摩西對人民說：“不要懼怕，要站著，觀看耶和華今天為你們施行的拯救；因為你們今天看見的埃及人，必永遠不再看見了。
13Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall never see them again.
14耶和華必為你們爭戰，你們必須安靜，不要作聲。”
14Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.”
15耶和華對摩西說：“你為甚麼向我呼求呢？吩咐以色列人往前走。
15Yahweh said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward.
16你要把你的杖舉起來，向海伸手，把海分開，叫以色列人下到海中走乾地。
16Lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go into the midst of the sea on dry ground.
17看哪，我要使埃及人的心剛硬，他們就必跟著以色列人下去；這樣，我必在法老和他的全軍身上，以及他的馬車和馬兵身上得到榮耀。
17I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall go in after them: and I will get myself honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.
18我在法老身上，以及他的馬車和馬兵身上得到榮耀的時候，埃及人就知道我是耶和華。”
18The Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have gotten myself honor over Pharaoh, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.”
19在以色列營前行走的 神的使者，轉到他們後面去；雲柱也從他們前面轉過去，立在他們後面。
19The angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them, and stood behind them.
20雲柱來到埃及營和以色列營中間；雲柱一邊是黑暗的，一邊卻光照著黑夜。這樣整夜彼此都不能接近。
20It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness, yet gave it light by night: and the one didn’t come near the other all the night.
21摩西向海伸手，耶和華就用極強的東風，一夜之間使海水退去；他使海變成乾地，海水也分開了。
21Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and Yahweh caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
22以色列人下到海中走乾地，水在他們的左右作了牆垣。
22The children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.
23埃及人追趕過來，法老所有的馬匹、馬車和馬兵，都跟著以色列人下到海中去。
23The Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the midst of the sea: all of Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
24到了晨更的時候，耶和華透過雲柱火柱向下觀看埃及人的軍兵，並且使埃及人的軍兵大起混亂。
24It happened in the morning watch, that Yahweh looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army.
25又使他們的車輪脫落，行駛困難，因此埃及人說：“我們從以色列人面前逃跑吧，因為耶和華為他們爭戰，攻擊埃及人了。”
25He took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said, “Let’s flee from the face of Israel, for Yahweh fights for them against the Egyptians!”
26埃及人葬身紅海之中耶和華對摩西說：“你要向海伸手，使水回流到埃及人身上，流到他們的戰車和馬兵身上。”
26Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come again on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.”
27摩西就向海伸手，到了天亮的時候，海水流回原處；埃及人逆流逃跑的時候，耶和華就把他們投在海中。
27Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. Yahweh overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
28海水一回流，就淹沒了馬車、馬兵和那些跟著以色列人下海去的法老的全軍，連一個也沒有餘下。
28The waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even all Pharaoh’s army that went in after them into the sea. There remained not so much as one of them.
29以色列人卻在海中走乾地，水在他們的左右作了牆垣。
29But the children of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.
30這樣，耶和華就在那一天把以色列人從埃及人的手裡拯救了出來；以色列人看見埃及人都死在海邊。
30Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
31以色列人看見耶和華向埃及人所顯大能的手，就敬畏耶和華，又信服耶和華和他的僕人摩西。
31Israel saw the great work which Yahweh did to the Egyptians, and the people feared Yahweh; and they believed in Yahweh, and in his servant Moses.
