¹以色列人的罪行以色列人哪！你們要聽耶和華的話。耶和華要與這地的居民爭辯，因為在這地上沒有誠實，沒有慈愛，也沒有認識　神的知識；

¹Hear the word of Yahweh, you children of Israel; for Yahweh has a charge against the inhabitants of the land: “Indeed there is no truth, nor goodness, nor knowledge of God in the land.

²只有起假誓、撒謊、殘殺、偷盜、姦淫、行強暴，以至流人血事件相繼而來。

²There is cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break boundaries, and bloodshed causes bloodshed.

³因此，這地必悲哀，地上所有的居民、田野的走獸、空中的飛鳥都必衰微、枯萎，連海裡的魚也要滅亡。

³Therefore the land will mourn, and everyone who dwells therein will waste away. all living things in her, even the animals of the field and the birds of the sky; yes, the fish of the sea also die.

⁴祭司的罪行雖然這樣，人人都不必爭論，不要彼此指責。祭司啊！要與你辯論的是我。

⁵白天你要跌倒，晚上先知也必與你一同跌倒；我要毀滅你的母親。

⁵You will stumble in the day, and the prophet will also stumble with you in the night; and I will destroy your mother.

⁶我的子民因無知識而滅亡；因為你拒絕了知識，我必拒絕你，不讓你作我的祭司；因為你忘掉了你　神的律法，我也必忘記你的子孫。

⁶My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to me. Because you have forgotten your God’s law, I will also forget your children.

⁷祭司越增多，就越發得罪我，我必把他們的尊榮變為恥辱。

⁷As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me. I will change their glory into shame.

⁸他們藉著我的子民犯罪來養活自己，渴望他們多有罪孽。

⁸They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity.

⁹所以，祭司怎樣，人民也怎樣。我必按他們的行為懲罰他們，照他們的行為報應他們。

⁹It will be, like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds.

¹⁰他們吃，卻吃不飽；行淫，人數卻不會增多；因為他們離棄了耶和華，不遵守他的命令。

¹⁰They will eat, and not have enough. They will play the prostitute, and will not increase; because they have abandoned giving to Yahweh.

¹¹拜偶像的罪行淫行、陳酒和新酒，把人的心奪走了。

¹²我的子民求問木頭，由木杖引導他們，因為淫蕩的心使他們走迷了路，他們就行淫不順從　神。

¹²My people consult with their wooden idol, and answer to a stick of wood. Indeed the spirit of prostitution has led them astray, and they have been unfaithful to their God.

¹³他們在山頂上獻祭，在岡陵上的橡樹、楊樹和栗樹之下獻上燒香，因為樹蔭美好。所以你們的女兒行淫亂，你們的兒媳犯姦淫。

¹³They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains, and burn incense on the hills, under oaks and poplars and terebinths, because its shade is good. Therefore your daughters play the prostitute, and your brides commit adultery.

¹⁴我卻不因你們的女兒行淫亂，也不因你們的兒媳犯姦淫而懲罰她們，因為你們男人自己離群與娼妓在一起，又與廟妓一同獻祭。這無知的人民必遭毀滅。

¹⁴I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostitute, nor your brides when they commit adultery; because the men consort with prostitutes, and they sacrifice with the shrine prostitutes; so the people without understanding will come to ruin.

¹⁵耶和華的警告以色列啊！你雖然行淫，猶大卻不可犯罪，不要往吉甲去，不要上到伯．亞文，也不要指著永活的耶和華起誓。

¹⁵“Though you, Israel, play the prostitute, yet don’t let Judah offend; and don’t come to Gilgal, neither go up to Beth Aven, nor swear, ‘As Yahweh lives.’

¹⁶以色列倔強，好像倔強的母牛，現在耶和華怎樣牧放他們，好像牧放寬闊草場上的羊羔呢？

¹⁶For Israel has behaved extremely stubbornly, like a stubborn heifer. Then how will Yahweh feed them like a lamb in a meadow.

¹⁷以法蓮和偶像連在一起，任憑他吧！

¹⁷Ephraim is joined to idols. Leave him alone!

¹⁸他們醉意全消以後，就不斷行淫；他們的官長最喜愛恥辱的事。

¹⁸Their drink has become sour. They play the prostitute continually. Her rulers dearly love their shameful way.

¹⁹風要把他們裹在翅膀裡捲去，他們必因自己所獻的祭祀而蒙受羞辱。

¹⁹The wind has wrapped her up in its wings; and they shall be disappointed because of their sacrifices.
