¹希西家病危與康復（王下20:1~11；代下32:24）那時，希西家患了重病，快要死去。亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞先知來見他，對他說：“耶和華這樣說：‘你要把你的家整頓妥當，因為你快要死去，不能存活。’”

¹In those days was Hezekiah sick and near death. Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, “Thus says Yahweh, ‘Set your house in order, for you will die, and not live.’”

²希西家就轉臉向牆，對耶和華禱告、

²Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to Yahweh,

³說：“耶和華啊！求你記念我在你面前怎樣誠誠實實、以純全的心來行事，又作你眼中看為善的事。”然後，希西家就痛哭起來。

³and said, “Remember now, Yahweh, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight.” Hezekiah wept bitterly.

⁴耶和華的話臨到以賽亞說：

⁴Then the word of Yahweh came to Isaiah, saying,

⁵“你去告訴希西家：‘耶和華你祖先大衛的　神這樣說：我聽見了你的禱告，看見了你的眼淚；看哪！我必在你的壽數上加添十五年。

⁵“Go, and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says Yahweh, the God of David your father, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.

⁶我必救你和這城脫離亞述王的手；我必保護這城。’

⁶I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.

⁷以下就是耶和華給你的兆頭，為要證明耶和華必成全他所說過的。

⁷This shall be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do this thing that he has spoken.

⁸看哪！我要使亞哈斯日晷上那向前進的日影往後退十度。”於是那向前進的日影，果然在日晷上往後退了十度。

⁸Behold, I will cause the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down on the sundial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps. So the sun returned ten steps on the sundial on which it had gone down.”’”

⁹希西家的感恩歌猶大王希西家從病患中痊愈以後，就寫了這詩：

⁹The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and had recovered of his sickness.

¹⁰我曾說：在我盛年之際，我竟要進入陰間之門；我餘剩的年日，竟被奪去。

¹⁰I said, “In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. . I am deprived of the residue of my years.”

¹¹我曾說：在活人之地，我必不得見耶和華；在世間的居民中，我必不再見到任何人。

¹¹I said, “I won’t see Yah, Yah in the land of the living. I will see man no more with the inhabitants of the world.

¹²我的住處被拔起，遷離了我，像牧人的帳棚一樣；我捲起我的性命，像織布的捲布一樣；他把我從機頭剪斷；一日之間，他必使我生命終結。

¹²My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me like a shepherd’s tent. I have rolled up, like a weaver, my life. He will cut me off from the loom. From day even to night you will make an end of me.

¹³我不斷哀歎，直到早晨，他像獅子一般，折斷我所有的骨頭；一日之間，他必使我生命終結。

¹³I waited patiently until morning. He breaks all my bones like a lion. From day even to night you will make an end of me.

¹⁴我像燕子呻吟，像白鶴鳴叫，又像鴿子哀鳴。我的眼睛因仰望高處而疲倦；耶和華啊！我受欺壓，求你作我的保障。

¹⁴I chattered like a swallow or a crane. I moaned like a dove. My eyes weaken looking upward. Lord, I am oppressed. Be my security.”

¹⁵我可說甚麼呢？他應許我的，已給我成全了；因我的心曾受過苦楚，所以我要謹慎地度我所有的年日。

¹⁵What will I say? He has both spoken to me, and himself has done it. I will walk carefully all my years because of the anguish of my soul.

¹⁶主啊！人活著是在於這些，我的靈存活，也在於這些。所以求你使我恢復健康，使我存活。

¹⁶Lord, men live by these things; and my spirit finds life in all of them: you restore me, and cause me to live.

¹⁷看哪！我受盡苦楚，為要使我得平安；你保全我的性命，脫離毀滅的坑，因為你把我的一切罪都丟在你的背後。

¹⁷Behold, for peace I had great anguish, but you have in love for my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for you have cast all my sins behind your back.

¹⁸陰間不能稱謝你，死亡不能讚美你，下坑的人都不能仰望你的信實。

¹⁸For Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. can’t praise you. Death can’t celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can’t hope for your truth.

¹⁹只有活人才能稱謝你，像我今日一樣；作父親的，要讓兒女知道你的信實。

¹⁹The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do this day. The father shall make known your truth to the children.

²⁰耶和華必拯救我，因此我們要一生一世在耶和華的殿中，用絲弦的樂器彈奏我的詩歌。

²⁰Yahweh will save me. Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of Yahweh.

²¹以賽亞說：“叫人拿一塊無花果餅來，貼在瘡上，王就必痊愈。”

²¹Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover.”

²²希西家問：“我能上耶和華的殿去，有甚麼兆頭呢？”

²²Hezekiah also had said, “What is the sign that I will go up to the house of Yahweh?”
