1假神與真神的分別彼勒俯伏，尼波彎腰；巴比倫人的偶像馱在走獸和牲口上。你們所抬的現在都成了重擔，成了疲乏的牲畜身上的重負。
1Bel bows down, Nebo stoops; their idols are on the animals, and on the livestock: the things that you carried about are made a load, a burden to the weary.
2它們一同彎腰、俯伏，不能保護重負，它們自己反倒被擄去了。
2They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves have gone into captivity.
3“雅各家啊，以色列家所有餘剩的人哪！你們都要聽我的話，你們自出母腹，就蒙我懷抱；自出母胎，就蒙我提攜。
3“Listen to me, house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that have been borne from their birth, that have been carried from the womb;
4直到你們年老，我還是一樣；直到你們髮白，我仍然懷抱你。我以前既然這樣作了，以後我仍必提攜你；我必懷抱你，也必拯救你。
4and even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear; yes, I will carry, and will deliver.
5你們要把誰與我相比，誰與我相似呢？你們把誰與我比較，好使我們同等呢？
5“To whom will you liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
6那些從錢袋倒出金子，用天平稱銀子的人，雇用金匠製造神像；他們向神像又俯伏又叩拜。
6Some pour out gold from the bag, and weigh silver in the balance. They hire a goldsmith, and he makes it a god. They fall down—yes, they worship.
7他們把神像抬起來，扛在肩頭上，然後把它安置在固定的地方，它就立在那裡，總不離開它的本位。雖然有人向它呼求，它也不能回答；它也不能救人脫離患難。
7They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it, and set it in its place, and it stands, from its place it shall not move: yes, one may cry to it, yet it can not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
8 神言出必行“你們當記念這事，要堅定不移；悖逆的人哪！你們要留心思想。
8“Remember this, and show yourselves men; bring it again to mind, you transgressors.
9你們當記念上古以前的事，因為我是 神，再沒有別的神；我是 神，沒有神像我。
9Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me;
10我從起初就宣告末後的事，從古時就述說還未作成的事，說：‘我的計劃必定成功，我所喜悅的，我都必作成。’
10declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure;
11我把鷙鳥從日出之地召來，就是把成就我計劃的人從遠方召來。我不但說了，而且也要使我的話實現；我不但計劃好了，而且也必實行。
11calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country; yes, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed, I will also do it.
12心裡頑固的人哪！遠離公義的人哪！你們要聽我。
12Listen to me, you stout-hearted, who are far from righteousness:
13我使我的公義臨近了，必不遠離；我的救恩必不遲延。我要為以色列，我的榮耀，在錫安施行拯救。”
13I bring near my righteousness, it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not wait; and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
