1先知譴責人民的罪看哪！耶和華的手不是縮短了，以致不能拯救；他的耳朵不是不靈，不能聽見；
1Behold, Yahweh’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; neither his ear heavy, that it can’t hear:
2而是你們的罪孽使你們與你們的 神隔絕；你們的罪惡使他掩面不顧你們，不聽你們的禱告。
2but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
3因為你們的手沾滿了血，你們的指頭被罪孽玷污，你們的嘴唇說虛謊的話，你們的舌頭講出兇言。
3For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue mutters wickedness.
4沒有人按公義求告，沒有人憑誠實爭辯；他們都倚靠虛無，說虛謊的話；所懷的是毒害，所生的是罪孽。
4None sues in righteousness, and none pleads in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
5他們所孵化的是毒蛇的蛋，他們所結的是蜘蛛的網，吃了牠們的蛋，就一定死；蛋破了，就孵出蝮蛇來。
5They hatch adders’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he who eats of their eggs dies; and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.
6他們的網，不能作衣服，他們所作的，也不能遮蓋自己；他們所作的是罪孽的作為，他們的手裡滿是強暴的行為。
6Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
7他們的腳奔跑行惡，他們急於流無辜人的血；他們的思想都是邪惡的思想，他們的行徑全是破壞和毀滅。
7Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their paths.
8平安的路，他們不認識，在他們的行徑中沒有公平；他們為自己使道路彎曲，行在其上的，都不認識平安。
8The way of peace they don’t know; and there is no justice in their goings: they have made them crooked paths; whoever goes therein does not know peace.
9因此，公平遠離我們，公義趕不上我們，我們指望亮光，不料，卻是黑暗。我們指望光明，卻行在幽暗中！
9Therefore is justice far from us, neither does righteousness overtake us: we look for light, but, behold, darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.
10我們摸索牆壁，好像瞎子一樣；我們摸索，如同沒有眼睛的人一般；我們在中午跌倒，有如在黃昏跌倒一樣；我們在肥壯的人中，好像死人一般。
10We grope for the wall like the blind; yes, we grope as those who have no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; among those who are lusty we are as dead men.
11我們都咆哮如熊，悲鳴像鴿子；我們等候公平，卻沒有公平；指望拯救，拯救卻離我們很遠。
11We roar all like bears, and moan bitterly like doves: we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
12因為我們的過犯在你面前增多，我們的罪作證控告我們，我們的過犯與我們在一起；我們知道我們的罪孽，
12For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:
13就是悖逆、否認耶和華，轉去不跟從我們的 神，說欺壓和背道的話，心裡懷著謊言，隨即說出來；
13transgressing and denying Yahweh, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
14公平被迫後退，公義站在遠處；誠實在街上跌倒，正直不能進入。
14Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and uprightness can’t enter.
15誠實缺乏，遠離惡事的人反成為掠物。耶和華看見了，就看這為惡事，因為一點公平也沒有。
15Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Yahweh saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice.
16耶和華必拯救自己的子民他見無人行善，無人代求，就非常詫異，所以他用自己的膀臂為他施行拯救，以自己的公義扶持他。
16He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness, it upheld him.
17他穿上公義的鎧甲，戴上救恩的頭盔，穿上復仇的衣服，披上熱心作外袍。
17He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
18他要按照各人的行為施行報應，把烈怒降與他的敵人，把報應加給他的仇敵，向眾海島的人施行報應。
18According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompense.
19這樣，人從日落之處必敬畏耶和華的名，從日出之地也必敬畏他的榮耀，仇敵像河水沖來的時候，耶和華的氣必向他催逼。
19So shall they fear the name of Yahweh from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of Yahweh drives.
20“必有一位救贖主來到錫安，來到雅各家中那些轉離過犯的人那裡。”這是耶和華說的。
20“A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from disobedience in Jacob,” says Yahweh.
21耶和華說：“至於我，我與他們所立的約是這樣：我加在你們身上的靈和我放在你口裡的話，必不離開你的口，不離開你後裔的口，也不離開你後裔的後裔的口，從現在直到永遠；這是耶和華說的。”
21“As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says Yahweh. “My Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed’s seed,” says Yahweh, “from henceforth and forever.”
