1麻布腰帶的比喻耶和華這樣對我說：“你去為自己買一根麻布腰帶，束在腰上，但不要把它放在水中。”
1Thus says Yahweh to me, Go, and buy yourself a linen belt, and put it on your waist, and don’t put it in water.
2我就照著耶和華的話，買了一根腰帶，束在腰上。
2So I bought a belt according to the word of Yahweh, and put it on my waist.
3耶和華的話第二次臨到我，說：
3The word of Yahweh came to me the second time, saying,
4“拿你買來束在腰上的腰帶，起來，往幼發拉底河去，把腰帶藏在那裡的巖石縫中。”
4Take the belt that you have bought, which is on your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.
5我就照著耶和華所吩咐我的，去把腰帶藏在幼發拉底河那裡。
5So I went, and hid it by the Euphrates, as Yahweh commanded me.
6過了多日，耶和華對我說：“起來，往幼發拉底河去，把我吩咐你藏在那裡的腰帶取出來。”
6It happened after many days, that Yahweh said to me, Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the belt from there, which I commanded you to hide there.
7於是我往幼發拉底河去，在那裡挖掘，把腰帶從我埋藏的地方取出來；看哪！腰帶已經腐爛了，完全沒用了。
7Then I went to the Euphrates, and dug, and took the belt from the place where I had hidden it; and behold, the belt was marred, it was profitable for nothing.
8那時，耶和華的話臨到我，說：
8Then the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
9“耶和華這樣說：‘我必照樣敗壞猶大的尊榮和耶路撒冷極大的尊榮。
9Thus says Yahweh, In this way I will mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
10這邪惡的人民，不肯聽從我的話，他們隨著自己頑梗的心行事，隨從別的神，事奉敬拜他們；所以他們必像這根腰帶，毫無用處。
10This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and are gone after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this belt, which is profitable for nothing.
11因為腰帶怎樣緊貼著人的腰，我也曾怎樣使以色列全家和猶大全家緊貼著我，好使他們作我的子民，叫我得名聲，得讚美，得榮耀；可是他們卻不聽從。’”這是耶和華的宣告。
11For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so have I caused to cling to me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, says Yahweh; that they may be to me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
12酒瓶的比喻“你要對他們說這話：‘耶和華以色列的 神這樣說：每一個酒瓶都要盛滿酒。’如果他們對你說：‘難道我們不清楚知道每一個酒瓶都要盛滿酒嗎？’
12Therefore you shall speak to them this word: Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall tell you, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?
13你就要對他們說：‘耶和華這樣說：看哪！我要使這地所有的居民，就是那些坐大衛王位的君王，以及祭司、先知和耶路撒冷所有的居民，都完全醉倒。
13Then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings who sit on David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
14我要使他們彼此碰撞，連父子也要互相碰撞；我必不愛惜、不可憐，也不憐憫他們，我必把他們滅絕。’”這是耶和華的宣告。
14I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, says Yahweh: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have compassion, that I should not destroy them.
15警告驕傲的後果嚴重你們要聽，要留心聽，不要驕傲；因為是耶和華說的。
15Hear, and give ear; don’t be proud; for Yahweh has spoken.
16耶和華你們的 神還沒有使黑暗臨到以前，你們的腳還沒有在昏暗的山上絆倒之前，你們要把榮耀歸給他。你們期待光明，他卻把光明變為死蔭，使光明變成黝黑。
16Give glory to Yahweh your God, before he causes darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and, while you look for light, he turns it into the shadow of death, and makes it gross darkness.
17如果你們不聽從，我必因你們的驕傲暗暗哭泣；我的眼必痛哭流淚，因為耶和華的羊群被擄去了。
17But if you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret for your pride; and my eye shall weep bitterly, and run down with tears, because Yahweh’s flock is taken captive.
18你要對君王和太后說：“你們應從寶座下來，因為華麗的冠冕已經從你們的頭上脫下來了。”
18Say to the king and to the queen mother, Humble yourselves, sit down; for your headdresses have come down, even the crown of your glory.
19南地的城市已被圍困，沒有人能解圍；整個猶大都被擄走，全被擄去了。
19The cities of the South are shut up, and there is none to open them: Judah is carried away captive, all of it; it is wholly carried away captive.
20耶路撒冷啊！你要舉目觀看那些從北方來的人。從前交給你的羊群，就是你引以為榮的群羊，現今在哪裡呢？
20Lift up your eyes, and see those who come from the north: where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?
21耶和華立你自己結交（“結交”原文作“教導”）的盟友為首領管轄你，那時，你還有甚麼話說呢？痛苦豈不把你抓住，好像婦女生產時的痛苦一樣嗎？
21What will you say, when he shall set over you as head those whom you have yourself taught to be friends to you? shall not sorrows take hold of you, as of a woman in travail?
22如果你心裡問：“這些事為甚麼發生在我身上呢？”這是由於你極大的罪孽；你的袍子被掀起，你的下體（“下體”原文作“腳跟”）暴露出來。
22If you say in your heart, Why are these things come on me? for the greatness of your iniquity are your skirts uncovered, and your heels suffer violence.
23古實人怎能改變他的膚色？花豹怎能改變牠的斑點？你們這些慣作壞事的人，又怎能行善呢？
23Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may you also do good, who are accustomed to do evil.
24“因此，我要使你們（“你們”原文作“他們”）四散，像被曠野的風吹走的碎秸一樣。
24Therefore will I scatter them, as the stubble that passes away, by the wind of the wilderness.
25這是你應得的，是我量給你的分。”這是耶和華的宣告。“因為你忘記了我，去倚靠虛假的偶像；
25This is your lot, the portion measured to you from me, says Yahweh; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.
26所以，我必把你的袍子掀到你的臉上，使人看見你的醜態。
26Therefore will I also uncover your skirts on your face, and your shame shall appear.
27你的姦淫，你淫蕩的叫聲，你邪淫的惡行，在山上，在田野間，你那些可憎的事我都看見了。耶路撒冷啊，你有禍了！你這樣不潔淨要到幾時呢？”
27I have seen your abominations, even your adulteries, and your neighing, the lewdness of your prostitution, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, Jerusalem! You will not be made clean; how long shall it yet be?
