¹約哈難不信耶利米的話耶利米向眾民說完了耶和華他們的　神吩咐他的一切話，就是耶和華他們的　神差遣他去對他們說的一切話。

¹It happened that, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking to all the people all the words of Yahweh their God, with which Yahweh their God had sent him to them, even all these words,

²何沙雅的兒子亞撒利雅，和加利亞的兒子約哈難，以及所有狂傲的人，就對耶利米說：“你在說謊！耶和華我們的　神並沒有差遣你來說：‘你們不可去埃及，在那裡寄居。’

²then spoke Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying to Jeremiah, You speak falsely: Yahweh our God has not sent you to say, You shall not go into Egypt to live there;

³只是尼利亞的兒子巴錄慫恿你來反對我們，為要把我們交在迦勒底人的手中，好使我們被殺害，或被擄到巴比倫去。”

³but Baruch the son of Neriah sets you on against us, to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they may put us to death, and carry us away captive to Babylon.

⁴於是加利亞的兒子約哈難和眾將領，以及眾民，都不聽從耶和華要他們留在猶大地的命令。

⁴So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, didn’t obey the voice of Yahweh, to dwell in the land of Judah.

⁵約哈難帶領人民下埃及相反地，加利亞的兒子約哈難和眾將領卻率領猶大所有餘剩的人，就是那些從被趕逐到各國回來住在猶大地的，

⁵But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, who were returned from all the nations where they had been driven, to live in the land of Judah;

⁶包括男人、女人、孩童和王的眾公主，以及護衛長尼布撒拉旦留給沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子基大利管理的眾人，還有耶利米先知和尼利亞的兒子巴錄，

⁶the men, and the women, and the children, and the king’s daughters, and every person who Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan; and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah;

⁷把他們都帶進埃及地，去到答比匿，沒有聽從耶和華的話。

⁷and they came into the land of Egypt; for they didn’t obey the voice of Yahweh: and they came to Tahpanhes.

⁸預言巴比倫王攻擊埃及在答比匿耶和華的話臨到耶利米，說：

⁸Then came the word of Yahweh to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,

⁹“你要在猶大人眼前親手拿幾塊大石頭，埋藏在答比匿法老宮殿門前磚窯的灰泥中；

⁹Take great stones in your hand, and hide them in mortar in the brick work, which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;

¹⁰然後對他們說：‘萬軍之耶和華以色列的　神這樣說：看哪！我要派人去領我的僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒來；我要在我所埋藏的這些石頭上安設他的王位；他必在上面張開他的帳篷。

¹⁰and tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne on these stones that I have hidden; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.

¹¹他必來攻打埃及地；那些注定死亡的，必要死亡；那些注定被擄的，必要被擄；那些注定被刀殺的，必被刀殺。

¹¹He shall come, and shall strike the land of Egypt; such as are for death shall be put to death, and such as are for captivity to captivity, and such as are for the sword to the sword.

¹²他（“他”按照《馬索拉抄本》應作“我”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）必焚燒埃及的神廟，把它們燒毀，並且擄掠；他必得著埃及地，好像牧人披上衣服那麼容易；他必安然離開那裡。

¹²I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captive: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd puts on his garment; and he shall go forth from there in peace.

¹³他必打碎埃及地伯．示麥（“伯．示麥”或譯：“太陽神廟”）的神柱，放火燒毀埃及神廟。’”

¹³He shall also break the pillars of Beth Shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of Egypt shall he burn with fire.
