¹哀歎錫安的遭遇從前人煙稠密的城中，現在怎麼竟然孤獨地坐在那裡。從前在列國中為大的，現在怎麼竟然像個寡婦。從前在眾省分中為王后的，現在怎麼竟然成了奴隸。

¹How the city sits solitary, that was full of people! She has become as a widow, who was great among the nations! She who was a princess among the provinces has become tributary!

²她在夜間痛哭，淚流滿面。在她所有親愛的人中，沒有一個安慰她的。她所有的朋友都以詭詐待她，都成了她的仇敵。

²She weeps bitterly in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has none to comfort her: All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; they are become her enemies.

³猶大受盡痛苦，飽經勞役，更遭流徙異地。她住在列國中，找不著安居之所。在困境之中，追趕她的人把她追上了。

³Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude; she dwells among the nations, she finds no rest: all her persecutors overtook her within the straits.

⁴通往錫安道路悲哀，因為沒有人去守節。錫安一切的城門冷落，祭司唉哼，處女憂傷，錫安也受盡痛苦。

⁴The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn assembly; all her gates are desolate, her priests do sigh: her virgins are afflicted, and she herself is in bitterness.

⁵錫安的敵人成為主人；她的仇敵亨通。因為她的過犯眾多，耶和華就使她受苦。她的孩童在敵人面前被擄去。

⁵Her adversaries are become the head, her enemies prosper; for Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her young children are gone into captivity before the adversary.

⁶錫安（“錫安”原文作“錫安的女子”）所有的尊榮，都離開了她的居民。她的眾領袖都像找不著牧場的鹿；在追趕的人面前無力逃走。

⁶From the daughter of Zion all her majesty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, they are gone without strength before the pursuer.

⁷耶路撒冷在困苦飄流的日子，就追念她昔日的一切珍寶。她的人民落在敵人手裡的時候，沒有人幫助她。敵人看見她，就譏笑她的滅亡。

⁷Jerusalem remembers in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that were from the days of old: when her people fell into the hand of the adversary, and no one helped her, The adversaries saw her, they mocked at her desolations.

⁸耶路撒冷犯了大罪，因此成了不潔之物。素來尊敬她的現在都藐視她，因為看見她赤身露體；她自己也唉哼，轉身退避。

⁸Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she has become as an unclean thing; all who honored her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yes, she sighs, and turns backward.

⁹她的污穢沾滿了衣裙；她從不思想自己的結局。所以她令人驚異地敗落了；沒有人安慰她。她說：“耶和華啊！求你看看我的苦難，因為仇敵顯為大。”

⁹Her filthiness was in her skirts; she didn’t remember her latter end; therefore is she come down wonderfully; she has no comforter: see, Yahweh, my affliction; for the enemy has magnified himself.

¹⁰敵人伸手奪取她的一切珍寶，她看著外族人闖入她的聖所：你曾禁止他們進入你的會中。

¹⁰The adversary has spread out his hand on all her pleasant things: for she has seen that the nations are entered into her sanctuary, concerning whom you commanded that they should not enter into your assembly.

¹¹她所有的人民都在唉哼，到處尋覓食物；他們為了維持生命，拿自己的珍寶去換取糧食。她說：“耶和華啊！求你垂看，求你鑒察，因為我被人藐視。”

¹¹All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for food to refresh the soul: look, Yahweh, and see; for I am become abject.

¹²耶路撒冷自述苦況所有過路的人啊！你們毫不在意嗎？你們要細察要觀看，有沒有痛苦像我所受的痛苦，就是耶和華在他發烈怒的日子使我所受的痛苦。

¹²Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look, and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow, which is brought on me, With which Yahweh has afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.

¹³他從高天降火，使火進入我的骨頭裡。他設置網羅絆我的腳，使我退去。他使我孤單淒涼，終日愁煩。

¹³From on high has he sent fire into my bones, and it prevails against them; He has spread a net for my feet, he has turned me back: He has made me desolate and faint all the day.

¹⁴我的過犯像軛一樣被綁好；是他親手纏綁的。我的過犯加在我的頸上，他使我的氣力衰弱。主把我交在我不能對抗的人手中。

¹⁴The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand; They are knit together, they have come up on my neck; he has made my strength to fail: The Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” has delivered me into their hands, against whom I am not able to stand.

¹⁵主丟棄我中間的所有勇士；他招聚了一大群人來攻擊我，要打碎我的青年人。主踐踏猶大女兒中的處女，像踐踏壓酒池一樣。

¹⁵The Lord has set at nothing all my mighty men in the midst of me; He has called a solemn assembly against me to crush my young men: The Lord has trodden as in a winepress the virgin daughter of Judah.

¹⁶為了這些事我不住哭泣，我的眼不住流下淚水；因為那安慰我、使我重新振作的，都遠離了我。我的兒女孤單淒涼，因為仇敵得勝了。

¹⁶For these things I weep; my eye, my eye runs down with water; Because the comforter who should refresh my soul is far from me: My children are desolate, because the enemy has prevailed.

¹⁷錫安伸出雙手，但沒有人安慰她。論到雅各，耶和華已經下令，使他四圍的人都與他為敵；耶路撒冷在他們中間，已經成了不潔的東西。

¹⁷Zion spreads forth her hands; there is none to comfort her; Yahweh has commanded concerning Jacob, that those who are around him should be his adversaries: Jerusalem is among them as an unclean thing.

¹⁸　神的公義耶和華是公義的，他這樣待我，是因為我違背了他的命令。萬民哪！請你們聽我的話！看看我的痛苦！我的少女和青年人都已經被擄去了。

¹⁸Yahweh is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: Please hear all you peoples, and see my sorrow: My virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.

¹⁹我向我所愛的人呼求，他們卻欺騙我。我的祭司和長老為了延續生命，尋找糧食的時候，就在城中氣絕身亡了。

¹⁹I called for my lovers, but they deceived me: My priests and my elders gave up the spirit in the city, While they sought them food to refresh their souls.

²⁰耶和華啊！你看，患難臨到我！我的心腸激動，我的心在我裡面翻轉，因為我曾經非常悖逆。街上有刀劍使人喪子，屋裡也有死亡。

²⁰See, Yahweh; for I am in distress; my heart is troubled; My heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: Abroad the sword bereaves, at home there is as death.

²¹有人聽見我的唉哼，卻沒有人安慰我，我所有的仇敵都聽見我的災難；你作了這事，他們就歡樂。願你使你所宣告的日子來臨那時，他們就必像我一樣。

²¹They have heard that I sigh; there is none to comfort me; All my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it: You will bring the day that you have proclaimed, and they shall be like me.

²²願他們的一切惡行都擺在你面前，願你對付他們，好像你因我的一切過犯對付我一樣。因為我唉哼甚苦，我心裡愁煩。

²²Let all their wickedness come before you; Do to them, as you have done to me for all my transgressions: For my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.
