1祭司和大祭司潔淨的條例耶和華對摩西說：“你要告訴亞倫子孫作祭司的，對他們說：祭司不可在自己的族人中因死人玷污自己，
1Yahweh said to Moses, “Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, ‘A priest shall not defile himself for the dead among his people;
2除非骨肉至親，例如父母、兒女、兄弟，
2except for his relatives that are near to him: for his mother, for his father, for his son, for his daughter, for his brother,
3或是仍是處女，未曾出嫁的姊妹等至親，祭司才可以玷污自己。
3and for his virgin sister who is near to him, who has had no husband; for her he may defile himself.
4祭司不可為了姻親而玷污，褻瀆自己的聖職（全句或譯：“祭司既為族人的首領，就不可從俗玷污”）。
4He shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.
5祭司不可剃光頭髮，鬍鬚的周圍不可剃掉，也不可紋身。
5“‘They shall not shave their heads, neither shall they shave off the corners of their beards, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
6他們要成為聖，歸向他們的 神，不可褻瀆他們 神的名，因為他們奉獻耶和華的火祭，他們 神的食物，所以他們要成為聖。
6They shall be holy to their God, and not profane the name of their God; for they offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, the bread of their God; therefore they shall be holy.
7祭司不可娶被玷辱了的妓女為妻，也不可娶被丈夫離棄的女人為妻；因為祭司是歸他的 神為聖的。
7“‘They shall not marry a woman who is a prostitute, or profane; neither shall they marry a woman divorced from her husband: for he is holy to his God.
8所以你要使他分別為聖，因為他把食物獻給你的 神；你要以他為聖，因為我耶和華使你們分別為聖的，是聖潔的。
8You shall sanctify him therefore; for he offers the bread of your God: he shall be holy to you: for I Yahweh, who sanctify you, am holy.
9如果祭司的女兒羞辱自己去作妓女，就是羞辱了自己的父親；她必須用火燒死。
9“‘The daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the prostitute, she profanes her father: she shall be burned with fire.
10“在兄弟中作大祭司的，頭上倒了膏油，又受了聖職，得以穿著聖衣，就不可披頭散髮，也不可撕裂衣服。
10“‘He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, nor tear his clothes;
11不可走近死屍，也不可為了父母玷污自己。
11neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;
12他不可走出聖所，也不可褻瀆他 神的聖所，因為他 神膏立了他，使他分別為聖，我是耶和華。
12neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him. I am Yahweh.
13他要娶處女為妻。
13“‘He shall take a wife in her virginity.
14寡婦、被休的婦人、受玷辱的妓女，他都不可以娶；他只可以娶自己族人中的處女為妻。
14A widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute, these he shall not marry: but a virgin of his own people shall he take as a wife.
15不可在自己的族人中，羞辱他的後裔，因為我是使他們分別為聖的耶和華。”
15He shall not profane his seed among his people: for I am Yahweh who sanctifies him.’”
16作祭司的限制耶和華對摩西說：
16Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
17“你要告訴亞倫：你世世代代的後裔中，有殘疾的，就不可走近來獻他 神的食物。
17“Say to Aaron, ‘None of your seed throughout their generations who has a blemish, may approach to offer the bread of his God.
18因為有殘疾的，無論是瞎眼、瘸腿、五官不正、畸形、
18For whatever man he is that has a blemish, he shall not draw near: a blind man, or a lame, or he who has a flat nose, or any deformity,
19斷腳斷手的、
19or a man who has an injured foot, or an injured hand,
20駝背、矮小、眼睛有毛病、長癬、生疹，或是腎子損壞的，都不可走近來，
20or hunchbacked, or a dwarf, or one who has a defect in his eye, or an itching disease, or scabs, or who has damaged testicles;
21亞倫祭司的後裔中，有殘疾的，都不可上前來獻耶和華的火祭；他既有殘疾，就不可上前來獻他的 神的食物。
21no man of the seed of Aaron the priest who has a blemish, shall come near to offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. Since he has a blemish, he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.
22他 神的食物，無論是至聖的或是聖的，他都可以吃；
22He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.
23只因他有殘疾，他就不可進到幔子前，也不可上前到我的祭壇那裡，免得褻瀆我的聖所；我是使他們分別為聖的耶和華。”
23He shall not come near to the veil, nor come near to the altar, because he has a blemish; that he may not profane my sanctuaries, for I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.’”
24於是摩西告訴亞倫和亞倫的兒子，以及所有以色列人。
24So Moses spoke to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel.
