1攻擊與殺戮米甸人耶和華對摩西說：
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2“你要在米甸人身上報以色列人的仇，然後要歸到你本族那裡去。”
2“Avenge the children of Israel for the Midianites. Afterward you shall be gathered to your people.”
3摩西對人民說：“要從你們中間使一些人武裝起來去作戰，攻擊米甸人，好在米甸人身上為耶和華報仇。
3Moses spoke to the people, saying, “Arm men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian, to execute Yahweh’s vengeance on Midian.
4你們要從以色列眾支派中每支派打發一千人去打仗。”
4Of every tribe one thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, you shall send to the war.”
5於是從以色列千萬人中，每支派選出一千人，共有一萬二千人，都武裝起來去打仗。
5So there were delivered, out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
6摩西就打發每支派的一千人去打仗，並且派遣以利亞撒祭司的兒子非尼哈與他們一同去，非尼哈手裡拿著聖所的器皿和吹大聲的號筒。
6Moses sent them, one thousand of every tribe, to the war, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.
7他們就照著耶和華吩咐摩西的，去與米甸人作戰，殺死了所有的男人。
7They warred against Midian, as Yahweh commanded Moses; and they killed every male.
8在那些被殺的人以外，還殺了米甸的五個王，就是以未、利金、蘇珥、戶珥和利巴；又用刀殺了比珥的兒子巴蘭。
8They killed the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they killed with the sword.
9以色列人擄了米甸人的婦女、孩子；又擄掠了他們所有的牲畜、羊群和財物；
9The children of Israel took captive the women of Midian and their little ones; and all their livestock, and all their flocks, and all their goods, they took for a prey.
10並用火燒了他們所住地方的一切城市和營寨；
10All their cities in the places in which they lived, and all their encampments, they burnt with fire.
11把一切奪來的和擄掠的，連人帶牲畜都帶走；
11They took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of man and of animal.
12他們把俘擄的人和擄來的，以及奪來的東西，都帶到摩押平原，約旦河邊，和耶利哥相對的營地那裡，交給摩西和以利亞撒祭司，以及以色列的會眾。
12They brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of the children of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan at Jericho.
13摩西和以利亞撒祭司，以及會眾所有的領袖，都出到營外迎接他們。
13Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them outside of the camp.
14摩西對作戰回來的軍官，就是對千夫長和百夫長發怒。
14Moses was angry with the officers of the army, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, who came from the service of the war.
15摩西對他們說：“你們讓這些婦女存活嗎？
15Moses said to them, “Have you saved all the women alive?
16看哪，這些婦女因巴蘭的計謀，使以色列人在毗珥的事上，得罪耶和華，以致瘟疫臨到耶和華的會眾身上。
16Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against Yahweh in the matter of Peor, and so the plague was among the congregation of Yahweh.
17現在你們要把所有的男孩都殺了，也要殺死所有與男人發生過關係的婦人。
17Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him.
18但女孩子中，沒有與男人發生過關係的，你們都可以讓她們活著。
18But all the girls, who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
19你們要在營外駐紮七天，殺過人的和摸過死屍的，第三日和第七日都要潔淨自己，你們和你們擄來的人都要這樣行。
19“Encamp outside of the camp seven days: whoever has killed any person, and whoever has touched any slain, purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, you and your captives.
20你們也要潔淨一切衣服、皮具、山羊毛織的物和木器。”
20As to every garment, and all that is made of skin, and all work of goats’ hair, and all things made of wood, you shall purify yourselves.”
21以利亞撒祭司對打仗回來的兵丁說：“這是耶和華吩咐摩西的律例：
21Eleazar the priest said to the men of war who went to the battle, “This is the statute of the law which Yahweh has commanded Moses:
22金、銀、銅、鐵、錫、鉛，
22however the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
23能夠經火的東西，你們都要使它經火，就算是潔淨了，但還要用除污水潔淨它；不能經火的，你們要使它經過水。
23everything that may withstand the fire, you shall make to go through the fire, and it shall be clean; nevertheless it shall be purified with the water for impurity: and all that doesn’t withstand the fire you shall make to go through the water.
24第七日，你們要洗衣服，就為潔淨；然後才可以進營。”
24You shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you shall be clean; and afterward you shall come into the camp.”
25瓜分戰利品耶和華對摩西說：
25Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
26“你和以利亞撒祭司，以及會眾的各族長，要計算俘擄的人和掠得的牲畜的總數。
26“Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of animal, you, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the congregation;
27你要把掠奪得的分為兩半，一半給出去打仗的人，一半給全體會眾。
27and divide the prey into two parts: between the men skilled in war, who went out to battle, and all the congregation.
28你又要從出去打仗的人所得的，無論是人、牛、驢，或羊群之中，抽出五百分之一作貢物奉給耶和華；
28Levy a tribute to Yahweh of the men of war who went out to battle: one soul of five hundred; of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks.
29你們要從他們那一半中抽出，交給以利亞撒祭司，作耶和華的舉祭。
29Take it of their half, and give it to Eleazar the priest, for Yahweh’s wave offering.
30從以色列人那一半中，無論是人、牛、驢、羊群，或是各樣牲畜，都要抽出五十分之一，交給負責看守耶和華帳幕的利未人。”
30Of the children of Israel’s half, you shall take one drawn out of every fifty, of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks, of all the livestock, and give them to the Levites, who perform the duty of the tabernacle of Yahweh.”
31於是，摩西和以利亞撒祭司照著耶和華吩咐摩西的行了。
31Moses and Eleazar the priest did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
32掠得的東西，就是打仗的人所擄掠剩下來的，共有羊六十七萬五千隻，
32Now the prey, over and above the booty which the men of war took, was six hundred seventy-five thousand sheep,
33牛七萬二千頭，
33and seventy-two thousand head of cattle,
34驢六萬一千頭，
34and sixty-one thousand donkeys,
35沒有與男人發生過關係的婦人三萬二千人。
35and thirty-two thousand persons in all, of the women who had not known man by lying with him.
36出去打仗的人的分，就是他們所得的那一半，羊共有三十三萬七千五百隻；
36The half, which was the portion of those who went out to war, was in number three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep:
37這些羊群中，歸耶和華作貢物的，有六百七十五隻。
37and Yahweh’s tribute of the sheep was six hundred seventy-five.
38牛三萬六千頭，歸耶和華為貢物的，有七十二隻。
38The cattle were thirty-six thousand; of which Yahweh’s tribute was seventy-two.
39驢三萬零五百頭，歸耶和華為貢物的有六十一匹。
39The donkeys were thirty thousand five hundred; of which Yahweh’s tribute was sixty-one.
40人口一萬六千，歸給耶和華作貢物的，有三十二人。
40The persons were sixteen thousand; of whom Yahweh’s tribute was thirty-two persons.
41摩西照著耶和華吩咐他的，把貢物，就是耶和華的舉祭，交給以利亞撒祭司。
41Moses gave the tribute, which was Yahweh’s wave offering, to Eleazar the priest, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
42以色列人所得的那一半，就是摩西從打仗的人取來分給他們的
42Of the children of Israel’s half, which Moses divided off from the men who warred
43（屬於會眾的那一半，有羊三十三萬七千五百隻，
43(now the congregation’s half was three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep,
44牛三萬六千頭，
44and thirty-six thousand head of cattle,
45驢三萬零五百頭，
45and thirty thousand five hundred donkeys,
46人口一萬六千）；
46and sixteen thousand persons),
47摩西照著耶和華吩咐他的，從屬於以色列人的那一半，無論是人口或是牲畜，都抽出五十分之一，交給負責看守耶和華帳幕的利未人。
47even of the children of Israel’s half, Moses took one drawn out of every fifty, both of man and of animal, and gave them to the Levites, who performed the duty of the tabernacle of Yahweh; as Yahweh commanded Moses.
48統領萬軍的軍長、千夫長和百夫長，都來見摩西，
48The officers who were over the thousands of the army, the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, came near to Moses;
49對摩西說：“你僕人手下作戰的士兵，已經計算總數，沒有缺少一人。
49and they said to Moses, “Your servants have taken the sum of the men of war who are under our command, and there lacks not one man of us.
50現在我們把耶和華的供物，都送來了，就是我們各人所得的金器、腳鍊子、鐲子、打印戒指、耳環、手釧，好在耶和華面前，為我們自己贖罪。”
50We have brought Yahweh’s offering, what every man has gotten, of jewels of gold, armlets, and bracelets, signet rings, earrings, and necklaces, to make atonement for our souls before Yahweh.”
51摩西和以利亞撒祭司就收了他們的金子，就是各樣金子做成的器皿。
51Moses and Eleazar the priest took their gold, even all worked jewels.
52千夫長和百夫長獻給耶和華為舉祭的一切金子，共有兩百多公斤。
52All the gold of the wave offering that they offered up to Yahweh, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred fifty shekels.
53士兵都各自奪取了財物。
53(The men of war had taken booty, every man for himself.)
54摩西和以利亞撒祭司就從千夫長和百夫長手中收了金子，把它帶進會幕裡去，在耶和華面前作以色列人的記念。
54Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the Tent of Meeting, for a memorial for the children of Israel before Yahweh.
