¹弟兄們，我心裡切切盼望的，並且為以色列人向　神祈求的，是要他們得救。

¹Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.

²我可以為他們作證，他們對　神有熱心，但不是按著真見識；

²For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

³他們既然不明白　神的義，而又企圖建立自己的義，就不服　神的義了。

³For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn’t subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

⁴因為律法的終極就是基督，使所有信的人都得著義。

⁴For Christ is the fulfillment or, completion, or end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

⁵求告主名的都必得救論到出於律法的義，摩西寫著說：“遵行這些事的人就必因這些事而活。”

⁵For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, “The one who does them will live by them.” Leviticus 18:5

⁶但那出於信心的義卻這樣說：“你心裡不要說：‘誰要升到天上去呢？’（就是要把基督領下來，）

⁶But the righteousness which is of faith says this, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ Deuteronomy 30:12 (that is, to bring Christ down);

⁷或是說：‘誰要下到深淵去呢？’（就是要把基督從死人中領上來。）”

⁷or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ Deuteronomy 30:13 (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)”

⁸然而那出於信心的義還說甚麼呢？“這話與你相近，在你口裡，也在你心裡。”這話就是我們所傳信心的信息。

⁸But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart”; Deuteronomy 30:14 that is, the word of faith, which we preach:

⁹你若口裡認耶穌為主，心裡信　神使他從死人中復活，就必得救；

⁹that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

¹⁰因為心裡相信就必稱義，用口承認就必得救。

¹⁰For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

¹¹經上說：“所有信靠他的人，必不致失望。”

¹¹For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.” Isaiah 28:16

¹²其實並不分猶太人和希臘人，因為大家同有一位主；他厚待所有求告他的人，

¹²For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.

¹³因為“凡求告主名的，都必得救。”

¹³For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Joel 2:32

¹⁴然而，人還沒有信他，怎能求告他呢？沒有聽見他，怎能信他呢？沒有人傳揚，怎能聽見呢？

¹⁴How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?

¹⁵如果沒有蒙差遣，怎能傳揚呢？如經上所記：“那些傳美事報喜訊的人，他們的腳蹤多麼美！”

¹⁵And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” Isaiah 52:7

¹⁶但並不是所有的人都順從福音，因為以賽亞說：“主啊，我們所傳的，有誰信呢？”

¹⁶But they didn’t all listen to the glad news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” Isaiah 53:1

¹⁷可見信心是從所聽的道來的，所聽的道是藉著基督的話來的。

¹⁷So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

¹⁸但是我要說，他們沒有聽見嗎？他們的確聽見了，如經上所記：“他們的聲音傳遍全地，他們的言語傳到地極。”

¹⁸But I say, didn’t they hear? Yes, most certainly, “Their sound went out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.” Psalm 19:4

¹⁹我再說：以色列人真的不明白嗎？首先，摩西說：“我要使你們對那不是子民的生嫉妒，對那無知的民族起忿怒。”

¹⁹But I ask, didn’t Israel know? First Moses says, “I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation, with a nation void of understanding I will make you angry.” Deuteronomy 32:31

²⁰後來，以賽亞也放膽地說：“沒有尋找我的，我讓他們找到；沒有求問我的，我向他們顯現。”

²⁰Isaiah is very bold, and says, “I was found by those who didn’t seek me. I was revealed to those who didn’t ask for me.” Isaiah 65:1

²¹論到以色列人，他卻說：“我整天向那悖逆頂嘴的子民伸開雙手。”

²¹But as to Israel he says, “All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.” Isaiah 65:2
