¹聖靈使人脫離罪的律得自由所以現在，那些在耶穌基督裡的人就不被定罪了；

¹There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. NU omits “who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit”

²因為生命之靈的律在基督耶穌裡使我自由，脫離了罪和死的律。

²For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

³律法因肉體的軟弱所作不到的，　神作到了：他差遣自己的兒子成為罪身的樣式，為了除掉罪，就在肉體中把罪判決了，

³For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;

⁴使律法所要求的義，可以在我們這些不隨從肉體而隨從聖靈去行的人身上實現出來。

⁴that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

⁵隨從肉體的人，以肉體的事為念；隨從聖靈的人，以聖靈的事為念。

⁵For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

⁶以肉體為念就是死，以聖靈為念就是生命、平安；

⁶For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;

⁷因為以肉體為念就是與　神為仇，既不服從　神的律法，也的確不能夠服從；

⁷because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be.

⁸屬肉體的人不能得　神的喜悅。

⁸Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.

⁹　神的靈既然住在你們裡面，你們就不是屬於肉體，而是屬於聖靈的了。如果人沒有基督的靈，就不是屬於基督的。

⁹But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.

¹⁰基督若在你們裡面，你們的身體因著罪的緣故是死的，而聖靈卻因著義的緣故賜給你們生命。

¹⁰If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

¹¹如果那使耶穌從死人中復活者的靈住在你們裡面，那使基督從死人中復活的，也必藉著住在你們裡面的聖靈，使你們必死的身體活過來。

¹¹But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

¹²與基督同作　神的後嗣弟兄們，可見我們並不是欠肉體的債，隨著肉體而活。

¹²So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

¹³如果隨著肉體而活，你們必定死；如果靠著聖靈治死身體的惡行，你們就必活著。

¹³For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

¹⁴因為蒙　神的靈引導的，都是　神的兒子。

¹⁴For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.

¹⁵你們接受的，不是奴僕的靈，使你們仍舊懼怕；你們接受的，是使人成為嗣子的靈，使我們呼叫“阿爸、父”。

¹⁵For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba Abba is an Aramaic word for father or daddy, often used affectionately and respectfully in prayer to our Father in heaven. ! Father!”

¹⁶聖靈親自和我們的靈一同證明我們是　神的兒女。

¹⁶The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;

¹⁷既然是兒女，就是後嗣；是　神的後嗣，也和基督一同作後嗣。我們既然和他一同受苦，就必和他一同得榮耀。

¹⁷and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.

¹⁸耐心期待將來的榮耀我看現在的苦難，與將要向我們顯出的榮耀，是無法相比的。

¹⁸For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.

¹⁹被造的萬物都熱切渴望　神的眾子顯現出來。

¹⁹For the creation waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

²⁰因為被造的萬物服在虛空之下，不是自己願意這樣，而是由於使它屈服的那一位；

²⁰For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but because of him who subjected it, in hope

²¹被造的萬物盼望自己得著釋放，脫離敗壞的奴役，得著　神兒女榮耀的自由。

²¹that the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of decay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.

²²我們知道被造的萬物直到現在都一同在痛苦呻吟。

²²For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.

²³不但這樣，連我們這些有聖靈作為初熟果子的人，自己也在內心歎息，熱切期待成為嗣子，就是我們的身體得贖。

²³Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.

²⁴我們得救時就存著這盼望；但是看得見的盼望不是盼望，因為誰會盼望自己看見了的呢？

²⁴For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees?

²⁵但如果我們盼望沒有看見的，就會耐心地熱切期待。

²⁵But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.

²⁶照樣，聖靈也在我們的軟弱上幫助我們。原來我們不曉得應當怎樣禱告，但聖靈親自用不可言喻的歎息，替我們祈求。

²⁶In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.

²⁷那鑒察人心的，曉得聖靈的心意，因為聖靈照著　神的旨意替聖徒祈求。

²⁷He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.

²⁸我們知道，為了愛　神的人，就是按他旨意蒙召的人的益處，萬事都一同效力。

²⁸We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

²⁹因為　神預先知道的人，他就預先命定他們和他兒子的形象一模一樣，使他的兒子在許多弟兄中作長子，

²⁹For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.”

³⁰他預先命定的人，又呼召他們；所召來的人，又稱他們為義；所稱為義的人，又使他們得榮耀。

³⁰Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified.

³¹靠主就得勝有餘既是這樣，我們對這一切還有甚麼話說呢？　神若這樣為我們，誰能敵對我們呢？

³¹What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

³²他連自己的兒子都捨得，為我們眾人把他交出來，難道不也把萬有和他一同白白地賜給我們嗎？

³²He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?

³³誰能控告　神揀選的人呢？有　神稱我們為義了。

³³Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.

³⁴誰能定我們的罪呢？有基督耶穌死了，而且復活了，現今在　神的右邊，也替我們祈求。

³⁴Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

³⁵誰能使我們與基督的愛隔絕呢？是患難嗎？是困苦嗎？是迫害嗎？是飢餓嗎？是赤身露體嗎？是危險嗎？是刀劍嗎？

³⁵Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

³⁶正如經上所記：“為你的緣故，我們終日面對死亡，人看我們像待宰的羊。”

³⁶Even as it is written, “For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Psalm 44:22

³⁷但靠著愛我們的那一位，我們在這一切事上就得勝有餘了。

³⁷No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

³⁸因為我深信：無論是死、是生，是天使、是掌權的，是現在的事，是將來的事，是有能力的，

³⁸For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,

³⁹是高天的、是深淵的，或是任何別的被造之物，都不能叫我們與　神的愛隔絕，這愛是在我們的主耶穌基督裡的。

³⁹nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
