¹向耶和華求恩──甘霖在春雨的季節，你們要向耶和華求雨。耶和華閃發雷電，給人降雨，使各人的田地生長蔬菜。

¹Ask of Yahweh rain in the spring time, Yahweh who makes storm clouds, and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field.

²因為偶像所說的是空言，占卜者所見的是虛謊，他們所說的是假夢，只給人空洞的安慰。因此，眾人都如羊沒有牧人，流離困苦。

²For the teraphim have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie; and they have told false dreams. They comfort in vain. Therefore they go their way like sheep. They are oppressed, because there is no shepherd.

³“我的怒氣要向這些牧人發作，我要懲罰那些公山羊。（因為萬軍之耶和華眷顧他的羊群猶大家，使他們像戰場上雄赳赳的戰馬。）

³My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the male goats; For Yahweh of Armies has visited his flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as his majestic horse in the battle.

⁴房角石、帳棚樁、作戰的弓和所有的統治者，都從猶大而出。

⁴From him will come forth the cornerstone, from him the nail, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together.

⁵他們必像勇士，在戰場上把仇敵踐踏在街上的泥土中，他們必爭戰，因為耶和華與他們同在，他們必使敵方的騎士羞愧。

⁵They shall be as mighty men, treading down muddy streets in the battle; and they shall fight, because Yahweh is with them; and the riders on horses will be confounded.

⁶主必拯救他的子民我要使猶大家強盛起來，我必拯救約瑟家。我要使他們歸回，因為我憐憫他們；他們好像未遭我棄絕一樣，因為我是耶和華他們的　神，我必應允他們。

⁶“I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back; for I have mercy on them; and they will be as though I had not cast them off: for I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them.

⁷以法蓮人必像勇士，他們心中快樂，好像飲了酒一樣；他們的子孫看見了，也必快樂；他們的心必因耶和華歡樂。

⁷Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will rejoice as through wine; yes, their children will see it, and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Yahweh.

⁸我要向他們吹哨子，招聚他們，因為我救贖了他們。他們的人數要增多，像從前一樣。

⁸I will signal for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them; and they will increase as they have increased.

⁹雖然我把他們散播在萬民中，他們仍要在遠方記念我；他們與他們的子孫都要存活，並且歸回。

⁹I will sow them among the peoples; and they will remember me in far countries; and they will live with their children, and will return.

¹⁰我要使他們從埃及地歸回，從亞述地招聚他們，帶他們到基列地和黎巴嫩山，卻仍不夠容納他們。

¹⁰I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and there won’t be room enough for them.

¹¹他必經過苦難的海，擊打海中的波浪，尼羅河的深處也都要乾涸；亞述的驕傲必降為卑；埃及的權勢要過去。

¹¹He will pass through the sea of affliction, and will strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile will dry up; and the pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart.

¹²我必使我的子民因耶和華而強盛，他們要奉耶和華的名行事為人。”這是耶和華的宣告。

¹²I will strengthen them in Yahweh; and they will walk up and down in his name,” says Yahweh.
