¹大香柏树的比喻

¹It happened in the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, that the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

²“人子啊！你要对埃及王法老和他的众民说：‘论到你的伟大，谁能与你相比呢？

²Son of man, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude: Whom are you like in your greatness?

³看哪！亚述曾是黎巴嫩的香柏树，枝条秀美，林影茂密，树身高大，树顶在茂密的枝叶之上。

³Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with beautiful branches, and with a forest-like shade, and of high stature; and its top was among the thick boughs.

⁴众水使它长大，深渊使它长高；有江河从深渊流出环绕它栽种之地，又有支流延到田间的众树。

⁴The waters nourished it, the deep made it to grow: its rivers ran all around its plantation; and it sent out its channels to all the trees of the field.

⁵因此，它树身高大，高过田间的众树；它发旺生长的时候，因为水源丰足，所以枝子繁多，枝条长长。

⁵Therefore its stature was exalted above all the trees of the field; and its boughs were multiplied, and its branches became long by reason of many waters, when it shot them forth.

⁶空中的飞鸟都在枝上搭窝；田野的走兽都在枝条下生产；所有大国都在它的树荫下居住。

⁶All the birds of the sky made their nests in its boughs; and under its branches all the animals of the field brought forth their young; and all great nations lived under its shadow.

⁷它树身高大，枝条长长而显得秀美，因为它的根扎在水多的地方。

⁷Thus was it beautiful in its greatness, in the length of its branches; for its root was by many waters.

⁸　神园中的香柏树不能与它相比，松树比不上它的枝子；枫树也不及它的枝条；　神园中所有的树木都比不上它的秀美。

⁸The cedars in the garden of God could not hide it; the fir trees were not like its boughs, and the plane trees were not as its branches; nor was any tree in the garden of God like it in its beauty.

⁹我使它因枝条繁多而显得秀美，以致在　神的园中，伊甸所有的树木都嫉妒它。

⁹I made it beautiful by the multitude of its branches, so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied it.

¹⁰因骄狂而败亡“‘因此，主耶和华这样说：因为它树身高大，树顶在茂密的枝叶之上，又因它高大而心骄气傲，

¹⁰Therefore thus said the Lord Yahweh: Because you are exalted in stature, and he has set his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;

¹¹我就把它交在列国中为首的人手中，他必定对付它；因着它的罪恶，我就把它驱逐出去。

¹¹I will even deliver him into the hand of the mighty one of the nations; he shall surely deal with him; I have driven him out for his wickedness.

¹²必有外族人，就是列国中最强暴的，把它砍下丢弃。它的枝叶落在山上和所有的谷中；它的枝子折断，落在地上所有的水沟里；地上的万族都必走离它的荫下，把它丢弃。

¹²Strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: on the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the watercourses of the land; and all the peoples of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.

¹³空中的飞鸟都住在倒下的树身上，田野的走兽都卧在它的枝条间。

¹³On his ruin all the birds of the sky shall dwell, and all the animals of the field shall be on his branches;

¹⁴好使水旁所有的树木都不会因树身高大而自高，也不会使树顶长到茂密的枝叶上，又使一切有水滋润的树都不会高傲地屹立；因为他们在世人中，与那些下到阴府的人一起，都交与死亡、交与地的深处了。

¹⁴to the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves in their stature, neither set their top among the thick boughs, nor that their mighty ones stand up on their height, even all who drink water: for they are all delivered to death, to the lower parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with those who go down to the pit.

¹⁵“‘主耶和华这样说：它下阴间的日子，我就因它以悲哀遮盖深渊，阻塞深渊的江河，使大水停流；我要使黎巴嫩为它悲伤、田野所有的树木都因它枯干。

¹⁵Thus says the Lord Yahweh: In the day when he went down to Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained its rivers; and the great waters were stayed; and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.

¹⁶我把它扔下阴间，与那些下到阴府的人一起的时候，我就使列国因它坠落的响声而震惊。伊甸所有的树木，就是黎巴嫩有水滋润、最佳最美的树，都在地的深处得到安慰。

¹⁶I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. with those who descend into the pit; and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the lower parts of the earth.

¹⁷这些树与它一同下到阴间，往那些被刀剑所杀的人那里去。他们作过它的膀臂，曾在列国中住在它的荫下。

¹⁷They also went down into Sheol with him to those who are slain by the sword; yes, those who were his arm, that lived under his shadow in the midst of the nations.

¹⁸在伊甸所有的树木中，有谁的荣美和高大能与你相比呢？然而你却要与伊甸的树木一同下到地的深处。你要在没有受割礼的人中，与被刀剑所杀的人一同躺卧。这树就是法老和他的众民。这是主耶和华说的。’”

¹⁸To whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet you will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the lower parts of the earth: you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord Yahweh.
