¹我说，那承受产业的，虽然是全部产业的主人，但在孩童的时期，却和奴仆没有分别。

¹But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a bondservant, though he is lord of all;

²他是在监护人和管家之下，直到父亲预先指定的时候。

²but is under guardians and stewards until the day appointed by the father.

³我们也是这样，作孩童的时候，被世俗的言论所奴役；

³So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the elemental principles of the world.

⁴但到了时机成熟，　神就差遣他的儿子，由女人所生，而且生在律法之下，

⁴But when the fullness of the time came, God sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law,

⁵要把律法之下的人救赎出来，好让我们得着嗣子的名分。

⁵that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of children.

⁶你们既然是儿子，　神就差遣他儿子的灵进入我们心里，呼叫“阿爸、父！”

⁶And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Abba is a Greek spelling for the Aramaic word for “Father” or “Daddy” used in a familiar, respectful, and loving way. Father!”

⁷这样，你不再是奴仆，而是儿子；既然是儿子，就靠着　神承受产业了。

⁷So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

⁸保罗为加拉太信徒担忧从前你们不认识　神的时候，是给那些本来不是　神的作奴仆；

⁸However at that time, not knowing God, you were in bondage to those who by nature are not gods.

⁹现在你们既然认识　神，更可以说是　神所认识的，怎么还回到那些软弱贫乏的言论，情愿再作它们的奴仆呢？

⁹But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, why do you turn back again to the weak and miserable elemental principles, to which you desire to be in bondage all over again?

¹⁰你们严守日子、月份、节期、年份；

¹⁰You observe days, months, seasons, and years.

¹¹我为你们担心，恐怕我在你们身上的劳苦是白费了。

¹¹I am afraid for you, that I might have wasted my labor for you.

¹²弟兄们，我请求你们要像我一样，因为我也像你们一样。你们并没有亏负过我。

¹²I beg you, brothers, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You did me no wrong,

¹³你们知道，我第一次传福音给你们，是因为身体有病。

¹³but you know that because of weakness of the flesh I preached the Good News to you the first time.

¹⁴虽然我的身体对你们是个试炼，你们却没有轻看，也没有厌弃，反而接纳我，好像　神的天使，也好像基督耶稣。

¹⁴That which was a temptation to you in my flesh, you didn’t despise nor reject; but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

¹⁵现在，你们的欢乐在哪里呢？我可以为你们作证，那时如果可能，你们甚至愿意把你们的眼睛剜出来给我哩！

¹⁵What was the blessing you enjoyed? For I testify to you that, if possible, you would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.

¹⁶现在我把真理告诉你们，反而成了你们的仇敌吗？

¹⁶So then, have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?

¹⁷那些人热心待你们，并不是出于好意，而是想你们和我疏远，好使你们热心待他们。

¹⁷They zealously seek you in no good way. No, they desire to alienate you, that you may seek them.

¹⁸常常在善事上热心，总是好的；只是不要我在你们那里的时候才是这样。

¹⁸But it is always good to be zealous in a good cause, and not only when I am present with you.

¹⁹我的孩子们，为了你们我再受生产的痛苦，直到基督在你们里面成形。

¹⁹My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ is formed in you—

²⁰我恨不得现今就在你们那里，改变我的语气，因为我为你们十分困扰。

²⁰but I could wish to be present with you now, and to change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.

²¹两个妇人的寓意你们这愿意在律法之下的人哪！请告诉我，你们没有听过律法吗？

²¹Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, don’t you listen to the law?

²²经上记着说，亚伯拉罕有两个儿子，一个出于婢女，一个出于自由的妇人。

²²For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the handmaid, and one by the free woman.

²³但那出于婢女的，是按着肉体生的；那出于自由的妇人的，是凭着应许生的。

²³However, the son by the handmaid was born according to the flesh, but the son by the free woman was born through promise.

²⁴这都是寓意的说法：那两个妇人就是两个约，一个是出于西奈山，生子作奴仆，这是夏甲。

²⁴These things contain an allegory, for these are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children to bondage, which is Hagar.

²⁵这夏甲是指着阿拉伯的西奈山，相当于现在的耶路撒冷，她和她的儿女都是作奴仆的。

²⁵For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to the Jerusalem that exists now, for she is in bondage with her children.

²⁶那在上面的耶路撒冷是自由的，她是我们的母亲，

²⁶But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

²⁷因为经上记着说：“不能生育、没有生养的啊，你要欢欣！没有受过生产痛苦的啊，你要呼喊，大声呼叫！因为弃妇比有夫之妇有更多儿子。”

²⁷For it is written, “Rejoice, you barren who don’t bear. Break forth and shout, you that don’t travail. For more are the children of the desolate than of her who has a husband.” Isaiah 54:1

²⁸可是，弟兄们，你们是按着应许作儿女的，好像以撒一样。

²⁸Now we, brothers, as Isaac was, are children of promise.

²⁹不过，当时那按着肉体生的，迫害那按着圣灵生的，现在也是这样。

²⁹But as then, he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so also it is now.

³⁰然而经上怎样说呢？”把婢女和她的儿子赶出去，因为婢女的儿子，绝对不可以和自由的妇人的儿子一同承受产业。”

³⁰However what does the Scripture say? “Throw out the handmaid and her son, for the son of the handmaid will not inherit with the son of the free woman.” Genesis 21:10

³¹所以，弟兄们，我们不是婢女的儿女，而是自由的妇人的儿女了。

³¹So then, brothers, we are not children of a handmaid, but of the free woman.
