¹And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.

¹重建祭壇到了七月，各城裡的以色列人，如同一人，都在耶路撒冷聚集。

²Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.

²約薩達的兒子耶書亞和作祭司的親族，撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯和他的兄弟都起來，建築以色列　神的祭壇，為要照著神人摩西律法書上所寫的，在祭壇上獻燔祭。

³And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear was upon them because of the people of those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD, even burnt offerings morning and evening.

³因為他們懼怕當地的居民，就在殿的原有根基上建立祭壇，在祭壇上向耶和華獻燔祭，就是早晚的燔祭。

⁴They kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the custom, as the duty of every day required;

⁴他們又按照律法上所記載的守住棚節，每天照著規定的數目獻上當天的燔祭。

⁵And afterward offered the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the LORD.

⁵另外，又獻常獻的燔祭、月朔獻的燔祭和一切耶和華的聖節所獻的燔祭，以及甘心樂意的人向耶和華所獻的甘心祭。

⁶From the first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt offerings unto the LORD. But the foundation of the temple of the LORD was not yet laid.

⁶從七月一日起，他們就開始向耶和華獻燔祭，但是那時耶和華的殿還沒有立定根基，

⁷They gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia.

⁷他們把銀子給石匠和木匠，把食物、飲料和油給西頓人和推羅人，叫他們照著波斯王古列所允許的，把香柏木從黎巴嫩經海運送到約帕。

⁸Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the LORD.

⁸重建聖殿眾人來到耶路撒冷　神的殿以後，第二年二月，撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯、約薩達的兒子耶書亞和他們其餘的兄弟，就是祭司、利未人和所有從被擄之地回到耶路撒冷的人，就開始動工建造；又委派二十歲以上的利未人，監督耶和華殿的工程。

⁹Then stood Jeshua with his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to set forward the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brethren the Levites.

⁹耶書亞和他的兒子及兄弟，甲篾和他的兒子，就是何達威雅的子孫（“何達威雅的子孫”或譯：“猶大人”），同心協力監督建造　神殿的工人，有利未人希拿達的兒子和兄弟協助他們。

¹⁰And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.

¹⁰建築工人奠立耶和華殿根基的時候，祭司都穿上禮服，拿著號筒，亞薩子孫的利未人，都拿著響鈸，站在自己的位置，按照以色列王大衛所定的儀式讚美耶和華。

¹¹And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

¹¹他們讚美和稱謝，向耶和華歌唱，說：“耶和華是至善的，他向以色列人所施的慈愛永遠長存。”他們讚美耶和華的時候，眾人都大聲呼喊，因為耶和華殿的根基已經奠定。

¹²But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:

¹²很多年老的祭司、利未人和族長，曾經見過先前的殿，眼見這殿的根基再次奠立，就放聲大哭，但也有許多人高聲歡呼，

¹³So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.

¹³以致分不清到底是歡呼聲或哭聲。因為眾人都大聲呼喊，這聲音在很遠的地方也可以聽見。
