¹Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

¹पिरेम क रस्ता पर कोसिस करत रहा। अउर आध्यात्मिक बरदानन क निष्ठा क साथे अभिलास करआ। बिसेस रूप स परमेस्सर क तरफ स बोलइ क।

²For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

²काहेकि जेका दुसरन क भाखा मँ बोलइ क बरदान मिला ब, उ तउ सही मँ लोगन स नाहीं, बल्कि परमेस्सर स बात करत बाटइ। काहेकि ओका केउ समझ नाहीं पावत, उ त आतिमा क सक्ति स रहस्यमय होइके बानी बोलत बा।

³But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

³मुला उ जेका परमेस्सर कइँती स बोलइ क बरदान मिला बा, उ लोगन स ओन्हे आतिमा मँ मजबूत प्रोत्साहन अउर चैन पहुँचावइ बरे बोलत बा।

⁴He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

⁴जेका विभिन्न भाखन मँ बोलइ क बरदान मिला बा उ तउ बस आपन आतिमा क ही मजबूत करत ह मुला जेका परमेस्सर कइँती स बोलइ क सामर्थ मिला बा उ समूची कलीसिया क आध्यात्मिक रूप स मजबूत बनावत ह।

⁵I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

⁵अब मइँ चाहत हउँ कि तू सबइ दूसर कइयउ भाखा बोला। मुला एहसे जियादा मइँ इ चाहित हउँ कि तू परमेस्सर कइँती स बोल सका काहेकि कलीसिया क आध्यात्मिक मजबूती क बरे अपने कहे क बियाखिया करइवाले क छोड़िके, दूसरी भाखा बोलइवालन स परमेस्सर कइँती स बोलइवाला बड़ा बा।

⁶Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?

⁶तउन भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, अगर दूसरी भाखन मँ बोलत भआ मइँ तोहरे लगे आवउँ तउ हसे तोहार का भला होइ, जब तलक कि तोहरे बरे मइँ कउनउ रहस्य उद्घाटन, दिव्य गियान, परमेस्सर क सन्देस या कउनउ उपदेस न देउँ।

⁷And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?

⁷इ बोलब त अइसेन ही होइ जइसे कउनो बाँसुरी या सांरगी जइसेन निर्जीव बाजा क आवाज। अगर कउनो बाजा क स्वरन मँ परस्पर साफ अन्तर न होइ तउ कउनउ कइसे पता लगाइ पाई कि बाँसुरी या सांरगी पर कउन स धुन बजाइ जात बा।

⁸For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

⁸अउर अगर बिगुल स अस्पस्ट आवाज निकलइ लागइ तउ फिन युद्ध क बरे तइयार के होई?

⁹So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

⁹इही तरह कउनो दूसरे क भाखा मँ जब तक कि तू साफ-साफ न बोला, तब तलक केऊॅ कइसेन समझ पाई कि तू का कहे रह्या। काहेकि अइसेन मँ तू बस हवा मँ बोलाइवाला ही रही जाब्या।

¹⁰There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.

¹⁰एहमाँ कउनउ संदेह नाहीं बा कि संसार मँ भाँति-भाँति क बोली अहइँ अउर ओहमाँ स कउनउ खराब नाहीं अहइ।

¹¹Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.

¹¹तउन अब तलक मइँ ओह भाखा क जानकार नाहीं हउँ, तब तलक बोलइवालन क बरे मइँ एक अजनबी ही रहबइ। अउर उ बोलइवाला मोरे बरे एक ठु अजनबी ही ठहरी।

¹²Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

¹²तोह पइ इ बात लागू होत ह काहेकि तू आध्यात्मिक बरदानन क पावइ बरे उत्सुक अहा। इही बरे ओहमाँ भरपूर होइ क प्रयास करा। जेहसे कलीसिया क आध्यात्मिक मजबूति मिली जाइ।

¹³Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.

¹³परिणामसरूप जउन दूसर भाखा मँ बोलत ह, ओका पराथना करई चाही कि उ आपन कहे क मतलब भी बताइ सकइ।

¹⁴For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

¹⁴काहेकि अगर मइँ किहींउ अउर भाखा मँ पराथना करउँ तउ मोर आतिमा त पराथना करत रही होत ह मुला मोरे बुद्धि बेकार रहत ह।

¹⁵What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

¹⁵तउ फिन का करइ चाही? मइँ आपन आतिमा स तउ पराथना करबइ। मुला ओकरे साथ आपन बुद्धि स भी पराथना करबइ। आपन आतिमा स त ओकर स्तुति करबइ ही मुला आपन बुद्धि स भी ओकर स्तुति करबइ।

¹⁶Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?

¹⁶काहेकि अगर तू केवल आपन आतिमा स ही कउनउ आसीर्बाद द्या तउ हुवाँ बइठा कउनउ मनई जउन बस सुनत अहइ, तोहरे धन्यबाद पर “आमीन” कइसे कहि देई काहेकि तू जउन कहत अहा, ओका उ जनबइ नाहीं करत।

¹⁷For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.

¹⁷अब देखा तू तउ चाहे भली-भाँति धन्यबाद देत अहा मुला दूसर मनई क तउ ओसे कउनउ आध्यात्मिक मजबूति नाहीं होत।

¹⁸I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:

¹⁸मइँ परमेस्सर क धन्यबाद देत हउँ कि मइँ तोसे बढ़कर क विभिन्न भाखा बोलि सकित हउँ।

¹⁹Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

¹⁹मुला कलीसिया सभा क बीच कउनो दूसरी भाखा मँ दसहु हजार सब्द बोलइ क अपेच्छा आपन बुद्धि क उपयोग करत हुए पाँच सब्द बोलब अच्छा समझत अहउँ ताकि दूसरे क भी उपदेस दइ सकउँ।

²⁰Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.

²⁰भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, अपने बिचारन मँ गदेलन क नाई रहा बल्कि बुराइयन क बारे मँ अबोध गदेला जइसेन बना रहा। मुला आपन चिन्तन मँ समझदार बना।

²¹In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.

²¹व्यवस्था मँ लिखा बा: “उपयोग ओनकर करत भए अउर बोली बोलत जउन, ओनके ही मुँहन क, उपयोग करत भए जउन क पराया मइँ करबइ बात एनसे पर न इ हमार सुनिहीं बात तब भी।” यसायाह 28:11-12 पर्भू अइसेन ही कहत ह।

²²Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

²²तउन दूसर भाखा बोलइ क बरदान अबिसवासियन क बरे संकेत अहइ न कि बिसवासियन क बरे अहइ। जब कि भविसबाणी करब अबिसवासियन बरे नाहीं बल्कि बिसवासियन बरे अहइ।

²³If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

²³तउन अगर समूचा कलीसिया एकट्ठ होइ अउर हर केऊॅ दूसर-दूसर भाखा मँ बोलत होइ तब भी बाहर क लोग या अबिसबासी भित्तर आइ जाइँ तउ का उ पचे तोहे पागल न कइहीं।

²⁴But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

²⁴मुला अगर हर केउ परमेस्सर कइँती स बोलत होइँ अउर तब तलक कछू अबिसवासी या बाहर क आइ जाइँ त का सब लोग ओका ओकर पाप क बोध न कराइ देइहीं। सब लोग जे कहत हीं, ऊही पइ ओकर निआव होई।

²⁵And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

²⁵जब ओकरे मने क भित्तर छिपा भेद खुली जाइ तब तलक उ इ कहत भआ, “सचमुच तोहरे बीच परमेस्सर अहइ।” दण्डवत प्रणाम कइके परमेस्सर क आराधना करिहीं।

²⁶How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

²⁶भाइयो तथा बहिनियो! तउ फिन का करइ चाही? तू जब एकट्ठा होत ह तोहमाँ स कउनउ भजन, कउनउ उपदेस अउर कउनउ आध्यात्मिक रहस्य क उद्घाटन करत ह। कउनउ केउ अउर भाखा मँ बोलत ह त कउनउ ओकर बियाखिया करत ह। इ सब बात कलीसिया क आध्यात्मिक मजबूती क बरे कीन्ह जाइ चाही।

²⁷If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

²⁷अगर केउ अउर भाखा मँ बोलत बाटइ तउन जियादा स जियादा दुइ या तीन क ही बोलइ चाही अउर बारी बारी, एक-एक कइके अउर जउन कछू कहा गवा बा, एक-एक क ओकर बियाखिया करइ चाही।

²⁸But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

²⁸अगर उहाँ बियाखिया करइवाला केउ न होइ तउ बोलइवाले क चाही कि उ सभा मँ चुपइ रहइ अउर फिन ओका अपने आप स अउर परमेस्सर स ही बात करइ चाही।

²⁹Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

²⁹परमेस्सर कइँती स ओकर दूत क रूप मँ बोलइ क जेनका बरदान मिला बा, अइसेन दुइ या तीन नबियन क ही बोलइ चाही अउर दूसरन क चाही कि जउन कछू उ कहे अहइ, उ ओका परखत रहइँ।

³⁰If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.

³⁰अगर हुवाँ केउ बइठा भआ पर कउने क बात रहस्य उद्घाटन होत ह जउन परमेस्सर कइँती स बोलत अहइ पहिला वक्ता क चुप होइ जाइ चाही।

³¹For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

³¹काहेकि तू एक-एक कइके भविस्सबाणी कइ सकत ह्या ताकि सबहिं लोग सीखइँ अउर प्रोत्साहित होइँ।

³²And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

³²नबियन क आतिमन नबियन क बस मँ रहत हीं।

³³For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

³³काहेकि परमेस्सर अव्यवस्था नाहीं देत, उ सान्ति देत ह। जइसेन कि सन्तन क सभन कलीसियन मँ होत ह।

³⁴Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

³⁴स्त्रियन क चाही क उ कलीसियन मँ चुप रहइँ काहेकि ओन्हे सान्त रहइ चाही, बल्कि जइसेन कि व्यवस्था मँ कहा गवा बा, ओनका दबिके रहइ चाही।

³⁵And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

³⁵अगर उ कछू जानइ चाहत ह तउ ओन्हे घरे पे आपन-आपन पति स पूछइ चाही काहेकि एक स्त्री क बरे सर्मनाक अहइ कि उ सभा मँ बोलइ।

³⁶What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

³⁶का परमेस्सर क बचन तोहसे पैदा भवा बा? या उ मात्र तोहे तलक पहुँचा? निस्चित नाहीं बा।

³⁷If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

³⁷अगर केउ सोचत ह कि उ नबी अहइ अउर ओका कछू आध्यात्मिक बरदान मिला बा तउ ओका पहिचान लेइ चाही कि मइँ तोहे जउन कछू लिखत हउँ, उ पर्भू क आदेस बा।

³⁸But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

³⁸तउन अगर केउ ऍका नहीं पहिचान पावत तउ ओका उ परमेस्सर द्वारा भी नाहीं जाना चाई।

³⁹Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

³⁹एह बरे मोर भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, परमेस्सर कइँती स बोलइ क तत्पर रहा अउर दूसरा भाखा मँ बोलइ वालन क भी न रोका।

⁴⁰Let all things be done decently and in order.

⁴⁰मुला इ सभन बातन सही ढंग स अउर व्यवस्थानुसार कइ जाइ चाही।
