1Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
1ईसू मसीह क सेवक अउर प्रेरित समौन पतरस कइँती स उ लोगन क नाउँ जेनका परमेस्सर स हमरे जइसा बिस्सास प्राप्त अहइ। काहेकि हमार अउर उद्धारकर्ता ईसू मसीह निआव क कर्ता अहइ।
2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
2तू परमेस्सर अउर हमरे पर्भू ईसू क जान चुका अहा इ खातिर तू सबन्क परमेस्सर क कृपा अउर अनुग्रह बहुतइ जियादा मिली होई।
3According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
3अपने जिन्नगी क खातिर अउर परमेस्सर क सेवा खातिर जउन कछू हमका चाही तउन सब हमका अपने दिव्य सक्ती अउर अच्छाई दुआरा उ हमका दिहे अहइ। काहेकि हम पचे ओका जानित ह जउन अपने धार्मिकता अउर महिमा क कारण स हमका बोलाएस हवै।
4Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
4एनहिन क दुआरा उ हमका अइसे महान अउर अमूल्य बरदान दिहे अहइ, जउन देइ क खातिर उ प्रतिग्या करे रहा। जेहसे तू पचे परमेस्सर क दिव्य प्रकृति क साझीदार अउर भ्रस्टाचार स बच सका, जउन लोगन क बुरी इच्छन क कारण स इ संसार मँ बना अहइ।
5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
5एही खातिर अपने बिस्सास मँ नीक गुणन क नीक गुणन मँ गियान क,
6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
6गियान मँ आत्म-संयम क, आत्म-संयम मँ धीरज क, धीरज मँ परमेस्सर क भक्ती क,
7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
7ईसू क भक्ती मँ भाइयन अउर बहिनियन क, भाइयन अउर बहिनियन मँ पिरेम क उदारता क संग बढ़ावत चला।
8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
8काहेकि अगर इ गुण तू पचन मँ अहइँ अउर ओनकर विकास होत बाटइ तउन उ पचे तोह सबन क कर्मसील अउर सफल बनाइ देइही अउर ओनसे तू पचे क हमरे पर्भू ईसू मसीह क पूरा गियान मिल जाई।
9But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
9मुला जेहमाँ, ई गुण नाहीं बाटेन, ओहमाँ दूर-दिस्टी नाही बा, उ आँधर अहइ। अउर उ ई भूल गवा अहइ कि ओकरे पाछे क पापेन क धोइ दीन्ह गवा अहइ।
10Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
10एही बरे भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, ई दिखावइ खातिर खूब तइयार रहा कि वास्तव मँ तू पचन्क परमेस्सर दुआरा बोलावा गवा अहइ अउर चुना गवा अहइ काहेकि अगर तू पचे इ बातन क करत अहा तउ न कबहूँ ठोकर खाब्या अउर न गिरब्या।
11For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
11अउर ई तरह स हमरे पर्भू अउर उद्धारकर्त्ता ईसू मसीह क अनन्त राज्ज मँ तू पचन्क महान प्रवेस दइके परमेस्सर आपन उदारता देखाई। उ राज्ज हमेसा हमेसा चलत रही।
12Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
12इहइ कारण स मइँ तू पचन क, यद्यपि तू पचे ई जानत ही अहा कि जउन सत्य तोहका मिला अहइ, ओह पइ डटे रहा, मइँ ई बातन क सदा याद करावत रहब।
13Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
13जब तक मइँ काया मँ रहबइ तू सबन्क याद देवाइके सचेत करत इ उचित जानित हउँ।
14Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
14काहेकि मइँ इ जानित हउँ कि मोका अपने इ काया क जल्दी ही छौड़इ क होई जइसेन हमरे पर्भू ईसू मसीह मोका देखाएस ह।
15Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
15एही बरे मइँ आपन पूरा प्रयत्न करबइ कि मोरे मरि जाइके बाद भी तू पचे मोरे इ बातन क याद रख सका।
16For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
16जब हम आपन पर्भू ईसू मसीह क सामरथ क बारे मँ बताए अही अउर ओकरे अवाई क बारे मँ भी कहे अही। तउ हम चालाकी स गढ़ी भइन किस्सन क सहारा नाही लीन्ह काहेकि हम तउ ओहकी महानता क खुदइ गवाहदार अही।
17For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
17जब परमपिता परमेस्सर स उ सम्मान अउर महिमा पाइ लिहस तउ दिव्य उपस्थिति सही विसिस्ठ वाणी परगट भइ रही, “इ मोर पिआरा बेटवा अहइ, मइँ एहसे प्रसन्न हउँ।”
18And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
18हम आकास स आई भइ इ वाणी सुने रहेन। तबहिं तउ हम पवित्तर पर्वत पइ ओकरे साथेन रहेन।
19We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
19हमहूँ क भी नबियन क बचन क पुस्टी पइ अउर जियादा आस्था होइ गइ। इ बात प धियान दइके त पचे इ अच्छा करत अहा काहेकि इ तउ एक प्रकास बाटइ जउन अँधियारे ठाँव मँ तबइ तक चमकत रहत ह जब तलक पौ फाटत ह अउर तोह सबन क हिरदइ मँ भोर क तारा उदय होत ह।
20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
20मुला सबसे बड़ी बात इ अहइ कि तू पचन्क जान लेइ चाही कि पवित्तर सास्तरन क कउनउ भविस्सबाणी नबियन क अपने बिचारन क परिणाम न अहइ।
21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
21काहेकि कउनउ मनई जउन कहइ चाहत ह ओकरे अनुसार भविस्सबाणी नाही होत बल्कि पवित्तर आतिमा क प्रेरणा स मनई परमेस्सर क बाणी बोलत ह।
