1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1जब दुनिया क सुरूआत भइ, तब ओह समइ बचन पहिलेन स रहा। उहइ बचन परमेस्सर क साथ रहा। उहइ बचन परमेस्सर रहा।
2The same was in the beginning with God.
2उहइ बचन एकदम सुरूआत मँ परमेस्सर क साथ रहा।
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
3समूची दुनिया क सब चीज उहइ स पइदा भइ। ओकरे बिना कउनो चीज बनाईं नाहीं गइ।
4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
4उहइ बचन मँ जिन्नगी रही अउर उहइ जिन्नगी पूरी दुनिया क सब मनई क बरे ज्योति (गियान, भलाई) क नाई रहा।
5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
5ज्योति आँधियारे मँ चमकत ह अउर आँधियारा ओका जीत न पावा।
6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
6परमेस्सर क पठवा एक मनई आवा जेकर नाउँ यूहन्ना रहा।
7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
7उ एक साच्छी क नाईं आवा जइसे कि उ सब मनई क ज्योति क बारे मँ अपने बचन मँ बताइ सकइ। अउर जउन उ बतावइ ओहमाँ सब मनई बिसवास कर सकइँ।
8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
8उ खुदइ ज्योति नाहीं रहा मुला उ सब मनई क ज्योति क साच्छी देइ आइ रहा।
9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
9उ इ बतावइ आइ रहा कि इ ज्योति बिल्कुल सच्ची अहइ, अउर उ इ हर एक मनई क प्रकासित करी। उ इ बतावइ आइ रहा कि सच्चा ज्योति इ दुनिया मँ आवइवाला अहइ।
10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
10उ तउ इहइ दुनिया मँ रहा अउर इ दुनिया क उहइ पइदा किहेस मुला दुनिया ओका पहिचान नाहीं पाएस।
11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
11उ अपने संसार मँ आवा रहा, मुला ओकर आपन मनई ओका नाहीं अपनाएन।
12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
12मुला जउन मनई ओका अपनाइ लिहेन्ह, ओनका सबका उ परमेस्सर संतान होइ क अधिकार दिहेस।
13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
13परमेस्सर क औलाद क नाई उ कुदरती तौर प न तउ लहू स पइदा भवा, न तउ कउनो तने क इच्छा स, अउर न तउ महतारी-बाप क योजना स। मुला उ परमेस्सर स पइदा भवा।
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
14उहइ बचन देह अपनाइ क हमरे सबके बीच मँ रहइ लाग। हम सब परमपिता क एकइ पूत क नाई ओकरी महिमा क दर्सन कीन्ह। उ बचन अनुग्रह अउर सच्चाई स भरा रहा।
15John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
15यूहन्ना ओकर साच्छी दिहेस अउर सबका सुनाइ क जोर स कहेस, “इ उहइ अहइ जेकरे बारे मँ मइँ बताए रहेउँ, ‘उ जउन मोरे बाद आवइवाला अहइ, उ मोसे महान अहइ, मेसे आगे अहइ, एह बरे कि उ मोहूँ स पहले मौजूद रहा।’“
16And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
16ओकरी करूणा अउर सच्चाई क पूर्णता स हमका सबेन्क तमाम अनुग्रह पर अनुग्रह मिला।
17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
17हमका सबेन्क जउन व्यवस्था मिली अहइ, उ तउ मूसा क दीन्ह अहइ, मुला जउन अनुग्रह अउर सच्चाई इ दुनिया मँ अहइ, उ ईसू मसीह क दीन्ह अहइ।
18No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
18परमेस्सर क कबहूँ कउनो आज तलक नाहीं देखे अहइ, मुला परमेस्सर क जउन एकइ पूत अहइ, अउर जउन हमेसा परमपिता क संग रहत ह, ओका हमरे सबके सामने परगट किहेस।
19And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
19जब यरूसलेम क यहूदियन याजकन अउर लेवियन क यूहन्ना क पास इ पूछइ क बरे भेजेन्ह, “तू कउन अहूया?”
20And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
20तउ उ इ साच्छी दिहेस अउर बिना कउनो हिचकिचाहट क इ मानेस, “मइँ मसीह न अहउँ।”
21And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
21तउ उ पचे यूहन्ना स पूछेन्ह, “तउ तू फिन कउन अहूया, का तू एलिय्याह अहूया?” यूहन्ना इ जवाब दिहेस, “नाहीं, मइँ उहइ न अहउँ।” यहूदियन पूछेस, “तउ तू का कउनो नबी अहूया?” उ फिन इन्कार कइ दिहेस, “नाहीं।”
22Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
22फिन उ पचे ओसे पूछेन्ह, “तउ तू का अहूया? हमका बतावा जइसे कि हम ओनका जवाब दइ देई, जे हमका पचेन्क हियाँ भेजेस ह! तू अपने बारे मँ का कहत अहा?”
23He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
23यूहन्ना कहेस: ‘मइँ आवाज अहउँ जउन रेगिस्तान मँ पुकारत अहइ: ‘पर्भू क बरे सोझ सोझ रास्ता बनावा।” यसायाह 40:3
24And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.
24इन सबन क फरीसियन भेजे रहेन्ह।
25And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
25उ लोग ओसे पूछेन, “जदि तू न तउ मसीह अह्या, न एलिय्याह अह्या, अउर न तउ नबी अह्या, फिन काहे बरे तू सब लोगन क बपतिस्मा देत अहा?”
26John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
26यूहन्ना ओन पचेन्क जवाब दिहेस, “मइँ ओन सबेन्ह का पानी स बपतिस्मा देत अहउँ। तोहरे सबन क बीच मँ एक ठु मनई अहइ, ओका तू पचे नाहीं जानत अहा।
27He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
27उ मोरे बाद आवइवाला उहइ अहइ। मइँ तउ ओकरे पनहीं क फीता खोलइ लायक नाहीं अहउँ।”
28These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.
28इ सब घटना यरदन क पार बैतनिय्याह मँ घटिन ह जहाँ प यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देत रहा।
29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
29ओकरे दूसरे दिन यूहन्ना ईसू क अपने लगे आवत देखेस तउ कहेस, “परमेस्सर क मेमना क देखा जउन दुनिया क सब पाप हर लेत ह।
30This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
30इ उहइ अहइ जेकरे बावत मइँ बताए रहेउँ, ‘एक मनई मोरे बाद आवइवाला अहइ, जउन मोसे भी महान अहइ, उ मोसे भी आगे अहइ, उ मोसे पहले स मौजूद रहा।’
31And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
31पहले मइँ खुद ओका नाहीं जानत रहेउँ, मुला मइँ इही बरे बपतिस्मा देत चला आवत अहउँ, जइसे कि इस्राएल क सब मनई ओका जान लेइँ।”
32And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

33And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

34And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
34मइँ ओका देखे अहउँ अउर मइँ साच्छी देत अहउँ कि उहइ परमेस्सर क पूत अहइ।”
35Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
35दूसरे दिन यूहन्ना अपने दुइ चेलन क साथ फिन उहइ जगह प मौजूद रहा।
36And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
36जब ईसू क उ अपने पास देखेस तउ कहेस, “देखा! इ इहइ परमेस्सर क मेमना!”
37And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
37जब उ दुइनउँ चेलन ओनका इ कहत सुनेन तउ उ दुइनउँ ईसू क पाछे चल पड़ेन्ह।
38Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
38ईसू ओन पचे क जबहिं अपने पाछे आवत देखेस तउ ओसे पूछेस, “तोहका का चाही?” उ पचे जवाब दिहेन, “रब्बी, तू कउन जगह प रहत ह” (“रब्बी” अर्थात “गुरू”)
39He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
39ईसू ओनका जवाब दिहेस, “आवा अउर देखा।” ओकरे बाद उ दुइनउँ चेलन ओनके पाछे चल दिहेन। उ पचे फिन ओकर रहइ क जगह देखेन। ओह दिन उ दुइनउँ चेलन ओनके साथ ठहरेन्ह, काहेकि साँझ क करीब चार बज चुका रहा।
40One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
40जउन दुइनउँ चेलन यूहन्ना क बात सुने रहेन्ह अउर ईसू क पाछे चला गएन, ओनमाँ स एक समौन पतरस क भाई अन्द्रियास रहा।
41He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
41उ पहले अपने भाई समौन क देखके ओसे कहेस, “हमका मसीह मिल गवा अहइ।”
42And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
42फिन अन्द्रियास समौन पतरस क ईसू क लगे लियाइ गवा। ओनक देखके ईसू कहेस, “तू यूहन्ना क बेटवा समौन अह्या। तोहका लोग कैफा (अर्थात् पतरस) कहिहइँ।”
43The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.
43दूसरे दिन ईसू गलील जाइके बरे ठान लिहेस। फिन फिलिप्पुस क देखके ईसू ओसे कहेस, “मोरे पाछे चला आवा।”
44Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
44फिलिप्पुस अन्द्रियास अउर पतरस क नगर बैतसैदा क रहइवाला रहा।
45Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
45फिलिप्पुस क नतनएल मिला अउर उ ओसे कहेस, “हम पचन्क उ मिल गवा अहइ जेकरे बारे मँ व्यवस्था मँ मूसा अउर तमाम नबियन लिखे अहइँ। उहइ यूसुफ क बेटवा, नासरत क ईसू अहइ।”
46And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
46फिन नतनएल ओसे पूछेस, “का नासरतउ स कउनो अच्छी चीज पैदा होइ सकत ह” फिलिप्पुस जवाब दिहेस, “जाइके खुदइ देखि ल्या।”
47Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
47ईसू नतनएल क अपनी कइँती आवत देखेस अउर ओकरे बारे मँ कहेस, “इ एक सच्चा इस्त्राएली अहइ जेहमाँ कउनो खोट नाहीं बा।”
48Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
48नतनएल पूछेस, “तू मोका कइसे जानत अहा?” ईसू जवाब दिहेस, “फिलिप्पुस क बोलावइ क पहिले मइँ तोहका अंजीर क पेड़ क नीचे खड़ा देखे रहेउँ।”
49Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
49नतनएल जवाब दिहेस, “रब्बी (गरू) तू परमेस्सर क पूत अह्या, तू इस्त्राएल क राजा अह्या।”
50Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
50एकरे जवाब मँ ईसू कहेस, “तू इ बरे बिसवास करत अहा, काहेकि मइँ कहत अहउँ कि तोहका अंजीर क पेड़ क खाले देखे रहेउँ। तू अगवा (बाद मँ) अउर बड़ी बड़ी बातन देखब्या।”
51And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
51उ ओसे (नतनएल स) फिन कहेस, “मइँ तोहका सही सही बतावत अहउँ कि तू सरग क खुलत अउर परमेस्सर क दूतन क मनई क पूत प उतरत चढ़त देखब्या।”
