¹Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

¹फसह क त्यौहार क छ: दिन पहले ईसू बैतनिय्याह कइँती चल दिहेस। हुवाँ लाजर रहत रहा जेहिका ईसू मरे स जिआइ दिहे रहा।

²There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

²हुवाँ ईसू क बरे उ पचे खाना बनवाएऩ। मार्था ओका खाना परोसेस। ईसू क साथे खाना खाइवालेन मँ लाजर सामिल रहा।

³Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

³मरियम जटामॉसी स बनावा आधा आधा लीटर मँहगा इतर ईसू क पैर मँ लगाए स अउर अपने बालन स ओकर पैर पोंछेस। समूचा घर महकइ लाग।

⁴Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,

⁴ओकरे चेलन मँ एक यहूदा इस्करियोती रहा, जउन ओका धोखा देइवाला रहा, उ कहेस,

⁵Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?

⁵“इ तरह क 300 चाँदी क सिक्कन मँ बेच के गरीबन क पइसा काहे नाहीं दीन्ह गवा?”

⁶This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

⁶ओका गरीबन क कउनो चिन्ता नाहीं रही, इ बरे उ अइसी बात नाहीं कहेस मुला उ खुदइ चोर रहा अउर रूपियन क थैली हमेसा ओकरे पास रहत रही। ओहमाँ जउन रुपिया डावा जात रहा, उ उहइ मँ स चोराइ लेत रहा।

⁷Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.

⁷तउ ईसू कहेस, “रहइ द्या। ओका छाँड़ि द्या। उ आज इ सब मोका गाड़े जाइ क तैइयारी क वास्ते करेस।

⁸For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.

⁸गरीब लोग तउ हमेसा तोहरे साथे रहिहीं मुला मइँ तोहरे साथे हमेसा न रहब।”

⁹Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

⁹फसह क त्यौहार प आए यहूदियन क तमाम भीड़ क जब पता चला कि ईसू बैतनिय्याह मँ अहइ तउ ओसे मिलइ चल दिहेस। उ भीड़ केवल ईसू स मिलइ क बरे नाहीं आइ रही, मुला लाजर क देखइ क बरे आइ रही। लाजर क मरइ क बाद ईसू फिन जीवित कइ दिहेस रहा।

¹⁰But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;

¹⁰इही बरे मुख्ययाजकन लाजर क भी मारइ क तरकीब सोचइ लागेन।

¹¹Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

¹¹काहेकि ओहि क कारण तमाम यहूदी जनता अपने अपने नेता क छोड़िके ईसू मँ बिसवास करइ लाग।

¹²On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

¹²दूसरे दिन फ़सह क त्यौहार प आई भीड़ जब इ सुनेस कि ईसू यरूसलेम आवत अहइ तउ

¹³Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

¹³लोग खजूर क टहनी लइके ओसे मिलइ चल पड़ेन। उ पचे गोहरावत रहेन, “होसन्ना! धन्य अहइ उ जउऩ पर्भू क नाउँ स आवत ह, उ जउन इस्त्राएल क राजा अहइ।” भजन संहिता 118:25-26

¹⁴And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,

¹⁴तब ईसू क एक गदहा मिला अउर उ ओकरे ऊपर चढ़ि लिहेस। जइसा कि पवित्तर सास्तर मँ लिखा अहइ:

¹⁵Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.

¹⁵“सिय्योन क पुत्री डेराअ जिन! देखा! तोहार राजा गदहे क बच्चा प बइठके आवत अहइ।” जकर्याह 9:9

¹⁶These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

¹⁶पहिला तउ ओकर चेलन ओकरे व्यवहार क नाहीं समझ पाएन्ह लेकिन जब ईसू क महिमा परगट भइ तउ समुझ पाएन कि सास्तर मँ ओकरे बारे मँ सब बात लिखी रहिन अउर तमाम मनई क ओकरे बार मँ अइसा बरताब रहा।

¹⁷The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

¹⁷ओकरे साथ जउन भीड़ रही, उ इ साच्छी दिहेस कि उ लाजर क कब्र स बोलाइके मरे स फिन जिआइ दिहेस।

¹⁸For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.

¹⁸तमाम लोग ओसे मिलइ क बरे इहइ बरे आइ रहेन काहेकि उ पचे सुने रहेन कि इ अद्भुत कारज करइवाला उहइ अहइ।

¹⁹The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.

¹⁹तउ फरीसी आपुस मँ कहइ लागेन, “सोचा तू सबेन्ह कछू नाहीं कइ पावत अहा अउर देखा पूरी दुनिया ओकरे पीछे पड़ गइ अहइ।”

²⁰And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:

²⁰फसह क त्यौहार प यरूसलेम मँ आराधना करइवालेन मँ कछू यूनानी रहेन।

²¹The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.

²¹उ सबेन्ह गलील मँ बैतसैदा क रहइवाले फिलिप्पुस क लगे गएन अउर ओसे विनती करत भए कहइ लागेन, “महासय, हम पचे ईसू क दर्सन करइ चाहत अही।” तउ फिलिप्पुस आइके अन्द्रियास स बाताएस।

²²Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

²²फिन अन्द्रियास अउर फिलिप्पुस ईसू क पास आइके कहेन।

²³And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

²³ईसू ओनका जवाब दिहेस, “मनई क पूत क महिमावान होइ क समइ आइ ग बाटइ।

²⁴Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

²⁴मइँ तोहसे सही सही बतावत अहउँ कि जब तलक गोहूँ क एक दाना जमीन प गिरके मर नाहीं जात, तब तक उ एकइ रहत ह, मुला जब उ मरि जात ह तउ अनगिनत दानन क पइदा करि देत ह।

²⁵He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

²⁵जेका आपन जिन्नगी पियारी अहइ उ ओका खोइ देइ, मुला जेका इ दुनिया मँ अपनी जिन्नगी स पिरेम नाहीं अहइ, उ ऍका अनन्त जीवन क वास्ते रखे रही।

²⁶If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

²⁶जदि कउनो मोरी सेवा करत ह तउ जरूर मोर पाछा करत ह अउर जहाँ मइँ अही, हुवाँ मोर सेवक भी रही। जब कउनो मोर सेवा करत ह तउ परमपिता ओकर सम्मान करी।

²⁷Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

²⁷“अब मोर जिअरा घबरात अहइ। मइँ का कहउँ, हे परमपिता, मोका दुःख क इ घड़ी स बचावा? मुला इहइ समइ क बरे तउ मइँ आइ अहउँ।

²⁸Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

²⁸हे परमपिता, अपने नाम क महिमा दूया!” तउ आकासवाणी भइ, “मइँ एकर महिमा किए अहउँ अउर मइँ फिन ऍकर महिमा करब।”

²⁹The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.

²⁹तउ हुवाँ मौजूद भीड़ जउन सुने रहेन, कहइ लाग कि कउनो बादर गरजा बाटइ। दूसर इ कहइ लागेन, “कउनो सरगदूत ओसे बतिआन ह।”

³⁰Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.

³⁰ऍकरे जवाब मँ ईसू कहेस, “इ आकासबाणी मोरे बरे नाहीं भइ, इ तोहरे बरे भइ रही।

³¹Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

³¹अब इ दुनिया क निआव क समइ आइ ग बाटइ। अब इ दुनिया क सासक (हियाँ प मतलब अहइ सइतान) क निकार दीन्ह जाई।

³²And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

³²अउर जब मइँ धरती क ऊपर उठाइ लीन्ह जाबइ तउ फिन सब लोगन क अपनी ओर खींचब।”

³³This he said, signifying what death he should die.

³³उ इ बतावइ क बरे अइसा कहत रहा कि उ कइसी मउत मरइ जात अहइ।

³⁴The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

³⁴इ सुनिके भीड़ ओका जवाब दिहेस, “हम पचे व्यवस्था क इ बात सुने अही कि मसीह हमेसा रही। इ बरे तू कइसे कहत अहा, ‘मनई क पूत क जरूर स ऊपर उठाइ लीन्ह जाई?’ इ ‘मनई क पूत कउन अहइ?”

³⁵Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

³⁵तउ ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तोहरे बीच मँ ज्योति अबे कछू समइ अउर रही। जब तक ज्योति अहइ, चलत रहा, जइसे कि अँधियारा (पाप) तोहका घेर न लेइ, काहेकि जउन मनई अँधेरे मँ चलत ह, उ इ नाहीं जानत कि कहाँ जात अहइ।

³⁶While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

³⁶जब तक ज्योति तोहरे लगे अहइ, ओहमाँ बिसवास बनाए रखा जइसे कि तू पचे ज्योति क सन्तान होइ सका।” ईसू इ कहिके कहूँ चला गवा अउर ओऩसे छिप गवा।

³⁷But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

³⁷ईसू ओनके सबके सामने तमाम अद्भुत कारजन परगट किहेस मुला उ पचे ओकरे मँ बिसवास नाहीं किएन्ह

³⁸That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

³⁸जइसे कि नबी यसायाह क कहब सही होइ सकइ, “पर्भू, मोरे संदेस प कउन बिसवास किहे अहइ?” काहेकि ऊपर पर्भू क ताकत केह पइ परगट भइ अहइ?” यसायाह 53:1

³⁹Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,

³⁹इहइ बरे उ सब बिसवास नाहीं कइ सकेन। काहेकि यसायाह फिन केह रहा,

⁴⁰He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

⁴⁰“उ ओनकइ आँखी आँधर अउर ओनकइ हिरदइ कठोर बनाएस जइसे, उ पचे अपनी आँखी स देख न सकइँ अउर बुद्धि स समझ न पावइँ अउर मोरी कइँती न मुड़इँ, जइसे कि मइँ ओऩका चंगा न कइ पाई।” यसायाह 6:10

⁴¹These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

⁴¹यसायाह अइसा इ बरे कहे रहा, काहेकि उ ओकर महिमा देखे रहा अउर ओकरे बारे मँ बतियान भी रहा।

⁴²Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

⁴²तबहूँ तमाम लोग अइसे रहेन, जेहिमाँ तमाम यहूदी नेतन रहेन जे ओहमाँ बिसवास किएन्ह। मुला फरीसियन क डर क मारे अपने बिस्वास क खुलासा नाहीं किएन्ह, नाहीं तउ ओनका सबेन्ह क पराथना क जगह स निकारि देइ क डर रहा।

⁴³For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

⁴³ओनका सबेन्ह क मनई क दीन्ह सम्मान परमेस्सर क दीन्ह सम्मान स जियादा अच्छा लागत रहा।

⁴⁴Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

⁴⁴ईसू बोलॉइके जोर स कहेस, “उ जउऩ मोरे मँ बिसवास करत ह, उ मोरे मँ नाहीं, बल्कि ओकरे मँ बिसवास करत ह जउन मोका भेजेस।

⁴⁵And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

⁴⁵अउर जउऩ मनई मोका देखत ह, उ ओका देखत ह जउऩ मोका भेजेस।

⁴⁶I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

⁴⁶मइँ दुनिया क रोसनी क तरीके स आवा जइसे कि जउऩ मनई मोरे मँ बिसवास करत ह, उ अँधिरे मँ न रहइ।

⁴⁷And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

⁴⁷“जदि कउऩे मनई मोरे बात सही सुनिके ओका नाहीं मानत तबहुँ मइँ ओका अपराधी ठहरावइ क बरे नाहीं आइ अही, मइँ तउ दुनिया क उद्धार क वास्ते आइ अही।

⁴⁸He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

⁴⁸जउन मनई मोका नाहीं मानत अउर हमरी बातन क नाहीं मानत, ओकरे बरे एक अहइ जउन ओकर निआव करी। उ उहइ अहइ, अपनी बातन स जेहिका मइँ उपदेस दीन्ह। आखिरी दिन उहइ ओकर निआव करी।

⁴⁹For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

⁴⁹काहेकि मइँ अपनी तरफ क कछू नाहीं कहे अही, मइँ परमपिता (परमेस्सर) क आदेस क पालन करत अही, जउन मोका भेजेस, उ मोका बताए अहइ कि मइँ का उपदेस देइ।

⁵⁰And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

⁵⁰अउर मइँ जानित ह कि ओकरे आदेस क मतलब अहइ अनन्त जीवन। इ बरे जउन मइँ बोलित हउँ, उहइ क ठीक उहइ अहइ जउन परमपिता मोसे कहे अहइ।”
