¹And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

²But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

²Apan ang mga Judio, nga dili matinohoon nanagsugyot ug nagpapait sa mga kalag sa mga Gentil batok sa mga igsoon.

³Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

³Busa nanagpadayon sila sa hataas nga panahon, nga nagasulti sa dakung kaisug tungod sa Ginoo, nga nagpamatuod sa pulong sa iyang gracia ug nagatugot nga pagabuhaton sa ilang mga kamot ang mga ilhanan ug mga katingalahan.

⁴But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

⁴Apan ang panon sa katawohan sa ciudad nabahin; ug ang uban mingdapig sa mga Judio ug ang uban sa mga apostoles.

⁵And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,

⁵Ug sa pagdam-ag sa mga Gentil ug sa mga Judio uban ang ilang mga punoan, sa pagpasipala ug sa pagbato kanila,

⁶They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:

⁶Hingsabtan kini nila ug nangalagiw sila padulong sa Listra ug sa Derbe, mga kalungsoran sa Licaonia, ug sa mga kayutaan nga naglibut.

⁷And there they preached the gospel.

⁷Ug didto gimantala nila ang Maayong Balita.

⁸And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:

⁸Ug sa Listra may nagalingkod nga usa ka tawo nga lulid ang mga tiil, piang gikan pa sa tiyan sa iyang inahan, nga wala gayud makalakaw.

⁹The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

⁹Nakadungog kini sa pagsulti ni Pablo; nga nagtutok kaniya, ug sa hingkit-an niya, nga adunay pagtoo nga pagaayohan siya,

¹⁰Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

¹⁰Nag-ingon sa makusog nga tingog: Tumindog ka pagtarung sa imong mga tiil. Ug miugpo siya, ug milakaw.

¹¹And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

¹¹Ug sa nakita sa mga panon sa katawohan ang gibuhat ni Pablo, misinggit sila nga nanag-ingon sa pinulongan nga Licaoniahanon: Ang mga dios sa dagway sa mga tawo, nanganaug kanato.

¹²And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.

¹²Ug ilang ginganlan si Bernabe nga Jupiter, ug si Pablo, Mercurio; kay siya mao ang pangulong magsusulti.

¹³Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.

¹³Unya ang sacerdote ni Jupiter, kansang templo didto sa atbang sa ciudad, nagdala ngadto sa mga pultahan ug mga vaca nga lake ug mga purongpurong ug buot unta siya maghalad uban sa mga panon sa katawohan.

¹⁴Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,

¹⁴Ug sa hindunggan kini sa mga apostoles nga si Bernabe ug si Pablo, gipanggisi nila ang ilang mga bisti ug misuot sila sa taliwala sa panon sa katawohan, nga nagasinggit,

¹⁵And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

¹⁵Ug nanag-ingon: Mga Ginoo, nganong nanagbuhat kamo niining mga butanga? Mga tawo man usab kami nga sa mao usab nga kinaiya ninyo, nga nagamantala kaninyo sa Maayong Balita, aron managbalik kamo gikan niining kabuangan, ngadto sa usa ka Dios nga buhi, nga nagbuhat sa langit ug sa yuta, ug sa dagat, ug sa tanang anaa kanila;

¹⁶Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.

¹⁶Nga sa mga miaging kaliwatan, gipasagdan niya ang tanang mga nasud sa paglakaw sa ilang kaugalingong mga dalan;

¹⁷Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

¹⁷Ug bisan pa niana wala siya magpasagad nga walay pagpamatuod sa iyang kaugalingon sa pagkaagi nga nagbuhat siya ug maayo, ug naghatag kaninyo ug ulan sa langit, ug panahon nga mabungaon, nga nagapuno sa inyong mga kasingkasing sa kalan-on ug sa kalipay.

¹⁸And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.

¹⁸Ug sa pag-ingon nila niining mga butanga, halus wala sila makahimo sa pagpugong sa mga panon sa katawohan sa dili paghalad kanila.

¹⁹And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

¹⁹Apan didto may miabut nga mga Judio sa Antioquia, ug sa Iconio; ug sa nadani nila ang mga panon sa katawohan, ilang gibato si Pablo ug giguyod siya sa gawas sa ciudad, nga gidahum nila nga patay na siya.

²⁰Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

²⁰Apan sa gilibutan siya sa mga tinon-an, mibangon siya ug misulod sa ciudad; ug sa pagkaugma milakaw siya uban kang Bernabe padulong sa Derbe.

²¹And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

²¹Ug sa nakamantala sila sa Maayong Balita didto niadtong ciudara, ug nakahimo ug daghang mga tinon-an, namalik sila sa Listra, ug sa Iconio, ug sa Antioquia;

²²Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

²²Nga nagpalig-on sa mga kalag sa mga tinon-an, sa pagtambag nga managpadayon sila sa pagtoo, ug nga pinaagi sa daghang mga kagul-anan, kinahanglan mosulod kita sa gingharian sa Dios.

²³And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

²³Ug sa nakapili sila alang kanila ug mga anciano sa tagsa ka iglesia, ug sa nakaampo sila uban ang pagpuasa, ilang gitugyan sila sa Ginoo nga ilang ginatohoan.

²⁴And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.

²⁴Ug milatas sila sa Pisidia, ug miabut sa Pamfilia.

²⁵And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:

²⁵Ug sa namantala nila ang pulong sa Dios sa Perge, nanlugsong sila ngadto sa Atalia.

²⁶And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.

²⁶Ug gikan didto mingsakay sila padulong sa Antioquia, diin gitugyan sila sa gracia sa Dios, alang sa bulohaton nga ilang nahuman.

²⁷And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

²⁷Ug unya sa nahiabut na sila, ug sa natigum nila ang iglesia, ilang gipanagsugilon ang tanang mga butang nga gibuhat sa Dios uban kanila, ug nga iyang giablihan ang pultahan sa pagtoo alang sa mga Gentil.

²⁸And there they abode long time with the disciples.

²⁸Ug nanagpadayon sila sulod sa hataas nga panahon uban sa mga tinon-an.
