¹And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

¹Ug nahitabo, sa misugod pagdaghan ang mga tawo sa ibabaw sa nawong sa yuta, ug may nangatawo kanila nga mga anak nga babaye,

²That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

²Nga sa pagkakita sa mga anak nga lalake sa Dios nga ang mga anak nga babaye sa mga tawo nga sila mga maanyag, nangasawa sila sa tanan nilang napili.

³And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

³Ug miingon si Jehova: Ang Akong Espiritu dili makiglalis sa gihapon sa tawo, kay siya unod; apan ang iyang mga adlaw magausa ka gatus ug kaluhaan ka tuig.

⁴There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

⁴Niadtong mga adlawa dihay mga higante sa yuta; ug sa human usab niini sa nahaduol ang mga anak nga lalake sa Dios sa mga anak nga babaye sa mga tawo, ug nanagpanganak sila; kini sila mao ang mga maisug nga tawo sa karaang panahon, ang mga tawo nga bantugan.

⁵And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

⁵Ug nakita ni Jehova ang pagkadautan sa tawo sa yuta daku, ug nga ang tanang pagpalandong sa mga hunahuna sa iyang kasingkasing lonlon mga kadautan lamang gihapon.

⁶And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

⁶Ug kini nakapabasul kang Jehova nga gibuhat niya ang tawo sa yuta, ug nakapasubo kini kaniya sa iyang kasingkasing.

⁷And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

⁷Ug miingon si Jehova: Pagalaglagon ko gikan sa nawong sa yuta ang tawo nga akong gibuhat; sukad sa tawo hangtud sa mga mananap ug hangtud sa mga butang nanagkamang sa yuta, ug sa mga langgam sa kalangitan; kay kini nakapabasul kanako nga gibuhat ko sila.

⁸But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

⁸Apan si Noe nakakaplag ug kahamuot sa mga mata ni Jehova.

⁹These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

⁹Kini mao ang mga kaliwatan ni Noe: si Noe maoy usa ka tawo nga matarung ug hingpit sa iyang mga kaliwatan. Si Noe nagalakaw uban sa Dios.

¹⁰And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

¹⁰Ug si Noe nanganak ug totolo ka mga anak nga lalake: Si Sem, si Cham ug si Japhet.

¹¹The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

¹¹Ug ang yuta dunot sa atubangan sa Dios, ug ang yuta napuno sa mga paglugos.

¹²And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

¹²Ug nakita sa Dios ang yuta, ug ania karon, kini nadunot; kay ang tanang unod nagdunot sa ilang dalan sa ibabaw sa yuta.

¹³And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

¹³Ug miingon ang Dios kang Noe: Ang katapusan sa tanan nga unod ania na sa atubangan nako, kay ang yuta napuno sa mga paglugos tungod kanila; ug ania karon pagalaglagon ko sila uban sa yuta.

¹⁴Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

¹⁴Magbuhat ka ug usa ka arca sa kahoy nga Gopher; magbuhat ka ug mga lawak sa sulod sa arca, ug pagabuliton mo ug salong ang sulod ug gawas.

¹⁵And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

¹⁵Ug buhaton mo kini sa ingon niini nga paagi: ang katas-on sa arca totolo ka gatus ka maniko; ang iyang kalapdon kalim-an ka maniko; ug ang iyang kahabugon, katloan ka maniko.

¹⁶A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

¹⁶Magbuhat ka ug usa ka gawang sa arca, ug humanon mo kini sa usa ka maniko ang kahabugon ngadto sa ibabaw; ug ibutang mo sa luyo ang pultahan sa arca, ug buhatan mo ug totolo ka hunta-hunta, nga may salog sa ilalum sa ikaduha ug ikatolong hunta.

¹⁷And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

¹⁷Ug ako, ania karon, ako magdala ug lunop sa mga tubig sa ibabaw sa yuta aron sa paglaglag sa tanan nga unod nga adunay gininhawa sa kinabuhi gikan sa ilalum sa langit; ang tanan nga anaa sa yuta mangamatay.

¹⁸But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.

¹⁸Apan pagabuhaton ko ang akong saad uban kanimo, ug magasulod ka sa arca, ikaw ug ang imong mga anak nga lalake, ug ang imong asawa ug ang mga asawa sa imong mga anak uban kanimo.

¹⁹And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

¹⁹Ug ang tanang butang nga may kinabuhi sa tanan nga unod, duruha sa tagsa ka dagway isulod mo sa arca, aron mangabuhi sila uban kanimo; kinahanglan sila nga mga lake ug mga baye.

²⁰Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

²⁰Sa mga langgam ingon sa ilang matang, ug sa mga vaca ingon sa ilang matang, sa tanang mga mananap nga nagakamang sa yuta ingon sa ilang matang. Duruha sa tagsa ka dagway magasulod uban kanimo aron mabuhi sila.

²¹And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

²¹Ug magdala ikaw uban kanimo sa tanan nga kalan-on nga ginakaon, ug tigumon mo kini diha kanimo. Ug kini mahimo nga kalan-on alang kanimo ug alang kanila.

²²Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

²²Ug kini gibuhat ni Noe. Gibuhat niya sumala sa tanan nga gisugo sa Dios kaniya.
