¹And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

¹Ug nahibato sa mao gihapong tuiga, sa sinugdan sa paghari ni Sedechias nga hari sa Juda, sa ikaupat ka tuig, ug sa ikalima ka bulan, nga si Hananias ang anak nga lalake ni Asur, ang manalagna nga Gabaonhon, misulti kanako didto sa balay ni Jehova, sa atubangan sa mga sacerdote ug sa tibook katawohan, nga nagaingon:

²Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

²Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova sa mga panon: Ang Dios sa Israel, nga nagaingon: Gibunggo ko na ang yugo sa hari sa Babilonia.

³Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:

³Sulod sa duruha ka tuig nga tangkod dad-on ko pag-usab nganhi niining dapita ang tanang mga sudlanan sa balay ni Jehova, nga gikuha ni Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia gikan niining dapita, ug gidala ngadto sa Babilonia:

⁴And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the LORD: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

⁴Ug dad-on ko pag-usab nganhi niining dapita si Jechonias ang anak nga lalake ni Joacim hari sa Juda, uban sa tanang mga binihag sa Juda, nga mingadto sa Babilonia, nagaingon si Jehova; kay akong bunggoon ang yugo sa hari sa Babilonia.

⁵Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD,

⁵Unya ang manalagna nga si Jeremias miingon sa manalagna nga si Hananias diha sa atubangan sa mga sacerdote, ug diha sa atubangan sa tibook katawohan nga nanagtindog sulod sa balay ni Jehova,

⁶Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD's house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.

⁶Bisan ang manalagna nga si Jeremias miingon: Amen: Buhaton unta kana ni Jehova; tumanon unta ni Jehova ang imong mga pulong nga imong gitagna, sa pagdala pag-usab sa mga sudlanan sa balay ni Jehova, ug silang tanan nga mga binihag, gikan sa Babilonia nganhi niining dapita.

⁷Nevertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people;

⁷Bisan pa niana pamation mo karon kining mga pulonga nga isulti ko sa imong ma igdulungog, ug sa mga igdulungog sa tibook katawohan:

⁸The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.

⁸Ang mga manalagna nga nanghiuna kanako ug naghiuna kanimo sa kanhing panahon, nanagtagna batok sa danghang kayutaan, ug batok sa dagkung mga gingharian, mahitungod sa gubat, ug mahitungod sa kadaut, ug mahitungod sa kamatay.

⁹The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him.

⁹Ang manalagna nga nagtagna mahitungod sa pakigdait, sa diha nga mahitabo ang pulong sa manalagna, unya ang manalagna hiilhan, nga si Jehova sa pagkamatuod nagpadala kaniya.

¹⁰Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it.

¹⁰Unya si Hananias ang manalagna mikuha sa yugo gikan sa liog sa manalagna nga si Jeremias, ug gibunggo kini.

¹¹And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

¹¹ug si Hananias misulti sa atubangan sa tibook katawohan sa pag-ingon: Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Sa ingon niini bunggoon ko ang yugo ni Nabucodonosor nga sa Babilonia gikan sa liog sa tanang mga nasud sulod sa duruha ka tuig nga tangkod. Ug ang manalagna nga si Jeremias nagpadayon sa iyang paglakaw.

¹²Then the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

¹²Unya ang pulong ni Jehova midangat kang Jeremias, ang manalagna, sa human bunggoa ni Hananias nga manalagna ang yugo gikan sa liog ni Jeremias nga manalagna, sa pag-ingon:

¹³Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.

¹³Lakaw, ug suginli si Hananias sa pag-ingon: Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Gibunggo mo ang yugo nga kahoy; apan magabuhat ka ug ilis kanila nga mga yugo nga puthaw.

¹⁴For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.

¹⁴Kay nagaingon si Jehova sa mga panon, ang Dios sa Israel: Ako nagbutang ug usa ka yugo nga puthaw ibabaw sa liog niining tanang mga nasud, aron sila manag-alagad kang Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia; ug sila manag-alagad kaniya, ug gihatag ko usab kaniya ang mga mananap sa kapatagan.

¹⁵Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

¹⁵Unya miingon ang manalagna nga si Jeremias kang Hananias nga manalagna: Pamati karon, Hananias: Si Jehova wala magpadala kanimo; apan kining katawohan gipasalig mo sa bakak.

¹⁶Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD.

¹⁶Busa nagainong si Jehova niana: Ania karon, hinginlan ko ikaw gikan sa nawong sa yuta: niining tuiga mamatay ka, tungod kay nagtudlo ka ug pagsukol batok kang Jehova.

¹⁷So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

¹⁷Tungod niini si Hananias nga manalagna namatay sa maong tuig sa ikapito ka bulan.
