1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1ϯϯϩⲟ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⳿ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲉⲙⲓ ϩⲁⲛϣⲉⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
2For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
2⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϭⲟⲥⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ⲉϥϩⲟⲩⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲣⲉⲙⲣⲁⲩϣ ϧⲉⲛ ⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲙⲉⲧⲥⲉⲙⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
3ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ϥϣⲏⲡ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ.
4Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
4ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ.
5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
5ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲫϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲉⲥⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅.
6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
6ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲏⲓϥ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϯ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲥⲏⲟⲩ.
7Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
7ⲫⲁⲓ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲭⲁⲧ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛⲣⲉϥϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲡⲉϯϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛϯ ϫⲉⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲫⲣⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ.
8I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
8ϯⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲧⲱⲃϩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲙⲁⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲩϥⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡϣⲱⲓ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲭⲱⲣⲓⲥ ϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ.
9In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
9ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲓϩⲓ⳿ⲟⲙⲓ ⲉⲩϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲥⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲥⲟⲣϥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧ⳿ϫⲫⲓⲏϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲗⲥⲉⲗ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛϩⲱⲗⲕ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲁⲛⲁⲙⲏⲓ ⲓⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲓ⳿ϩⲃⲱⲥ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁϣⲉⲛⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛϥ.
10But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
10ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲧ⳿ϩⲣⲁⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓϩⲓ⳿ⲟⲙⲓ ϭⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲩⲱϣ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲑⲉⲟⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ.
11Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
11ⲟⲩ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲥϭⲓ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉⲙⲣⲁⲩϣ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϭⲛⲉϫⲱϥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
12ϯⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲥⲉⲣϫⲱϫ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲥ ϭⲓ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉⲙⲣⲁⲩϣ.
13For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
13ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲩⲉⲣ⳿ⲡⲗⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⳿ⲓⲧⲁ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲁ.
14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
14ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩ⳿ϣⲉⲣϩⲁⲗ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϯ⳿ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲣϩⲁⲗ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲁⲥⲓⲥ.
15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
