¹Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

¹ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϣⲫⲏ ⲣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲑⲱϩⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲧⲫⲉ ⲙⲁⲓⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏ ⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲏⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅.

²Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

²ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲟⲧ ⳿ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟϥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ϩⲱϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱ⳿ⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ.

³For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.

³ⲁ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡϣⲁ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲱ⳿ⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟϥ.

⁴For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.

⁴ⲏⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉϣⲁⲩⲥⲉⲃⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓ⳿ⲉ ⲉⲛⲭⲁⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲫϯ ⲡⲉ.

⁵And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

⁵ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲱ⳿ⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲙⲉⲛ ⳿ϥⲉⲛϩⲟⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲧⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ.

⁶But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

⁶Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲉⲧⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲛϣⲁⲛ⳿ⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯ ϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲉϥⲧⲁϫⲣⲏⲟⲩⲧ ϣⲁ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.

⁷Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

⁷ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲫⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲁⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ.

⁸Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

⁸⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣϯ⳿ⲛϣⲱⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲡⲓⲣⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ϩⲓ ⳿ⲡϣⲁϥⲉ.

⁹When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

⁹ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲣⲡⲓⲣⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓⲟϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲱⲛⲧ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ.

¹⁰Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

¹⁰⳿ⲛⲙ̅ ⳿ⲛⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲓⲙⲉⲥⲧⲉ ⲡⲓϫⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲥⲱⲣⲉⲙ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲛⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲙⲱⲓⲧ.

¹¹So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

¹¹⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲓⲱⲣⲕ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁϫⲱⲛⲧ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϣⲉ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲡⲁⲙⲁ ⳿ⲛⲉⲙⲧⲟⲛ.

¹²Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

¹²⳿ⲁⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲙⲏⲡⲟⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ ⲉϥϩⲱⲟⲩ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲑⲛⲁϩϯ ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⲫϯ ⲉⲧⲟⲛϧ.

¹³But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

¹³ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲁⲛⲟⲙϯ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲏⲛⲓ ϣⲁ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲛϣⲱⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲡⲁⲧⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲫⲛⲟⲃⲓ.

¹⁴For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

¹⁴ⲁⲛⲉⲣ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⳿ⲉⲠⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲛϣⲁⲛ⳿ⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲧⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⳿ⲛϯϩⲩⲡⲟⲥⲧⲁⲥⲓⲥ ϣⲁ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲥⲧⲁϫⲣⲏⲟⲩⲧ.

¹⁵While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

¹⁵ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡϫⲓⲛϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲫⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲁⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣϯⲉⲛϣⲱⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓϫⲱⲛⲧ.

¹⁶For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

¹⁶ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲁⲩϯ ϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲭⲏⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲙⲱ⳿ⲩⲥⲏⲥ.

¹⁷But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

¹⁷ⲛⲓⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁϥ⳿ϩⲣⲟϣ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲙ̅ ⳿ⲛⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ ⲙⲏ ⲛⲏ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲉⲗⲓ ϩⲉⲓ ϩⲓ ⳿ⲡϣⲁϥⲉ.

¹⁸And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

¹⁸ⲛⲓⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲱⲣⲕ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉϥⲙⲁ ⳿ⲛⲉⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲙⲏ ⲛⲏ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ.

¹⁹So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

¹⁹ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩ⳿ϣϫⲉⲙϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲧⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲑⲛⲁϩϯ
