1Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

2Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
2ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛϭⲓⲱⲙⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩ ⲭⲁϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲁⲛⲁⲥⲧⲁⲥⲓⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲣⲉϥⲙⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲕⲣⲓⲥⲓⲥ ⳿ⲛⲉⲛⲉϩ.
3And this will we do, if God permit.
3ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲉⲁⲓϥ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ Ⲡ⳪ ⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ.
4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
4ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲧϫⲟⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩϭ ⲓ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ ⳿ⲉⲁⲩϫⲉⲙϯⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲇⲱⲣⲉⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲧⲫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲉⲣ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ.
5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
5ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϫⲉⲙϯⲡⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ.
6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
6ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉϩⲉⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲉⲣⲃⲉⲣⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲛⲟⲓⲁ ⲉⲩⲓϣⲓ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲕⲉⲥⲟⲡ ⲥⲉ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲥⲣⲁϩ.
7For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
7ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲥⲱ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲙⲟⲩⲛϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲛⲏ ⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱϥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲉϥⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲓⲙ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲓⲉⲫⲟⲩⲱⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧⲟⲩ ϣⲁϥϭⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ.
8But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
8ⲁϥϣⲁⲛ⳿ⲓⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛϣⲟⲛϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲟⲩⲣⲓ ⲟⲩⲁⲧϣⲁⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ϥϧⲉⲛⲧ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡⲥⲁϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉϥϧⲁ⳿ⲉ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲕϩϥ.
9But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
9ⲡⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲑⲏⲧ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲙⲉⲛⲣⲁϯ ϧⲁ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲡ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϧⲉⲛⲧ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣ⳿ⲡⲕⲉⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ.
10For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
10⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲉϥϭⲓ⳿ⲛϫⲟⲛⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲫϯ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲉⲣ⳿ⲡⲱⲃϣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲡϧⲓⲥⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲑⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛϩⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⲟⲛ.
11And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
11ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲓ⳿ⲥⲡⲟⲩⲇⲏ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲓϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ϣⲁ ϧⲁ⳿ⲉ.
12That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
12ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲱⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲣ⳿ⲕⲗⲏ ⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲛ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ.
13For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
13ⲉⲧⲁ ⲫϯ ⲱϣ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲛⲁⲃⲣⲁⲁⲙ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲇⲏ ⲛⲉ ⳿ⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲉϥϭⲟⲥⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲑⲣⲉϥⲱⲣⲕ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁϥⲱⲣⲕ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ.
14Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
14ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲩ ϯⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲁϣⲁⲓ ϯⲛⲁ⳿ⲑⲣⲉ ⲡⲉⲕ⳿ϫⲣⲟϫ ⳿ⲁϣⲁⲓ.
15And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
15ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲁ ⲧⲟⲧϥ ϣⲁϣⲛⲓ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲱϣ.
16For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
16ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ϣⲁⲩⲱⲣⲕ ⲛⲁϩⲣⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲡϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲛⲁⲛⲧⲓⲗⲟⲅⲓⲁ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲛⲁϣ.
17Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
17⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲇⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲫϯ ⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲙⲉ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲱϣ ⳿ⲉϯⲙⲉⲧⲁⲧⲟⲩⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲥⲟϭⲛⲓ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲙⲉⲥⲓⲧⲏ ⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲛⲁϣ.
18That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
18ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲃ̅ ⳿ⲛⲁⲑⲟⲩⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ϫⲉ ⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲭⲱ ⲛⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲙϯ ⲉⲥϫⲟⲣ ϧⲁ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩⲫⲱⲧ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛϯϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲭⲏ ⲛⲁϩⲣⲁⲛ.
19Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
19ⲑⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲁⲩϫⲁⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲉϥⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧϣⲟϥⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲧⲁϫⲣⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲛⲁ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲁ ⲛⲉⲧⲥⲁϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲁⲧⲁⲡⲉⲧⲁⲥⲙⲁ.
20Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
