¹But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

¹⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲥⲁⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϯ ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲟϫ.

²That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

²ⲛⲓϧⲉⲗⲗⲟⲓ ⲉⲑⲣⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲩⲣⲏⲥ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲛⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟϫ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ϧⲉⲛ ϯϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ.

³The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

³ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲓϧⲉⲗⲗⲱ ⲉⲑⲣⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲉⲙⲛⲓ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡϣⲁ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⳿ⲉϩⲁⲛⲇⲓ⳿ⲁⲃⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲟⲓ ⳿ⲙⲃⲱⲕ ⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲏⲣⲡ ⲉⲩⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲣⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ.

⁴That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

⁴ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓ⳿ⲁⲗⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϩⲓ⳿ⲟⲙⲓ ⳿ⲉⲉⲣⲙⲁⲓϩⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲓϣⲏⲣⲓ.

⁵To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

⁵⳿ⲛⲥⲁⲃⲏ ⲉⲩⲧⲟⲩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲛⲓⲣⲉϥⲥⲉϩⲛⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲁⲅⲁⲑⲏ ⲉⲩϭⲛⲟ ⳿ⲛϫⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩϩⲁⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉϫⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲛ.

⁶Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

⁶ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲓϧⲉⲗϣ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⲙⲁⲛⲟⲙϯ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲣⲟⲩⲉⲣⲥⲁⲃⲉ.

⁷In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

⁷ⲉⲕ⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⳿ⲛⲧⲩⲡⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥϯ ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲁⲧⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲛⲟⲥ.

⁸Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

⁸ⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲟϫ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧⲉⲣⲕⲁⲧⲁⲅⲓⲛⲱⲥⲕⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϭⲓϣⲓⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧϯ ⲟⲩⲃⲏⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛⲧⲉϥ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉϫⲱϥ ϧⲁⲣⲟⲛ.

⁹Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;

⁹ⲛⲓⲉⲃⲓⲁⲓⲕ ⲉⲑⲣⲟⲩϭⲛⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩϭⲓⲥⲉⲩ ⲉⲩⲣⲁⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.

¹⁰Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

¹⁰⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲣⲉϥϭⲓⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲥⲉⲗⲥⲱⲗⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.

¹¹For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

¹¹⳿ⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.

¹²Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

¹²ⲉϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲉⲁⲛϫⲉⲗ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏ ⲥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲁ ⳿ⲛⲕⲟⲥⲙⲓⲕⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲱⲛϧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲓⲉⲛⲉϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲛⲟⲩ.

¹³Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

¹³ⲧⲉⲛϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲁϫⲱⲥ ⳿ⲛϯⲛⲁⲓⲁⲧⲥ ⳿ⲛϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲫⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲡⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲡⲓⲛⲓϣϯ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ.

¹⁴Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

¹⁴ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲏⲓϥ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲛ ϣⲁⲧⲉϥⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲙⲓ⳿ⲁ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟⲛ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲩⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉϥ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲛⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲣⲉϥⲭⲟϩ ⳿ⲉϩⲁⲛ⳿ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ.

¹⁵These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
