1Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under curtains.
1 Wedi i Ddafydd fynd i fyw i'w du375? ei hun, dywedodd wrth y proffwyd Nathan, "Edrych yn awr, yr wyf fi'n byw mewn tu375? o gedrwydd, tra bo arch cyfamod yr ARGLWYDD mewn pabell."
2Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in thine heart; for God is with thee.
2 Ac meddai Nathan wrth Ddafydd, "Dos, a gwna bopeth sydd yn dy galon, oherwydd y mae Duw gyda thi."
3And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
3 Ond y noson honno daeth gair Duw at Nathan, gan ddweud,
4Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in:
4 "Dos, dywed wrth fy ngwas Dafydd, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: Ni chei di adeiladu i mi du375? i breswylio ynddo.
5For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.
5 Yn wir, nid wyf wedi preswylio mewn tu375? o'r diwrnod y dygais Israel allan o'r Aifft hyd heddiw; yr oeddwn yn mynd o babell i babell ac o un tabernacl i'r llall.
6Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?
6 Ple bynnag y bm yn teithio gyda holl Israel, a fu imi yngan gair wrth unrhyw un o farnwyr Israel, a benodais i fugeilio fy mhobl, a gofyn, "Pam na fyddech wedi adeiladu tu375? o gedrwydd i mi?"'
7Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:
7 Felly dywed wrth fy ngwas Dafydd, 'Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: Myfi a'th gymerodd di o'r maes, o ganlyn defaid, i fod yn arweinydd i'm pobl Israel.
8And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
8 Yr oeddwn gyda thi ple bynnag yr aethost, a dinistriais dy holl elynion o'th flaen, a gwneud iti enw mawr fel eiddo'r mawrion a fu ar y ddaear.
9Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
9 Ac yr wyf am baratoi lle i'm pobl Israel, a'u plannu, iddynt gael ymsefydlu yno heb eu tarfu rhagor; ac ni fydd treiswyr yn eu cystuddio eto, fel yn yr adeg gynt,
10And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house.
10 pan benodais farnwyr dros fy mhobl Israel; darostyngaf dy holl elynion. Yr wyf yn dy hysbysu mai yr ARGLWYDD fydd yn adeiladu tu375? i ti.
11And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
11 Pan ddaw dy ddyddiau i ben, ac yn amser iti farw, codaf blentyn iti ar dy l, un yn hanu o'th feibion, a gwnaf ei deyrnas yn gadarn.
12He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.
12 Ef fydd yn adeiladu tu375? i mi, a gwnaf finnau ei orsedd yn gadarn am byth.
13I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee:
13 Byddaf fi'n dad iddo ef, a bydd yntau'n fab i mi, ac ni chymeraf fy nhrugaredd oddi wrtho, fel y cymerais hi oddi wrth yr un oedd o'th flaen di.
14But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.
14 Gosodaf ef yn fy nhu375? ac yn fy nheyrnas am byth; erys ei orsedd yn gadarn hyd byth.'"
15According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
15 Dywedodd Nathan wrth Ddafydd y cwbl a ddywedwyd ac a ddangoswyd iddo ef.
16And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
16 Yna fe aeth y Brenin Dafydd i mewn ac eistedd o flaen yr ARGLWYDD a dweud, "Pwy wyf fi, O Arglwydd DDUW, a phwy yw fy nheulu, dy fod wedi dod mi hyd yma?
17And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
17 Ac fel pe byddai hyn eto'n beth bychan yn d'olwg, O Dduw, yr wyt hefyd wedi llefaru ynglu375?n theulu dy was ar gyfer y dyfodol pell, a'm hystyried i'n llinach o ddynion dyrchafedig, O Arglwydd DDUW.
18What can David speak more to thee for the honor of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.
18 Beth rhagor y medraf fi, Dafydd, ei ddweud wrthyt am anrhydeddu dy was, a thithau yn ei adnabod?
19O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
19 O ARGLWYDD, er mwyn dy was, ac yn l dy ewyllys dy hun, y gwnaethost yr holl fawredd hwn a hysbysu'r holl fawrion bethau.
20O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
20 O ARGLWYDD, ni chlywodd ein clustiau am neb tebyg i ti, nac am un duw ar wahn i ti. Pa genedl arall ar y ddaear sydd fel dy bobl Israel?
21And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?
21 Rhyddhaodd Duw hi i fod yn bobl iddo'i hun ac i ennill bri, a gwneud pethau mawr ac ofnadwy trwy fwrw allan genhedloedd o flaen dy bobl, y rhai a brynaist o'r Aifft.
22For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.
22 Gwnaethost dy bobl Israel i fod yn bobl i ti hyd byth; a daethost tithau, O ARGLWYDD, yn Dduw iddynt hwy.
23Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.
23 Yn awr, O ARGLWYDD, bydded i'r addewid a wnaethost ynglu375?n 'th was a'i deulu sefyll am byth, a gwna fel y dywedaist.
24Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee.
24 Bydded iddi sefyll fel y mawrheir dy enw hyd byth, ac y dywedir, 'ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, Duw Israel, sydd Dduw ar Israel'; a bydd tu375? dy was Dafydd yn sicr ger dy fron.
25For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee.
25 Am i ti, O fy Nuw, ddatgelu i'th was y byddit yn adeiladu tu375? iddo, fe fentrodd dy was weddo arnat.
26And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:
26 Yn awr, O ARGLWYDD, ti sydd Dduw, ac fe addewaist ti y daioni hwn i'th was.
27Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.
27 Felly'n awr, gwl yn dda fendithio tu375? dy was, fel y caiff barhau am byth yn dy u373?ydd; am i ti, ARGLWYDD, ei fendithio, bendigedig fydd hyd byth."
