1Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.
1 Yna cynullodd y Brenin Solomon henuriaid Israel a holl benaethiaid y llwythau a phennau-teuluoedd Israel ato'i hun yn Jerwsalem, i gyrchu arch cyfamod yr ARGLWYDD o Ddinas Dafydd, sef Seion.
2And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
2 Daeth yr holl Israeliaid ynghyd at y Brenin Solomon ar yr u373?yl ym mis Ethanim, y seithfed mis.
3And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
3 Wedi i holl henuriaid Israel gyrraedd, cododd yr offeiriaid yr arch,
4And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.
4 a chyrchodd yr offeiriaid a'r Lefiaid arch yr ARGLWYDD a phabell y cyfarfod a'r holl lestri cysegredig oedd yn y babell.
5And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
5 Ac yr oedd y Brenin Solomon, a phawb o gynulleidfa Israel oedd wedi ymgynnull ato, yno o flaen yr arch yn aberthu defaid a gwartheg rhy niferus i'w rhifo na'u cyfrif.
6And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim.
6 Felly y dygodd yr offeiriaid arch cyfamod yr ARGLWYDD a'i gosod yn ei lle yng nghysegr mewnol y tu375?, y cysegr sancteiddiaf, dan adenydd y cerwbiaid,
7For the cherubim spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
7 oherwydd yr oedd y cerwbiaid yn estyn eu hadenydd dros le'r arch ac yn cysgodi dros yr arch a'i pholion.
8And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.
8 Yr oedd y polion yn ymestyn allan oddi wrth yr arch, fel y gellid gweld eu blaenau o'r cysegr o flaen y cysegr mewnol, ond nid oeddent i'w gweld o'r tu allan. Ac yno y maent hyd y dydd hwn.
9There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
9 Nid oedd yn yr arch ond y ddwy lech garreg a osododd Moses ynddi yn Horeb, lle y gwnaeth yr ARGLWYDD gyfamod 'r Israeliaid pan oeddent yn dod allan o'r Aifft.
10And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
10 Fel yr oedd yr offeiriaid yn dod allan o'r cysegr, llanwyd tu375?'r ARGLWYDD gan y cwmwl; ni fedrai'r offeiriaid barhau i weinyddu o achos y cwmwl;
11So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
11 yr oedd gogoniant yr ARGLWYDD yn llenwi tu375?'r ARGLWYDD.
12Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
12 Yna dywedodd Solomon: "Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD y trigai yn y tywyllwch.
13I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
13 Gorffennais adeiladu i ti du375? aruchel, lle iti breswylio ynddo dros byth."
14And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)
14 Yna tra oeddent i gyd yn sefyll, trodd y brenin atynt a bendithio holl gynulleidfa Israel.
15And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
15 Dywedodd, "Bendigedig fyddo ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel, a gyflawnodd 'i law yr hyn a addawodd 'i enau i'm tad Dafydd, pan ddywedodd,
16Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
16 'Er y dydd y dygais fy mhobl Israel allan o'r Aifft, ni ddewisais ddinas ymhlith holl lwythau Israel i adeiladu ynddi du375? i'm henw fod yno; ond dewisais Jerwsalem i'm henw fod yno, a dewisais Ddafydd i fod yn ben ar fy mhobl Israel.'
17And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
17 Yr oedd ym mryd fy nhad Dafydd adeiladu tu375? i enw ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel,
18And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.
18 ond dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrtho, 'Yr oedd yn dy fryd adeiladu tu375? i'm henw, a da oedd dy fwriad,
19Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.
19 ond nid tydi fydd yn adeiladu'r tu375?; dy fab, a enir iti, a adeilada'r tu375? i'm henw.'
20And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
20 Yn awr y mae'r ARGLWYDD wedi gwireddu'r addewid a wnaeth; yr wyf fi wedi dod i le fy nhad Dafydd i eistedd ar orsedd Israel, fel yr addawodd yr ARGLWYDD, ac wedi adeiladu'r tu375? i enw ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel.
21And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
21 Yr wyf hefyd wedi trefnu lle i'r arch sy'n cynnwys y cyfamod a wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD 'n hynafiaid pan ddaeth hwy allan o'r Aifft."
22And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:
22 Yna safodd Solomon o flaen allor yr ARGLWYDD, yng ngu373?ydd holl gynulleidfa Israel, ac estynnodd ei ddwylo tua'r nef,
23And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:
23 a dweud: "O ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel, nid oes Duw fel tydi yn y nef uwchben nac ar ddaear lawr, yn cadw cyfamod ac yn ffyddlon i'th bobl sy'n dy wasanaethu 'u holl galon.
24Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
24 Canys cedwaist d'addewid i'th was Dafydd, fy nhad; heddiw cyflawnaist 'th law yr hyn a addewaist 'th enau.
25Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
25 Yn awr, felly, O ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel, cadw'r addewid a wnaethost i'th was Dafydd fy nhad, pan ddywedaist, 'Gofalaf na fyddi heb etifedd i eistedd ar orsedd Israel, dim ond i'th blant wylio'u ffordd, a'm gwasanaethu fel y gwnaethost ti.'
26And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.
26 Yn awr, felly, O Dduw Israel, safed y gair a leferaist wrth dy was Dafydd, fy nhad.
27But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?
27 "Ai gwir yw y preswylia Duw ar y ddaear? Wele, ni all y nefoedd na nef y nefoedd dy gynnwys; pa faint llai y tu375? hwn a godais!
28Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:
28 Eto cymer sylw o weddi dy was ac o'i ddeisyfiad, O ARGLWYDD fy Nuw; gwrando ar fy llef, a'r weddi y mae dy was yn ei gweddo heddiw ger dy fron.
29That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.
29 Bydded dy lygaid, nos a dydd, ar y tu375? y dywedaist amdano, 'Fy enw a fydd yno', a gwrando'r weddi y bydd dy was yn ei gweddo tua'r lle hwn.
30And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.
30 Gwrando hefyd ar ddeisyfiad dy was a'th bobl Israel pan fyddant yn gweddo tua'r lle hwn. Gwrando yn y nef, lle'r wyt yn preswylio, ac o glywed, maddau.
31If any man trespass against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:
31 "Os bydd rhywun wedi troseddu yn erbyn rhywun arall ac yn gorfod cymryd llw, a'i dyngu gerbron dy allor yn y tu375? hwn,
32Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
32 gwrando di o'r nef a gweithredu. Gweinydda farn i'th bobl drwy gondemnio'r drwgweithredwr yn l ei ymddygiad, ond llwydda achos y cyfiawn yn l ei gyfiawnder.
33When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:
33 "Os trechir dy bobl Israel gan y gelyn am iddynt bechu yn dy erbyn, ac yna iddynt edifarhau a chyffesu dy enw, a gweddo ac erfyn arnat yn y tu375? hwn,
34Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.
34 gwrando di yn y nef a maddau bechod dy bobl Israel ac adfer hwy i'r tir a roddaist i'w hynafiaid.
35When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:
35 "Os bydd y nefoedd wedi cau, a'r glaw yn pallu, am iddynt bechu yn d'erbyn, ac yna iddynt weddo tua'r lle hwn a chyffesu dy enw ac edifarhau am eu pechod oherwydd i ti eu cosbi,
36Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.
36 gwrando di yn y nef a maddau bechod dy weision a'th bobl Israel, a dysg iddynt y ffordd dda y dylent ei rhodio; ac anfon law ar dy wlad, a roddaist yn etifeddiaeth i'th bobl.
37If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpillar; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;
37 "Os bydd yn y wlad newyn, haint, deifiad, malltod, locustiaid neu lindys, neu os bydd gelyn yn gwarchae ar unrhyw un o'i dinasoedd beth bynnag fo'r pla neu'r clefyd
38What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:
38 clyw bob gweddi, pob deisyfiad gan bawb o'th bobl Israel wrth i bob un sy'n ym-wybodol o'i glwy ei hun estyn ei ddwylo tua'r tu375? hwn;
39Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)
39 gwrando hefyd yn y nef lle'r wyt yn preswylio, a maddau. Gweithreda a rho i bob un yn l ei ffyrdd, oherwydd yr wyt ti'n deall ei fwriad; canys ti yn unig sy'n adnabod calon pob un;
40That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.
40 felly byddant yn dy ofni holl ddyddiau eu bywyd ar wyneb y tir a roddaist i'n hynafiaid.
41Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake;
41 "Os daw rhywun dieithr, nad yw'n un o'th bobl Israel, o wlad bell er mwyn dy enw
42(For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;
42 canys clywant am dy enw mawr, ac am dy law gref a'th fraich estynedig ac os gwedda tua'r tu375? hwn,
43Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.
43 gwrando di yn y nef lle'r wyt yn preswylio, a gweithreda yn l y cwbl y mae'r dieithryn yn ei ddeisyf arnat, er mwyn i holl bobloedd y byd adnabod dy enw a'th ofni yr un fath 'th bobl Israel, a sylweddoli mai ar dy enw di y gelwir y tu375? hwn a adeiledais i.
44If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:
44 "Os bydd dy bobl yn mynd i ryfela 'u gelyn, pa ffordd bynnag yr anfoni hwy, ac yna iddynt weddo ar yr ARGLWYDD tua'r ddinas a ddewisaist, a'r tu375? a godais i'th enw,
45Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
45 gwrando di yn y nef ar eu gweddi a'u hymbil, a chynnal eu hachos.
46If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;
46 "Os pechant yn dy erbyn oherwydd nid oes neb nad yw'n pechu a thithau'n digio wrthynt ac yn eu darostwng i'w gelynion a'u caethgludo i wlad y gelyn, boed bell neu agos,
47Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;
47 ac yna iddynt ystyried yn y wlad lle caethgludwyd hwy, ac edifarhau a deisyf arnat o wlad eu caethiwed 'r geiriau, 'Yr ydym wedi pechu a throseddu a gwneud drygioni',
48And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:
48 ac yna dychwelyd atat 'u holl galon a'u holl enaid yng ngwlad y gelynion sydd wedi eu caethgludo, a gweddo arnat i gyfeiriad eu gwlad, a roddaist i'w hynafiaid, a'r ddinas a ddewisaist, a'r tu375? a godais i'th enw,
49Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause,
49 gwrando di, yn y nef lle'r wyt yn preswylio, ar eu gweddi a'u deisyfiad, a chynnal eu hachos.
50And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:
50 A maddau i'th bobl a bechodd yn d'erbyn am eu holl droseddu yn d'erbyn; rho iddynt ennyn trugaredd yng nghalon y rhai a'u caethgludodd.
51For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:
51 Oherwydd dy bobl a'th etifeddiaeth ydynt, gan mai ti a ddaeth hwy allan o'r Aifft o ganol y ffwrnais haearn.
52That thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee.
52 Felly bydded dy lygaid yn sylwi ar ddeisyfiad dy was a'th bobl Israel, i wrando arnynt bob tro y galwant arnat;
53For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O LORD God.
53 oherwydd ti sydd wedi eu neilltuo yn etifeddiaeth i ti dy hun a'u didoli oddi wrth bobloedd y byd, fel y dywedaist, O Arglwydd DDUW, drwy dy was Moses pan ddaethost 'n hynafiaid allan o'r Aifft."
54And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
54 Wedi i Solomon orffen cyflwyno i'r ARGLWYDD yr holl weddi ac ymbil yma a'i ddwylo yn ymestyn tua'r nef, cododd o benlinio gerbron allor yr ARGLWYDD,
55And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,
55 a sefyll i fendithio holl gynulleidfa Israel llais uchel, a dweud:
56Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.
56 "Bendigedig fyddo'r ARGLWYDD a roddodd orffwystra i'w bobl Israel yn hollol fel y dywedodd. Ni fethodd yr un gair o'i holl addewid ddaionus a fynegodd trwy ei was Moses.
57The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:
57 Bydded yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw gyda ni fel y bu gyda'n hynafiaid ni; na fydded iddo'n gwrthod na'n gadael.
58That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.
58 Bydded inni droi ein calonnau tuag ato, a cherdded yn ei holl ffyrdd a chadw ei orchmynion, ei ordinhadau a'i farnedigaethau, a orchmynnodd i'n hynafiaid.
59And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:
59 Bydded fy ngeiriau hyn, a weddais gerbron yr ARGLWYDD, yn agos at yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw ddydd a nos, fel y bo iddo gynnal achos ei was ac achos ei bobl Israel yn l yr angen,
60That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.
60 er mwyn i holl bobloedd y byd wybod mai'r ARGLWYDD sydd Dduw ac nad oes arall.
61Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
61 Bydded eich calon yn llwyr ymroddedig i'r ARGLWYDD ein Duw, i rodio yn ei ordinhadau a chadw ei orchmynion fel heddiw."
62And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD.
62 Yna bu'r brenin, a holl Israel gydag ef, yn aberthu gerbron yr ARGLWYDD.
63And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.
63 Aberthodd Solomon i'r ARGLWYDD ddwy fil ar hugain o wartheg a chwe ugain mil o ddefaid yn heddoffrwm. Felly y cysegrodd y brenin a'r holl Israeliaid du375?'r ARGLWYDD.
64The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brazen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.
64 Ar y diwrnod hwnnw cysegrodd y brenin ganol y cwrt oedd o flaen tu375?'r ARGLWYDD, gan mai yno'r oedd yn offrymu'r poethoffrwm a'r bwydoffrwm a braster yr heddoffrwm, am fod yr allor bres oedd gerbron yr ARGLWYDD yn rhy fach i dderbyn y poethoffrwm a'r bwydoffrwm a braster yr heddoffrwm.
65And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.
65 A'r pryd hwnnw cadwodd Solomon, a holl Israel gydag ef, u373?yl gerbron yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw am wythnos, yn gynulliad mawr, o Lebo-hamath hyd nant yr Aifft.
66On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.
66 Ar yr wythfed dydd gollyngodd y bobl ymaith, ac wedi iddynt fendithio'r brenin, aethant adref yn llawen ac yn falch o galon am yr holl ddaioni a wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD i'w was Dafydd ac i'w bobl Israel.
