1Then said Solomon, The LORD hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
1 Yna dywedodd Solomon: "Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD y trigai yn y tywyllwch.
2But I have built an house of habitation for thee, and a place for thy dwelling for ever.
2 Adeiledais innau i ti du375? aruchel, a lle iti breswylio ynddo dros byth."
3And the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood.
3 Yna tra oeddent i gyd yn sefyll, troes y brenin atynt a bendithio holl gynulleidfa Israel.
4And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled that which he spake with his mouth to my father David, saying,
4 Dywedodd: "Bendigedig fyddo ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel, a gyflawnodd 'i law yr hyn a addawodd 'i enau wrth fy nhad Dafydd, pan ddywedodd,
5Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:
5 'Er y dydd y dygais fy mhobl o wlad yr Aifft, ni ddewisais ddinas ymhlith holl lwythau Israel i adeiladu ynddi du375? i'm henw fod yno, ac ni ddewisais neb i fod yn arweinydd i'm pobl Israel.
6But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
6 Ond dewisais Jerwsalem i'm henw fod yno, a dewisais Ddafydd i fod yn ben ar fy mhobl Israel.'
7Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
7 Yr oedd ym mryd fy nhad Dafydd adeiladu tu375? i enw ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel,
8But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart:
8 ond dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrtho, 'Yr oedd yn dy fryd adeiladu tu375? i'm henw, a da oedd dy fwriad,
9Notwithstanding thou shalt not build the house; but thy son which shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.
9 ond nid tydi fydd yn adeiladu'r tu375?; dy fab, a enir iti, a adeilada'r tu375? i'm henw.'
10The LORD therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
10 Yn awr y mae'r ARGLWYDD wedi gwireddu'r addewid a wnaeth; yr wyf fi wedi dod i le fy nhad Dafydd i eistedd ar orsedd Israel, fel yr addawodd yr ARGLWYDD, ac wedi adeiladu tu375? i enw ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel.
11And in it have I put the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, that he made with the children of Israel.
11 Yr wyf hefyd wedi gosod yno yr arch sy'n cynnwys y cyfamod a wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD phobl Israel."
12And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:
12 Yna safodd Solomon o flaen allor yr ARGLWYDD, yng ngu373?ydd holl gynulleidfa Israel, a chodi ei ddwylo.
13For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven.
13 Yr oedd wedi gwneud llwyfan pres, pum cufydd o hyd, pum cufydd o led, a thri chufydd o uchder, a'i osod yng nghanol y cyntedd. Dringodd i fyny arno a phenlinio yng ngu373?ydd holl gynulleidfa Israel, gan estyn ei ddwylo tua'r nef
14And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and showest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:
14 a dweud: "O ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel, nid oes Duw fel tydi yn y nefoedd na'r ddaear, yn cadw cyfamod ac yn ffyddlon i'th weision sy'n dy wasanaethu 'u holl galon.
15Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
15 Canys cedwaist dy addewid i'th was Dafydd, fy nhad; heddiw cyflawnaist 'th law yr hyn a addewaist 'th enau.
16Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
16 Yn awr, felly, O ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel, cadw'r addewid a wnaethost i'th was Dafydd, fy nhad, pan ddywedaist wrtho, 'Gofalaf na fyddi heb u373?r i eistedd ar orsedd Israel, dim ond i'th blant wylio'u ffordd, a chadw fy nghyfraith fel y gwnaethost ti.'
17Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David.
17 Yn awr, felly, O ARGLWYDD Dduw Israel, safed y gair a leferaist wrth dy was Dafydd.
18But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!
18 "Ai gwir yw y preswylia Duw ar y ddaear gyda meidrolion? Wele, ni all y nefoedd na nef y nefoedd dy gynnwys; pa faint llai y tu375? hwn a godais!
19Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:
19 Eto cymer sylw o weddi dy was ac o'i ddeisyfiad, O ARGLWYDD fy Nuw; gwrando ar fy llef, a'r weddi y mae dy was yn ei gweddo ger dy fron.
20That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place.
20 Bydded dy lygaid, nos a dydd, ar y tu375? y dywedaist amdano, 'Fy enw a fydd yno': a gwrando'r weddi y bydd dy was yn ei gweddo tua'r lle hwn.
21Hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive.
21 Gwrando hefyd ar ddeisyfiadau dy was a'th bobl Israel pan fyddant yn gweddo tua'r lle hwn. Gwrando o'r nef lle'r wyt yn preswylio, ac o glywed, maddau.
22If a man sin against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house;
22 "Os bydd rhywun wedi troseddu yn erbyn rhywun arall ac yn gorfod cymryd llw, a'i dyngu gerbron dy allor yn y tu375? hwn,
23Then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.
23 gwrando di o'r nef a gweithredu. Gweinydda farn i'th weision drwy gosbi'r drwgweithredwr yn l ei ymddygiad, ond llwydda achos y cyfiawn yn l ei gyfiawnder.
24And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house;
24 "Os trechir dy bobl Israel gan y gelyn am iddynt bechu yn dy erbyn, ac yna iddynt edifarhau a chyffesu dy enw, a gweddo ac erfyn arnat yn y tu375? hwn,
25Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers.
25 gwrando di o'r nef a maddau bechod dy bobl Israel, ac adfer hwy i'r tir a roddaist iddynt hwy ac i'w hynafiaid.
26When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them;
26 "Os bydd y nefoedd wedi cau, heb ddim glaw, am iddynt bechu yn dy erbyn, ac yna iddynt weddo tua'r lle hwn a chyffesu dy enw ac edifarhau am eu pechodau oherwydd iti eu cosbi,
27Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.
27 gwrando di yn y nef a maddau bechod dy weision a'th bobl Israel, a dysg iddynt y ffordd dda y dylent ei rhodio; ac anfon law ar dy wlad, a roddaist yn etifeddiaeth i'th bobl.
28If there be dearth in the land, if there be pestilence, if there be blasting, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillars; if their enemies besiege them in the cities of their land; whatsoever sore or whatsoever sickness there be:
28 "Os bydd yn y wlad newyn, haint, deifiad, malltod, locustiaid neu lindys, neu os bydd gelynion yn gwarchae ar unrhyw un o'i dinasoedd beth bynnag fo'r pla neu'r clefyd
29Then what prayer or what supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house:
29 clyw bob gweddi, pob deisyfiad gan unrhyw un a chan bob un o'th bobl Israel sy'n ymwybodol o'i glwy ei hun a'i boen, ac yn estyn ei ddwylo tua'r tu375? hwn;
30Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:)
30 gwrando hefyd o'r nef lle'r wyt yn preswylio, a maddau, a rho i bob un yn l ei ffyrdd, oherwydd yr wyt ti'n deall ei fwriad; canys ti yn unig sy'n adnabod pob calon ddynol;
31That they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, so long as they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.
31 felly byddant yn dy ofni ac yn rhodio yn dy ffyrdd holl ddyddiau eu bywyd ar wyneb y tir a roddaist i'n hynafiaid.
32Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;
32 "Os daw rhywun dieithr, nad yw'n un o'th bobl Israel, o wlad bell er mwyn dy enw mawr a'th law gref a'th fraich estynedig, a gweddo tua'r tu375? hwn,
33Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.
33 gwrando di o'r nef lle'r wyt yn preswylio, a gweithreda yn l y cwbl y mae'r dieithryn yn ei ddeisyf arnat, er mwyn i holl bobloedd y byd adnabod dy enw a'th ofni yr un fath 'th bobl Israel, a sylweddoli mai ar dy enw di y gelwir y tu375? hwn a adeiledais i.
34If thy people go out to war against their enemies by the way that thou shalt send them, and they pray unto thee toward this city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name;
34 "Os bydd dy bobl yn mynd i ryfela 'u gelynion, pa ffordd bynnag yr anfoni hwy, ac yna iddynt weddo arnat tua'r ddinas hon a ddewisaist, a'r tu375? a godais i'th enw,
35Then hear thou from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
35 gwrando di o'r nef ar eu gweddi a'u hymbil, a chynnal eu hachos.
36If they sin against thee, (for there is no man which sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them over before their enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near;
36 "Os pechant yn d'erbyn oherwydd nid oes neb nad yw'n pechu a thithau'n digio wrthynt ac yn eu darostwng i'w gelynion a'u caethgludo i wlad bell neu agos,
37Yet if they bethink themselves in the land whither they are carried captive, and turn and pray unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt wickedly;
37 ac yna iddynt ystyried yn y wlad lle caethgludwyd hwy, ac edifarhau a deisyf arnat yng ngwlad eu caethiwed 'r geiriau, 'Yr ydym wedi pechu a throseddu a gwneud drygioni',
38If they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I have built for thy name:
38 ac yna dychwelyd atat 'u holl galon a'u holl enaid yng ngwlad eu caethiwed lle y cawsant eu caethgludo, a gweddo arnat i gyfeiriad eu gwlad, a roddaist i'w hynafiaid, a'r ddinas a ddewisaist, a'r tu375? a godais i'th enw,
39Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive thy people which have sinned against thee.
39 gwrando di o'r nef lle'r wyt yn preswylio ar eu gweddi a'u deisyfiad, a chynnal eu hachos a maddau i'th bobl a bechodd yn d'erbyn.
40Now, my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open, and let thine ears be attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
40 Felly, fy Nuw, bydded dy lygaid yn sylwi a'th glust yn gwrando ar y weddi a offrymir yn y lle hwn.
41Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.
41 Cyfod, yn awr, O ARGLWYDD Dduw, a thyrd i'th orffwysfa, ti ac arch dy nerth. Bydded dy offeiriaid, O ARGLWYDD Dduw, wedi eu gwisgo ag iachawdwriaeth, a bydded i'th ffyddloniaid orfoleddu yn eu llwyddiant.
42O LORD God, turn not away the face of thine anointed: remember the mercies of David thy servant.
42 O ARGLWYDD Dduw, paid throi oddi wrth wyneb dy eneiniog; cofia ffyddlondeb dy was Dafydd."
