2 Kings

4

1Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
1 Apeliodd gwraig un o'r proffwydi at Eliseus a dweud, "Bu farw dy was, fy ngu373?r, ac yr oedd yn ddyn duwiol, fel y gwyddost; ac y mae'r echwynnwr wedi dod i gymryd fy nau blentyn yn gaethion iddo."
2And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.
2 Dywedodd Eliseus wrthi, "Beth a gaf ei wneud i ti? Dywed wrthyf beth sydd gennyt yn dy du375?." Atebodd hithau, "Nid oes gan dy lawforwyn ddim yn y tu375? ond ystenaid o olew."
3Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
3 Dywedodd Eliseus, "Dos a benthyg llestri gan dy holl gymdogion yn y stryd; paid bod yn brin o lestri gweigion.
4And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
4 Yna dos i mewn a chau'r drws arnat ti a'th feibion, a thywallt yr olew i'r holl lestri hynny, a gosod pob un llawn o'r neilltu."
5So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
5 Aeth oddi wrtho a chau'r drws arni hi a'i dau fab; ac fel yr oedd hi'n tywallt, yr oeddent hwythau'n dod 'r llestri ati.
6And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
6 Pan oedd wedi llenwi'r llestri, meddai hi wrth ei mab, "Tyrd llestr arall imi," a dywedodd yntau, "Nid oes yr un llestr arall." Yna peidiodd yr olew.
7Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
7 Pan ddaeth a dweud yr hanes wrth u373?r Duw, dywedodd ef, "Dos, gwerth yr olew a thl dy ddyled, a chei di a'th feibion fyw ar y gweddill."
8And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
8 Rhyw ddiwrnod aeth Eliseus heibio i Sunem, lle'r oedd gwraig fonheddig; a bu hi'n daer arno i gymryd bwyd yno. Felly bob tro y byddai'n dod heibio, byddai'n troi i mewn yno i fwyta.
9And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.
9 Dywedodd y wraig wrth ei gu373?r, "Rwy'n gwybod mai gu373?r sanctaidd Duw yw hwn sy'n dod heibio i ni o hyd.
10Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
10 Rwyf am inni wneud llofft fechan ar y mur, a gosod yno wely a bwrdd a chadair a chanhwyllbren, iddo gael troi i mewn yno pan ddaw atom."
11And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.
11 Un diwrnod pan ddaeth yno a mynd i mewn i'r llofft i orwedd,
12And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.
12 dywedodd wrth ei was Gehasi, "Galw'r Sunamees." Wedi iddo'i galw ac iddi hithau ddod ato,
13And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
13 dywedodd Eliseus wrtho, "Dywed wrthi, 'Dyma ti wedi mynd i'r holl drafferth yma er ein mwyn; beth sydd i'w wneud drosot ti? A oes eisiau dweud gair drosot wrth y brenin neu wrth bennaeth y fyddin?'" Ond dywedodd hi: "Ymysg fy nhylwyth yr wyf fi'n byw."
14And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.
14 Pan ofynnodd Eliseus, "Beth sydd i'w wneud drosti?" atebodd Gehasi, "Wel, nid oes ganddi fab, ac y mae ei gu373?r yn hen."
15And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.
15 Dywedodd, "Galw hi." Wedi iddo ei galw, a hithau'n sefyll yn y drws,
16And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.
16 dywedodd wrthi, "Yr adeg hon yn nhymor y gwanwyn byddi'n cofleidio mab." Atebodd hithau, "Na, syr, paid dweud celwydd wrth dy lawforwyn a thithau'n u373?r Duw."
17And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.
17 Ond beichiogodd y wraig ac ymddu373?yn mab yr adeg honno yn nhymor y gwanwyn, fel y dywedodd Eliseus wrthi.
18And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.
18 Wedi i'r bachgen dyfu, aeth allan ryw ddiwrnod at ei dad i blith y medelwyr,
19And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.
19 a gwaeddodd ar ei dad, "Fy mhen, fy mhen!" Dywedodd yntau wrth y gwas, "Dos ag ef at ei fam."
20And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
20 Cododd hwnnw ef a mynd ag ef at ei fam; bu'n eistedd ar ei glin hyd hanner dydd, ac yna bu farw.
21And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.
21 Cymerodd ef i fyny, a'i roi i orwedd ar wely gu373?r Duw; yna aeth allan, a chau'r drws.
22And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.
22 Wedyn galwodd ei gu373?r a dweud, "Anfon un o'r gweision ac un o'r asennod ataf, fel y gallaf frysio at u373?r Duw ac yn l."
23And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.
23 Dywedodd ef, "Pam yr ei di ato heddiw? Nid yw'n newydd-loer nac yn saboth." "Mae popeth yn iawn," meddai hithau.
24Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee.
24 Cyfrwyodd yr asen a dywedodd wrth ei gwas, "Gyr ymlaen, paid ag arafu er fy mwyn i, os na ddywedaf wrthyt."
25So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:
25 Aeth ar ei thaith, a dod at u373?r Duw ym Mynydd Carmel; a phan welodd gu373?r Duw hi'n dod, dywedodd wrth ei was Gehasi, "Dacw'r Sunamees fan draw;
26Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well:
26 rhed yn awr i'w chyfarfod a gofyn iddi, 'A yw popeth yn iawn gyda thi, gyda'th u373?r, gyda'th blentyn?'" Dywedodd hi, "Ydyw, yn iawn."
27And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.
27 Ond pan ddaeth at u373?r Duw i'r mynydd, ymaflodd yn ei draed, a phan ddaeth Gehasi i'w gwthio draw, dywedodd gu373?r Duw, "Gad iddi, oherwydd y mae mewn loes mawr, ac y mae'r ARGLWYDD wedi ei gelu oddi wrthyf a heb ei fynegi imi."
28Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?
28 A dywedodd hi, "A ofynnais i am fab oddi wrth f'arglwydd? Oni ddywedais, 'Paid 'm twyllo'? "
29Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.
29 Yna dywedodd Eliseus wrth Gehasi, "Clyma dy wisg am dy ganol, cymer fy ffon, a dos; os gweli rywun, paid 'i gyfarch, ac os bydd rhywun yn dy gyfarch di, paid ag aros i ateb. Rho fy ffon ar wyneb y bachgen."
30And the mother of the child said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her.
30 Ond dywedodd mam y bachgen, "Cyn wired bod yr ARGLWYDD yn fyw, a thithau, nid wyf fi am d'adael." Cododd yntau a mynd yn l gyda hi.
31And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.
31 Yr oedd Gehasi wedi mynd o'u blaen, a rhoi'r ffon ar wyneb y bachgen, ond ni ddaeth na su373?n na chyffro. Felly aeth yn l i gyfarfod Eliseus a dweud wrtho, "Ni ddeffrdd y bachgen."
32And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.
32 Aeth Eliseus i mewn i'r tu375?, a dyna lle'r oedd y bachgen yn farw, ac wedi ei roi i orwedd ar ei wely ef.
33He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the LORD.
33 Caeodd Eliseus y drws arnynt ill dau, a gweddo ar yr ARGLWYDD.
34And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.
34 Yna aeth at y plentyn a gorwedd drosto, a rhoi ei geg ar ei geg, a'i lygaid ar ei lygaid, a'i ddwylo ar ei ddwylo, ac ymestyn drosto nes i gnawd y plentyn gynhesu.
35Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
35 Yna cododd a cherdded unwaith yn l ac ymlaen yn y tu375?, cyn mynd yn l ac ymestyn arno. Tisiodd y bachgen seithwaith, ac agor ei lygaid.
36And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.
36 Yna galwodd Eliseus ar Gehasi a dweud, "Galw'r Sunamees."
37Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.
37 Wedi iddo'i galw, ac iddi hithau ddod, dywedodd, "Cymer dy fab." Syrthiodd hi wrth ei draed a moesymgrymu i'r llawr cyn cymryd ei mab a mynd allan.
38And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.
38 Dychwelodd Eliseus i Gilgal pan oedd newyn yn y wlad. Yr oedd nifer o broffwydi dan ei ofal, a dywedodd wrth ei was, "Gosod y crochan mawr ar y tn a berwa gawl i'r proffwydi."
39And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.
39 Yr oedd un ohonynt wedi mynd allan i'r maes i gasglu llysiau, a chafodd winwydden wyllt, a chasglodd goflaid llawn o rawn gwylltion oddi arni, heb wybod beth oeddent, a dod a'u bwrw i'r crochan cawl.
40So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
40 Tywalltwyd y cawl i'r proffwydi ei fwyta, a chyn gynted ag iddynt brofi o'r cawl, yr oeddent yn gweiddi ac yn dweud, "O u373?r Duw, y mae angau yn y crochan." Ac ni allent ei fwyta.
41But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
41 Dywedodd yntau, "Dewch blawd." Ac wedi iddo'i daflu i'r crochan, dywedodd, "Rhannwch i'r dynion, iddynt fwyta." Ac nid oedd dim niweidiol yn y crochan.
42And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.
42 Daeth gu373?r o Baal-salisa bara blaenffrwyth i u373?r Duw, yn cynnwys ugain torth haidd a thywysennau o u375?d newydd.
43And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.
43 Dywedodd, "Rhowch hwy i'r dynion i'w bwyta." Ond dywedodd ei wasanaethwr, "Sut y gallaf rannu hyn rhwng cant o ddynion?" Ond atebodd, "Rho hwy i'r dynion i'w bwyta, oherwydd fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: Bydd bwyta a gadael gweddill."
44So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD.
44 A gosododd y torthau o'u blaen, a chawsant fwyta a gadael gweddill, yn l gair yr ARGLWYDD.
