2 Samuel

16

1And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.
1 Wedi i Ddafydd fynd ychydig heibio i gopa'r mynydd, dyma Siba gwas Meffiboseth yn ei gyfarfod chwpl o asynnod wedi eu cyfrwyo yn cario dau gan torth o fara, can swp o rawnwin, cant o ffrwythau haf a photel o win.
2And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.
2 Dywedodd y brenin wrth Siba, "Beth yw'r rhain sydd gennyt?" Atebodd Siba, "Y mae'r asynnod ar gyfer teulu'r brenin i'w marchogaeth, y bara a'r ffrwythau i'r bechgyn i'w bwyta, a'r gwin i'w yfed gan unrhyw un fydd yn lluddedig yn yr anialwch."
3And the king said, And where is thy master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.
3 Holodd y brenin, "Ond ymhle y mae u373?yr dy feistr?" Atebodd Siba, "Y mae ef wedi aros yn Jerwsalem, oblegid y mae'n meddwl y bydd yr Israeliaid yn awr yn dychwelyd teyrnas ei daid iddo."
4Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.
4 Dywedodd y brenin wrth Siba, "Edrych, ti biau bopeth sydd gan Meffiboseth." Atebodd Siba, "Yr wyf yn ymostwng o'th flaen; bydded imi gael ffafr yn dy olwg, f'arglwydd frenin."
5And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.
5 Pan gyrhaeddodd Dafydd Bahurim, dyma ddyn o dylwyth Saul, o'r enw Simei fab Gera, yn dod allan oddi yno dan felltithio.
6And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.
6 Yr oedd yn taflu cerrig at Ddafydd a holl weision y brenin, er bod yr holl fintai a'r milwyr i gyd o boptu iddo.
7And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial:
7 Ac fel hyn yr oedd Simei yn dweud wrth felltithio: "Dos i ffwrdd, dos i ffwrdd, y llofrudd, y dihiryn;
8The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.
8 y mae'r ARGLWYDD wedi talu iti am holl waed teulu Saul a ddisodlaist fel brenin; y mae'r ARGLWYDD wedi rhoi'r deyrnas yn llaw dy fab Absalom. Dyma ti mewn adfyd oherwydd mai llofrudd wyt ti."
9Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.
9 Dywedodd Abisai fab Serfia wrth y brenin, "Pam y dylai'r ci marw hwn gael melltithio f'arglwydd frenin? Gad imi fynd ato a thorri ei ben i ffwrdd."
10And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?
10 Ond meddai'r brenin, "Beth sydd a wnelo hyn mi neu chwi, feibion Serfia? Y mae ef yn melltithio fel hyn am fod yr ARGLWYDD wedi dweud wrtho am felltithio Dafydd, a phwy sydd i ofyn, 'Pam y gwnaethost hyn?'"
11And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.
11 Ychwanegodd Dafydd wrth Abisai a'i holl weision. "Edrychwch, y mae fy mab i fy hun yn ceisio fy mywyd; pa faint mwy y Benjaminiad hwn?
12It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.
12 Gadewch iddo felltithio, oherwydd yr ARGLWYDD sydd wedi dweud wrtho. Efallai y bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn edrych ar fy nghyni, ac yn gwneud daioni imi yn lle ei felltith ef heddiw."
13And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.
13 Yna, tra oedd Dafydd a'i filwyr yn mynd ar hyd y ffordd, yr oedd Simei yn mynd ar hyd ochr y mynydd gyferbyn ag ef, yn melltithio ac yn lluchio cerrig ac yn taflu pridd ato.
14And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.
14 Erbyn iddynt gyrraedd yr Iorddonen yr oedd y brenin a'r holl bobl oedd gydag ef yn lluddedig, felly cymerasant seibiant yno.
15And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.
15 Yr oedd Absalom a'r holl fyddin o Israeliaid wedi cyrraedd Jerwsalem, ac Ahitoffel gyda hwy.
16And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.
16 Yna, pan ddaeth Husai yr Arciad, cyfaill Dafydd, at Absalom a dweud wrtho, "Byw fyddo'r brenin, byw fyddo'r brenin!"
17And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend?
17 Gof-ynnodd Absalom i Husai, "Ai dyma dy deyrngarwch i'th gyfaill? Pam nad aethost ti gyda'th gyfaill?"
18And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.
18 Ac meddai Husai wrth Absalom, "O na, yr wyf fi o blaid yr un a ddewiswyd gan yr ARGLWYDD, a'r bobl hyn a'r holl Israeliaid, a chydag ef yr arhosaf.
19And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy father's presence, so will I be in thy presence.
19 Ac at hynny, pwy a ddylwn i ei wasanaethu? Onid ei fab? Fel y bm yn gwasanaethu dy dad, felly y byddaf gyda thi."
20Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.
20 Yna dywedodd Absalom wrth Ahitoffel, "Rho gyngor inni beth i'w wneud."
21And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.
21 Atebodd Ahitoffel, "Dos i mewn at ordderchwragedd dy dad a adawodd ef i ofalu am y tu375?; a phan fydd Israel gyfan yn clywed dy fod wedi dy ffieiddio gan dy dad, fe gryfheir dwylo pawb sydd gyda thi."
22So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
22 Taenwyd pabell i Absalom ar y to, ac aeth yntau i mewn at ordderchwragedd ei dad yng ngolwg Israel gyfan.
23And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counseled in those days, was as if a man had inquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
23 Yr oedd y cyngor a roddai Ahitoffel yn y dyddiau hynny fel pe bai rhywun yn ymofyn cyfarwyddyd gan Dduw; felly'r ystyrid ef gan Ddafydd ac Absalom hefyd.
