¹And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

¹ Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,

²Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;

² "Fab dyn, proffwyda yn erbyn proffwydi Israel sy'n proffwydo; a dywed wrth y rhai sy'n proffwydo o'u meddyliau eu hunain, 'Gwrandewch air yr ARGLWYDD.'

³Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

³ Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Gwae'r proffwydi ynfyd sy'n dilyn eu hysbryd eu hunain ac sydd heb weld dim!

⁴O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.

⁴ Bu dy broffwydi, O Israel, fel llwynogod mewn adfeilion.

⁵Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

⁵ Nid aethoch i fyny i'r bylchau, ac adeiladu'r mur i du375? Israel, er mwyn iddo sefyll yn y frwydr ar ddydd yr ARGLWYDD.

⁶They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

⁶ Y mae eu gweledigaethau yn dwyllodrus a'u dewiniaeth yn gelwydd; er nad yw'r ARGLWYDD wedi eu hanfon, y maent yn dweud, 'Medd yr ARGLWYDD', ac yn disgwyl iddo gyflawni eu gair.

⁷Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?

⁷ Onid gweld gweledigaeth dwyllodrus a llefaru dewiniaeth gelwyddog yr oeddech wrth ddweud, 'Medd yr ARGLWYDD', a minnau heb lefaru?

⁸Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.

⁸ "Felly, fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Am ichwi lefaru'n dwyllodrus a chael gweledigaethau celwyddog, yr wyf fi yn eich erbyn, medd yr Arglwydd DDUW.

⁹And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

⁹ Bydd fy llaw yn erbyn y proffwydi sy'n cael gweledigaethau twyllodrus ac yn llefaru dewiniaeth gelwyddog; ni fyddant yn perthyn i gyngor fy mhobl nac wedi eu rhestru ar gofrestr tu375? Israel, ac ni fyddant yn dod i dir Israel. Yna byddwch yn gwybod mai myfi yw'r Arglwydd DDUW.

¹⁰Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:

¹⁰ "Am iddynt arwain fy mhobl ar gyfeiliorn a dweud, 'Heddwch', er nad oedd heddwch, y maent yn codi wal simsan ac yn ei dwbio � gwyngalch.

¹¹Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.

¹¹ Dywed wrth y rhai sy'n ei gwyngalchu y bydd yn cwympo; daw glaw yn llifeiriant, paraf i'r cenllysg ddisgyn, a bydd gwyntoedd stormus yn rhwygo.

¹²Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?

¹² Pan fydd y mur yn cwympo, oni ofynnir i chwi, 'Ymhle mae'r gwyngalch a roesoch?'?

¹³Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.

¹³ Felly, fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Yn fy nig gwnaf i wynt stormus rwygo, yn fy llid daw glaw yn llifeiriant, ac yn fy nig daw cenllysg i'w dinistrio.

¹⁴So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

¹⁴ Chwalaf y mur a wyngalchwyd, a'i wneud yn wastad �'r llawr a dinoethi ei sylfaen. A phan syrth o'ch cwmpas, fe'ch dinistrir; yna byddwch yn gwybod mai myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD.

¹⁵Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;

¹⁵ Byddaf yn gweithredu fy nig yn erbyn y mur ac yn erbyn y rhai a fu'n ei wyngalchu, a dywedaf wrthych, 'Darfu am y mur ac am y rhai a fu'n ei wyngalchu,

¹⁶To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.

¹⁶ sef proffwydi Israel, a broffwydodd wrth Jerwsalem a chael gweledigaethau o heddwch, er nad oedd heddwch, medd yr Arglwydd DDUW.'

¹⁷Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,

¹⁷ "A thithau, fab dyn, gosod dy wyneb yn erbyn merched dy bobl, sy'n proffwydo o'u meddyliau eu hunain. Proffwyda yn eu herbyn

¹⁸And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?

¹⁸ a dywed, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Gwae'r gwragedd sy'n gwau breichledau hud ar bob garddwrn, ac yn gwneud gorchudd o bob maint ar y pen, er mwyn rhwydo bywydau pobl. A fyddwch yn rhwydo bywydau fy mhobl, ond yn cadw eich bywydau eich hunain yn ddiogel?

¹⁹And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?

¹⁹ Yr ydych wedi fy halogi i ymysg fy mhobl er mwyn dyrneidiau o haidd a thameidiau o fara. Yr ydych wedi lladd y rhai na ddylent farw, ac wedi arbed bywyd y rhai na ddylent fyw, trwy eich celwyddau wrth fy mhobl, sy'n gwrando ar gelwydd.

²⁰Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

²⁰ Felly, fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Yr wyf yn erbyn eich breichledau hud, yr ydych � hwy yn rhwydo bywydau fel adar, a thorraf hwy oddi ar eich breichiau; gollyngaf yn rhydd y bywydau yr ydych yn eu rhwydo fel adar.

²¹Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

²¹ Torraf ymaith eich gorchuddion, a gwaredaf fy mhobl o'ch dwylo, ac ni fyddant eto yn ysglyfaeth yn eich dwylo; yna byddwch yn gwybod mai myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD.

²²Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

²² Am ichwi ddigalonni'r cyfiawn �'ch twyll, er nad oeddwn i'n ei niweidio, ac am ichwi gefnogi'r drygionus, rhag iddo droi o'i ffordd ddrwg ac arbed ei fywyd,

²³Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

²³ felly ni fyddwch yn cael gweledigaethau twyllodrus eto nac yn ymarfer dewiniaeth. Byddaf yn gwaredu fy mhobl o'ch dwylo, a byddwch yn gwybod mai myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD.'"
