¹Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

¹ Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,

²Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:

² "Fab dyn, llefara wrth dy bobl a dweud wrthynt, 'Bwriwch fy mod yn anfon cleddyf yn erbyn gwlad, a phobl y wlad yn dewis un gu373?r o'u plith i fod yn wyliwr iddynt,

³If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;

³ ac yntau'n gweld y cleddyf yn dod yn erbyn y wlad ac yn canu utgorn i rybuddio'r bobl;

⁴Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

⁴ yna, os bydd rhywun yn clywed sain yr utgorn ond heb dderbyn y rhybudd, a'r cleddyf yn dod ac yn ei ladd, ef ei hun fydd yn gyfrifol am ei waed.

⁵He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

⁵ Oherwydd iddo glywed sain yr utgorn a pheidio � derbyn rhybudd, ef ei hun fydd yn gyfrifol am ei waed; pe byddai wedi derbyn rhybudd, byddai wedi arbed ei fywyd.

⁶But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

⁶ Ond pe byddai'r gwyliedydd yn gweld y cleddyf yn dod ac yn peidio � chanu'r utgorn i rybuddio'r bobl, a'r cleddyf yn dod ac yn lladd un ohonynt, yna, er i hwnnw gael ei ladd am ei ddrygioni, byddwn yn dal y gwyliedydd yn gyfrifol am ei waed.'

⁷So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

⁷ "Fab dyn, gosodais di yn wyliwr i du375? Israel; byddi'n clywed gair o'm genau ac yn rhoi rhybudd iddynt oddi wrthyf.

⁸When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

⁸ Os dywedaf fi wrth y drygionus, 'O ddrygionus, byddi'n sicr o farw', a thithau'n peidio � llefaru i'w rybuddio i droi o'i ffordd, yna, er i'r drygionus farw am ei ddrygioni, byddaf yn dy ddal di'n gyfrifol am ei waed.

⁹Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

⁹ Ond os byddi'n rhybuddio'r drygionus i droi o'i ffordd, ac yntau'n gwrthod, fe fydd farw am ei ddrygioni, ond fe fyddi di'n arbed dy fywyd.

¹⁰Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?

¹⁰ "Fab dyn, dywed wrth du375? Israel, 'Dyma a ddywedwch: "Y mae ein troseddau a'n pechodau yn fwrn arnom, ac yr ydym yn darfod o'u plegid; sut y byddwn fyw?"'

¹¹Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

¹¹ Dywed wrthynt, 'Cyn wired �'m bod yn fyw, medd yr Arglwydd DDUW, nid wyf yn ymhyfrydu ym marwolaeth y drygionus, ond yn hytrach ei fod yn troi o'i ffordd ac yn byw. Trowch, trowch o'ch ffyrdd drwg! Pam y byddwch farw, O du375? Israel?'

¹²Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

¹² "Fab dyn, dywed wrth dy bobl, 'Ni fydd cyfiawnder y cyfiawn yn ei waredu pan fydd yn pechu, ac ni fydd drygioni'r drygionus yn peri iddo syrthio pan fydd yn troi oddi wrth ei ddrygioni; ni all y cyfiawn fyw trwy ei gyfiawnder pan fydd yn pechu.'

¹³When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.

¹³ Os dywedaf wrth y cyfiawn y bydd yn sicr o fyw, ac yntau wedyn yn ymddiried yn ei gyfiawnder ac yn gwneud drygioni, ni chofir yr un o'i weithredoedd cyfiawn; bydd farw am y drygioni a wnaeth.

¹⁴Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;

¹⁴ Ac os dywedaf wrth y drygionus, 'Byddi'n sicr o farw', ac yntau'n troi oddi wrth ei ddrygioni ac yn gwneud yr hyn sy'n gywir a chyfiawn,

¹⁵If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.

¹⁵ yn dychwelyd gwystl, yn adfer yr hyn a ladrataodd, yn dilyn rheolau'r bywyd ac yn ymatal rhag drwg, bydd yn sicr o fyw; ni fydd farw.

¹⁶None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

¹⁶ Ni chofir yn ei erbyn yr un o'i bechodau; gwnaeth yr hyn sy'n gywir a chyfiawn, a bydd yn sicr o fyw.

¹⁷Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.

¹⁷ "Eto fe ddywed dy bobl, 'Nid yw ffordd yr Arglwydd yn gyfiawn'; ond eu ffordd hwy sy'n anghyfiawn.

¹⁸When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.

¹⁸ Os try un cyfiawn oddi wrth ei gyfiawnder a gwneud drwg, bydd farw am hynny.

¹⁹But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.

¹⁹ Os try un drygionus oddi wrth ei ddrygioni a gwneud yr hyn sy'n gywir a chyfiawn, bydd fyw am hynny.

²⁰Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

²⁰ Eto fe ddywedwch, 'Nid yw ffordd yr Arglwydd yn gyfiawn'! O du375? Israel, fe farnaf bob un ohonoch yn �l ei ffyrdd."

²¹And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.

²¹ Ar y pumed dydd o'r degfed mis yn neuddegfed flwyddyn ein caethglud, daeth ataf ddyn oedd wedi dianc o Jerwsalem a dweud, "Cwympodd y ddinas!"

²²Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, afore he that was escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.

²² Y noson cyn iddo gyrraedd, yr oedd llaw yr ARGLWYDD wedi dod arnaf, ac yr oedd wedi agor fy ngenau cyn i'r dyn ddod ataf yn y bore. Felly yr oedd fy ngenau'n agored, ac nid oeddwn bellach yn fud.

²³Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

²³ Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,

²⁴Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.

²⁴ "Fab dyn, y mae'r rhai sy'n byw yn yr adfeilion yna yng ngwlad Israel yn dweud, 'Un dyn oedd Abraham, ac fe feddiannodd y wlad; ond yr ydym ni'n llawer, ac yn sicr y mae'r wlad wedi ei rhoi'n feddiant i ni.'

²⁵Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?

²⁵ Felly, dywed wrthynt, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Yr ydych yn bwyta cig gyda'r gwaed, yn codi eich golygon at eich eilunod, ac yn tywallt gwaed; a fyddwch felly'n meddiannu'r wlad?

²⁶Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbour's wife: and shall ye possess the land?

²⁶ Yr ydych yn dibynnu ar eich cleddyf, yn gwneud ffieidd-dra, a phob un ohonoch yn halogi gwraig ei gymydog; a fyddwch felly'n meddiannu'r wlad?'

²⁷Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

²⁷ Dywed wrthynt, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Cyn wired �'m bod yn fyw, bydd y rhai a adawyd yn yr adfeilion yn syrthio trwy'r cleddyf, y sawl sydd allan yn y wlad yn cael ei roi i'r anifeiliaid gwylltion i'w ddifa, a'r rhai sydd mewn amddiffynfeydd ac ogofeydd yn marw o bla.

²⁸For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through.

²⁸ Gwnaf y wlad yn ddiffeithwch anial, a bydd diwedd ar ei rym balch; bydd mynyddoedd Israel mor ddiffaith fel na fydd neb yn eu croesi.

²⁹Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.

²⁹ Yna byddant yn gwybod mai myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD, pan fyddaf wedi gwneud y wlad yn ddiffeithwch anial oherwydd yr holl ffieidd-dra a wnaethant.'

³⁰Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.

³⁰ "Amdanat ti, fab dyn, y mae dy bobl yn siarad ger y muriau ac wrth ddrysau'r tai, ac yn dweud wrth ei gilydd, 'Dewch i wrando beth yw'r gair a ddaeth oddi wrth yr ARGLWYDD.'

³¹And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

³¹ Fe ddaw fy mhobl yn �l eu harfer, ac eistedd o'th flaen a gwrando ar dy eiriau, ond ni fyddant yn eu gwneud. Y mae geiriau serchog yn eu genau, ond eu calon yn eu harwain ar �l elw.

³²And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

³² Yn wir, nid wyt ti iddynt hwy ond un yn canu caneuon serch mewn llais peraidd ac yn chwarae offeryn yn dda, oherwydd y maent yn gwrando ar dy eiriau ond heb eu gwneud.

³³And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.

³³ Pan ddigwydd hyn, ac y mae hynny'n sicr, byddant yn gwybod i broffwyd fod yn eu mysg."
