Genesis

3

1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
1 Yr oedd y sarff yn fwy cyfrwys na'r holl fwystfilod gwyllt a wnaed gan yr ARGLWYDD Dduw. A dywedodd wrth y wraig, "A yw Duw yn wir wedi dweud, 'Ni chewch fwyta o'r un o goed yr ardd'?"
2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
2 Dywedodd y wraig wrth y sarff, "Cawn fwyta o ffrwyth coed yr ardd,
3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
3 ond am ffrwyth y goeden sydd yng nghanol yr ardd dywedodd Duw, 'Peidiwch bwyta ohono, na chyffwrdd ag ef, rhag ichwi farw.'"
4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
4 Ond dywedodd y sarff wrth y wraig, "Na! ni fyddwch farw;
5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
5 ond fe u373?yr Duw yr agorir eich llygaid y dydd y bwytewch ohono, a byddwch fel Duw yn gwybod da a drwg."
6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
6 A phan ddeallodd y wraig fod y pren yn dda i fwyta ohono, a'i fod yn deg i'r golwg ac yn bren i'w ddymuno i beri doethineb, cymerodd o'i ffrwyth a'i fwyta, a'i roi hefyd i'w gu373?r oedd gyda hi, a bwytaodd yntau.
7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
7 Yna agorwyd eu llygaid hwy ill dau i wybod eu bod yn noeth, a gwnasant ddail ffigysbren i wneud ffedogau iddynt eu hunain.
8And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
8 A chlywsant su373?n yr ARGLWYDD Dduw yn rhodio yn yr ardd gyda hwyr y dydd, ac ymguddiodd y dyn a'i wraig o olwg yr ARGLWYDD Dduw ymysg coed yr ardd.
9And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
9 Ond galwodd yr ARGLWYDD Dduw ar y dyn, a dweud wrtho, "Ble'r wyt ti?"
10And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
10 Atebodd yntau, "Clywais dy su373?n yn yr ardd, ac ofnais oherwydd fy mod yn noeth, ac ymguddiais."
11And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
11 Dywedodd yntau, "Pwy a ddywedodd wrthyt dy fod yn noeth? A wyt ti wedi bwyta o'r pren y gorchmynnais iti beidio bwyta ohono?"
12And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
12 A dywedodd y dyn, "Y wraig a roddaist i fod gyda mi a roes i mi o ffrwyth y pren, a bwyteais innau."
13And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
13 Yna dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD Dduw wrth y wraig, "Pam y gwnaethost hyn?" A dywedodd y wraig, "Y sarff a'm twyllodd, a bwyteais innau."
14And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
14 Yna dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD Dduw wrth y sarff: "Am iti wneud hyn, yr wyt yn fwy melltigedig na'r holl anifeiliaid, ac na'r holl fwystfilod gwyllt; byddi'n ymlusgo ar dy dor, ac yn bwyta llwch holl ddyddiau dy fywyd.
15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
15 Gosodaf elyniaeth hefyd rhyngot ti a'r wraig, a rhwng dy had di a'i had hithau; bydd ef yn ysigo dy ben di, a thithau'n ysigo'i sawdl ef."
16Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
16 Dywedodd wrth y wraig: "Byddaf yn amlhau yn ddirfawr dy boen a'th wewyr; mewn poen y byddi'n geni plant. Eto bydd dy ddyhead am dy u373?r, a bydd ef yn llywodraethu arnat."
17And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
17 Dywedodd wrth Adda: "Am iti wrando ar lais dy wraig, a bwyta o'r pren y gorchmynnais i ti beidio bwyta ohono, melltigedig yw'r ddaear o'th achos; trwy lafur y bwytei ohoni holl ddyddiau dy fywyd.
18Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
18 Bydd yn rhoi iti ddrain ac ysgall, a byddi'n bwyta llysiau gwyllt.
19In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
19 Trwy chwys dy wyneb y byddi'n bwyta bara hyd oni ddychweli i'r pridd, oherwydd ohono y'th gymerwyd; llwch wyt ti, ac i'r llwch y dychweli."
20And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
20 Rhoddodd y dyn i'w wraig yr enw Efa, am mai hi oedd mam pob un byw.
21Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
21 A gwnaeth yr ARGLWYDD Dduw beisiau crwyn i Adda a'i wraig, a'u gwisgo amdanynt.
22And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
22 Yna dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD Dduw, "Edrychwch, y mae'r dyn fel un ohonom ni, yn gwybod da a drwg. Yn awr, rhaid iddo beidio ag estyn ei law a chymryd hefyd o bren y bywyd, a bwyta, a byw hyd byth."
23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
23 Am hynny anfonodd yr ARGLWYDD Dduw ef allan o ardd Eden, i drin y tir y cymerwyd ef ohono.
24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
24 Gyrrodd y dyn allan; a gosododd gerwbiaid i'r dwyrain o ardd Eden, a chleddyf fflamllyd yn chwyrlo, i warchod y ffordd at bren y bywyd.
