¹Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

¹ "Dewch, dychwelwn drachefn at yr ARGLWYDD; fe'n drylliodd, ac fe'n hiach�; fe'n trawodd, ac fe'n meddyginiaetha.

²After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

² Fe'n hadfywia ar �l deuddydd, a'n codi ar y trydydd dydd, inni fyw yn ei u373?ydd.

³Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

³ Gadewch inni adnabod, ymdrechu i adnabod, yr ARGLWYDD; y mae ei ddyfodiad mor sicr �'r wawr; daw fel glaw atom, fel glaw gwanwyn sy'n dyfrhau'r ddaear."

⁴O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.

⁴ "Beth a wnaf i ti, Effraim? Beth a wnaf i ti, Jwda? Y mae dy ffyddlondeb fel tarth y bore, fel gwlith sy'n codi'n gynnar.

⁵Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.

⁵ Am hynny, fe'u drylliais trwy'r proffwydi, fe'u lleddais � geiriau fy ngenau, a daw fy marn allan fel goleuni.

⁶For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

⁶ Oherwydd ffyddlondeb a geisiaf, ac nid aberth, gwybodaeth o Dduw yn hytrach na phoethoffrymau.

⁷But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.

⁷ Yn Adma torasant gyfamod, yno buont dwyllodrus tuag ataf.

⁸Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.

⁸ Dinas rhai ofer yw Gilead, wedi ei thrybaeddu � gwaed.

⁹And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.

⁹ Fel y bydd lladron yn disgwyl am rywun, felly'r ymunodd yr offeiriaid yn fintai; byddant yn lladd ar y ffordd i Sichem, yn wir, yn gwneud anfadwaith.

¹⁰I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.

¹⁰ Yng nghysegr Israel gwelais beth erchyll; yno y mae puteindra Effraim, ac yr halogodd Israel ei hun.

¹¹Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.

¹¹ I tithau hefyd, Jwda, paratowyd cynhaeaf.
