¹The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

¹ Dyma'r weledigaeth a ddaeth i Eseia fab Amos am Jwda a Jerwsalem yn ystod teyrnasiad Usseia, Jotham, Ahas a Heseceia, brenhinoedd Jwda.

²Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

² Clyw, nefoedd! Gwrando, ddaear! Oherwydd llefarodd yr ARGLWYDD: "Megais blant a'u meithrin, ond codasant mewn gwrthryfel yn f'erbyn.

³The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

³ Y mae'r ych yn adnabod y sawl a'i piau, a'r asyn breseb ei berchennog; ond nid yw Israel yn adnabod, ac nid yw fy mhobl yn deall."

⁴Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

⁴ O genhedlaeth bechadurus, pobl dan faich o ddrygioni, epil drwgweithredwyr, plant anrheithwyr! Y maent wedi gadael yr ARGLWYDD, wedi dirmygu Sanct Israel, a throi cefn.

⁵Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

⁵ I ba ddiben y trewir chwi mwyach, gan eich bod yn parhau i wrthgilio? Y mae eich pen yn ddoluriau i gyd, a'ch holl galon yn ysig;

⁶From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

⁶ o'r corun i'r sawdl nid oes un man yn iach, dim ond archoll a chlais a dolur crawnllyd heb eu gwasgu na'u rhwymo na'u hesmwytho ag olew.

⁷Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

⁷ Y mae eich gwlad yn anrhaith, eich dinasoedd yn ulw, a dieithriaid yn ysu eich tir yn eich gu373?ydd; y mae'n ddiffaith fel Sodom ar �l ei dinistrio.

⁸And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

⁸ Gadawyd Seion fel caban mewn gwinllan, fel cwt mewn gardd cucumerau, fel dinas dan warchae.

⁹Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

⁹ Oni bai i ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd adael i ni weddill bychan, byddem fel Sodom, a'r un ffunud � Gomorra.

¹⁰Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

¹⁰ Clywch air yr ARGLWYDD, chwi reolwyr Sodom, gwrandewch ar gyfraith ein Duw, chwi bobl Gomorra.

¹¹To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

¹¹ "Beth i mi yw eich aml aberthau?" medd yr ARGLWYDD. "Cefais syrffed ar boethoffrwm o hyrddod a braster anifeiliaid; ni chaf bleser o waed bustych nac o u373?yn na bychod.

¹²When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

¹² Pan ddewch i ymddangos o'm blaen, pwy sy'n gofyn hyn gennych, sef mathru fy nghynteddau?

¹³Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

¹³ Peidiwch � chyflwyno rhagor o offrymau ofer; y mae arogldarth yn ffiaidd i mi. Gu373?yl y newydd-loer, Sabothau a galw cymanfa � ni allaf oddef drygioni a chynulliad sanctaidd.

¹⁴Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

¹⁴ Y mae'n gas gan f'enaid eich newydd�loerau a'ch gwyliau sefydlog; aethant yn faich arnaf, a blinais eu dwyn.

¹⁵And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

¹⁵ Pan ledwch eich dwylo mewn gweddi, trof fy llygaid ymaith; er i chwi amlhau eich ymbil, ni fynnaf wrando arnoch. Y mae eich dwylo'n llawn gwaed;

¹⁶Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

¹⁶ ymolchwch, ymlanhewch. Ewch �'ch gweithredoedd drwg o'm golwg;

¹⁷Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

¹⁷ peidiwch � gwneud drwg, dysgwch wneud daioni. Ceisiwch farn, achubwch gam y gorthrymedig, amddiffynnwch yr amddifad, a chymerwch blaid y weddw.

¹⁸Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

¹⁸ "Yn awr, ynteu, ymresymwn �'n gilydd," medd yr ARGLWYDD. "Pe bai eich pechodau fel ysgarlad, fe fyddant cyn wynned �'r eira; pe baent cyn goched � phorffor, fe �nt fel gwl�n.

¹⁹If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

¹⁹ Os bodlonwch i ufuddhau, cewch fwyta o ddaioni'r tir;

²⁰But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

²⁰ ond os gwrthodwch, a gwrthryfela, fe'ch ysir � chleddyf." Genau'r ARGLWYDD a'i llefarodd.

²¹How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

²¹ O fel yr aeth y ddinas ffyddlon yn butain! Bu'n llawn o farn, a thrigai cyfiawnder ynddi, ond bellach llofruddion.

²²Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:

²² Aeth dy arian yn sorod, a'th win yn gymysg � du373?r.

²³Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.

²³ Y mae dy arweinwyr yn wrthryfelwyr ac yn bartneriaid lladron; y maent i gyd yn caru cil-dwrn ac yn chwilio am wobrau; nid ydynt yn amddiffyn yr amddifad, ac ni roddant sylw i gu373?yn y weddw.

²⁴Therefore saith the LORD, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:

²⁴ Am hynny, medd yr ARGLWYDD, ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, Cadernid Israel, "Aha! Caf fwrw fy llid ar y rhai sy'n fy mlino, a dialaf ar fy ngelynion.

²⁵And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:

²⁵ Trof fy llaw yn dy erbyn, puraf dy sorod � thrwyth, a symudaf dy holl amhuredd.

²⁶And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

²⁶ Trof dy farnwyr i fod fel cynt, a'th gynghorwyr fel yn y dechrau. Ac wedi hynny fe'th elwir yn ddinas gyfiawn, yn dref ffyddlon."

²⁷Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

²⁷ Gwaredir Seion trwy farn, a'i rhai edifeiriol trwy gyfiawnder.

²⁸And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.

²⁸ Ond daw dinistr i'r gwrthryfelwyr a'r pechaduriaid ynghyd, a diddymir y rhai a gefna ar Dduw.

²⁹For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.

²⁹ Bydd arnoch gywilydd o'r deri a oedd yn hoff gennych, a gwridwch dros eich gerddi dethol;

³⁰For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.

³⁰ byddwch fel coeden dderw a'i dail wedi gwywo, ac fel gardd heb ddu373?r ynddi.

³¹And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.

³¹ Bydd y cadarn fel cynnud, a'i orchest fel gwreichionen; fe losgant ill dau ynghyd, ac ni all neb eu diffodd.
