Jeremiah

25

1The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;
1 Dyma'r gair a ddaeth at Jeremeia am holl bobl Jwda ym mhedwaredd flwyddyn Jehoiacim fab Joseia, brenin Jwda, a blwyddyn gyntaf Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon.
2The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
2 Llefarodd Jeremeia y proffwyd wrth holl bobl Jwda a holl breswylwyr Jerwsalem, gan ddweud,
3From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
3 "o'r drydedd flwyddyn ar ddeg o deyrnasiad Joseia fab Amon, brenin Jwda, hyd heddiw, hynny yw, tair blynedd ar hugain, daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a lleferais wrthych yn gyson, ond ni wrandawsoch.
4And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.
4 Anfonodd yr ARGLWYDD ei holl weision y proffwydi atoch yn gyson; ond ni wrandawsoch, na gogwyddo clust i wrando,
5They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:
5 pan ddywedwyd, 'Dychwelwch, yn awr, bob un o'i ffordd annuwiol, ac o'ch gweithredoedd drwg, a thrigwch yn y tir a roes yr ARGLWYDD i chwi ac i'ch hynafiaid byth ac yn dragywydd.
6And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.
6 Peidiwch mynd ar l duwiau eraill, i'w gwasanaethu a'u haddoli, a pheidiwch 'm digio gwaith eich dwylo; yna ni wnaf niwed i chwi.'
7Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.
7 Ond ni wrandawsoch arnaf," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "ond fy nigio gwaith eich dwylo, er niwed i chwi.
8Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words,
8 "Am hynny, fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: 'Oherwydd na wrandawsoch ar fy ngeiriau,
9Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.
9 yr wyf yn anfon am holl lwythau'r gogledd,' medd yr ARGLWYDD, 'ac am Nebuchadnesar brenin Babilon, fy ngwas, a'u dwyn yn erbyn y wlad hon a'i phreswylwyr, ac yn erbyn yr holl genhedloedd hyn oddi amgylch; a difrodaf hwy a'u gosod yn ddychryn ac yn syndod ac yn anghyfanedd-dra hyd byth.
10Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.
10 Ataliaf o'u plith bob sain hyfryd a llawen, sain priodfab a phriodferch, sain meini melin yn malu, a golau llusern.
11And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
11 Bydd yr holl wlad hon yn ddiffaith ac yn ddychryn, a bydd y cenhedloedd hyn yn gwasanaethu brenin Babilon am ddeng mlynedd a thrigain.
12And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
12 Ar ddiwedd y deng mlynedd a thrigain hyn cosbaf frenin Babilon a'r genedl honno am eu camwedd,' medd yr ARGLWYDD, 'a chosbaf wlad y Caldeaid, a gwnaf hi yn anghyfannedd hyd byth.
13And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
13 Dygaf ar y wlad honno yr holl eiriau a leferais yn ei herbyn, a phob peth sydd wedi ei ysgrifennu yn y llyfr hwn, pob peth a broffwydodd Jeremeia yn erbyn yr holl genhedloedd.
14For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.
14 Canys fe'u caethiwir hwythau gan genhedloedd cryfion a brenhinoedd mawrion, ac felly y talaf iddynt yn l eu gweithredoedd a gwaith eu dwylo.'"
15For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
15 Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel, wrthyf: "Cymer y cwpan hwn o win llidiog o'm llaw, a rho ef i'w yfed i'r holl genhedloedd yr anfonaf di atynt.
16And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
16 Byddant yn ei yfed, ac yn gwegian, ac yn gwallgofi oherwydd y cleddyf a anfonaf i'w plith."
17Then took I the cup at the LORD's hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:
17 Cymerais y cwpan o law yr ARGLWYDD, a diodais yr holl genhedloedd yr anfonodd yr ARGLWYDD fi atynt:
18To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;
18 Jerwsalem a dinasoedd Jwda, ei brenhinoedd a'i thywysogion, i'w gwneud yn ddiffeithwch, yn ddychryn, yn syndod, ac yn felltith, fel y maent heddiw;
19Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
19 hefyd Pharo brenin yr Aifft, a'i weision a'i dywysogion a'i holl bobl,
20And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,
20 a'u holl estroniaid; holl frenhinoedd gwlad Us, a holl frenhinoedd gwlad y Philistiaid, ac Ascalon a Gasa ac Ecron a gweddill Asdod;
21Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon,
21 Edom a Moab a phobl Ammon;
22And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,
22 holl frenhinoedd Tyrus a holl frenhinoedd Sidon, a brenhinoedd yr ynysoedd dros y mr;
23Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners,
23 Dedan a Tema a Bus; pawb sydd 'u talcennau'n foel;
24And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,
24 holl frenhinoedd Arabia, a holl frenhinoedd y llwythau cymysg sy'n trigo yn yr anialwch;
25And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,
25 holl frenhinoedd Simri, a holl frenhinoedd Elam, a holl frenhinoedd Media;
26And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
26 holl frenhinoedd y gogledd, yn agos ac ymhell, y naill ar l y llall, a holl deyrnasoedd byd ar wyneb y ddaear; brenin Sesach a gaiff yfed ar eu hl hwy.
27Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
27 "Dywedi wrthynt, 'Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, Duw Israel: Yfwch, a meddwi a chyfogi, a syrthio heb godi, oherwydd y cleddyf a anfonaf i'ch plith.'
28And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.
28 Os gwrthodant gymryd y cwpan o'th law i'w yfed, yna dywedi wrthynt, 'Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: Y mae'n rhaid ei yfed.
29For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.
29 Canys wele, yr wyf yn dechrau niweidio'r ddinas y galwyd fy enw arni; a ddihangwch chwi? Ni ddihangwch; canys yr wyf yn galw am gleddyf yn erbyn holl breswylwyr y wlad, medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd.'
30Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
30 Proffwydi dithau yn eu herbyn yr holl eiriau hyn a dweud, 'Y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn rhuo o'r uchelder; o'i drigfan sanctaidd fe gyfyd ei lef; rhua'n chwyrn yn erbyn ei drigle; gwaedda, fel gwaedd rhai yn sathru grawnwin, yn erbyn holl breswylwyr y tir.
31A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.
31 Atseinia'r twrf hyd eithafoedd byd, canys bydd Duw'n dwyn achos yn erbyn y cenhedloedd, ac yn mynd i farn yn erbyn pob cnawd, ac yn rhoi'r drygionus i'r cleddyf, medd yr ARGLWYDD.'"
32Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
32 Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: "Y mae dinistr ar gerdded allan o'r naill genedl i'r llall; cyfyd tymestl fawr o eithafoedd byd.
33And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.
33 Y dydd hwnnw, bydd lladdedigion yr ARGLWYDD yn ymestyn o'r naill gwr i'r ddaear hyd y llall; ni fydd galaru amdanynt, ac nis cesglir na'u claddu; byddant yn dom ar wyneb y ddaear."
34Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.
34 Udwch, fugeiliaid, gwaeddwch; ymdreiglwch yn y lludw, chwi bendefigion y praidd; canys cyflawnwyd y dyddiau i'ch lladd a'ch gwasgaru, ac fe gwympwch fel llydnod dethol.
35And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
35 Collir lloches gan y bugeiliaid, a dihangfa gan bendefigion y praidd.
36A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the LORD hath spoiled their pasture.
36 Clyw gri'r bugeiliaid, a nd pendefigion y praidd! Oherwydd y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn difa'u porfa;
37And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
37 dryllir corlannau heddychlon gan lid digofaint yr ARGLWYDD.
38He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.
38 Fel llew, gadawodd ei loches; aeth eu tir yn anghyfannedd gan lid gorthrymwr, a llid digofaint yr ARGLWYDD.
