48

1Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.
1 Am Moab, fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, Duw Israel: "Gwae Nebo, canys fe'i hanrheithiwyd! Cywilyddiwyd a daliwyd Ciriathaim; cywilyddiwyd Misgab, a'i difetha.
2There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
2 Ni bydd gogoniant Moab mwyach; yn Hesbon cynlluniwyd drwg yn eu herbyn: 'Dewch, dinistriwn hi fel na bydd yn genedl!' Distewir dithau, Madmen, erlidia'r cleddyf di.
3A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction.
3 Clyw waedd o Horonaim, 'Anrhaith a dinistr mawr!'
4Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
4 Dinistriwyd Moab; clywir ei gwaedd hyd yn Soar.
5For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.
5 Canys dringant riw Luhith dan wylo'n chwerw; ac ar lechwedd Horonaim clywir cri ddolefus dinistr.
6Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.
6 Ffowch, dihangwch am eich einioes, fel y gwna'r asyn gwyllt yn yr anialwch.
7For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together.
7 "Am i ti ymddiried yn dy weithredoedd a'th drysorau dy hun, cei dithau hefyd dy ddal; Cemos i ffwrdd i gaethglud, ynghyd 'i offeiriaid a'i benaethiaid.
8And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken.
8 Daw'r anrheithiwr i bob dinas, ni ddihanga un ohonynt; derfydd am y dyffryn, difwynir y gwastadedd, fel y dywed yr ARGLWYDD.
9Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein.
9 Rhowch garreg fedd ar Moab, canys difodwyd hi'n llwyr; gwnaed ei dinasoedd yn anghyfannedd, heb breswylydd ynddynt.
10Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.
10 Melltith ar y sawl sy'n gwneud gwaith yr ARGLWYDD yn ddi-sut, melltith ar bwy bynnag sy'n atal ei gleddyf rhag gwaed.
11Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.
11 "Bu'n esmwyth ar Moab erioed; gorffwysodd fel gwin ar ei waddod; nis tywalltwyd o lestr i lestr; nid aeth hi i gaethiwed. Felly y cadwodd ei blas, ac ni newidiodd ei sawr.
12Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.
12 "Am hynny, wele'r dyddiau yn dod," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "yr anfonaf rai i'w hysgwyd; ac ysgydwant hi, a gwacu ei llestri a dryllio'r costrelau.
13And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence.
13 A chywilyddir Moab o achos Cemos, fel y cywilyddiwyd Israel o achos Bethel, eu hyder hwy.
14How say ye, We are mighty and strong men for the war?
14 "Pa fodd y dywedwch, 'Cedyrn u375?m ni, a gwu375?r nerthol i ryfel'?
15Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
15 Daeth anrheithiwr Moab a'i dinasoedd i fyny, a disgynnodd y gorau o'i hieuenctid i'r lladdfa," medd y Brenin ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd yw ei enw.
16The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.
16 "Daeth dinistr Moab yn agos, ac y mae ei thrychineb yn prysuro'n gyflym.
17All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod!
17 Galarwch drosti, bawb sydd o'i hamgylch, bawb sy'n adnabod ei henw. Gofynnwch, 'Pa fodd y torrwyd y ffon gref a'r wialen hardd?'
18Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, and he shall destroy thy strong holds.
18 Disgyn o'th ogoniant, ac eistedd ar dir sychedig, ti, breswylferch Dibon; canys daeth anrheithiwr Moab yn dy erbyn, a dinistrio d'amddiffynfeydd.
19O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?
19 Saf ar ymyl y ffordd, a gwl, ti, breswylferch Aroer; gofyn i'r sawl sy'n ffoi ac yn dianc, a dywed, 'Beth a ddigwyddodd?'
20Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: howl and cry; tell ye it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled,
20 Cywilyddiwyd Moab, a'i dinistrio; udwch, a llefwch. Mynegwch yn Arnon fod Moab yn anrhaith.
21And judgment is come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,
21 "Daeth barn ar y gwastadedd, ar Holon a Jahas a Meffaath,
22And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Bethdiblathaim,
22 ar Dibon a Nebo a Beth-diblathaim;
23And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Bethgamul, and upon Bethmeon,
23 ar Ciriathaim a Beth-gamul a Beth-meon;
24And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.
24 ar Cerioth a Bosra, a holl ddinasoedd gwlad Moab, ymhell ac yn agos.
25The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the LORD.
25 Tynnwyd ymaith gorn Moab, a thorrwyd ei braich," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
26Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
26 "Gwnewch hi'n feddw, canys ymfawrygodd yn erbyn yr ARGLWYDD; ymdrybaedded Moab yn ei chwydfa, a bydded felly'n gyff gwawd.
27For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.
27 Oni bu Israel yn gyff gwawd i ti, er nad oedd ymysg lladron, fel yr ysgydwit dy ben wrth sn amdani?
28O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the hole's mouth.
28 "Cefnwch ar y dinasoedd, a thrigwch yn y creigiau, chwi breswylwyr Moab; byddwch fel colomen yn nythu yn ystlysau'r graig uwch yr hafn.
29We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
29 Clywsom am falchder Moab, ac un falch iawn yw hi balch, hy, ffroenuchel ac uchelgeisiol.
30I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.
30 Mi wn," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "ei bod yn haerllug; y mae ei hymffrost yn gelwydd, a'i gweithredoedd yn ffals.
31Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kirheres.
31 Am hynny fe udaf dros Moab; llefaf dros Moab i gyd, griddfanaf dros bobl Cir-heres.
32O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.
32 Wylaf drosot yn fwy nag yr wylir dros Jaser, ti, winwydden Sibma; estynnodd dy gangau hyd y mr, yn cyrraedd hyd Jaser; ond rhuthrodd yr anrheithiwr ar dy ffrwythau ac ar dy gynhaeaf gwin.
33And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab, and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting.
33 Bydd diwedd ar lawenydd a gorfoledd yn y doldir ac yng ngwlad Moab; gwnaf i'r gwin ddarfod o'r cafnau, ac ni fydd neb yn sathru bloddest bloddest nad yw'n floddest.
34From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
34 "Daw cri o Hesbon ac Eleale; codant eu llef hyd Jahas, o Soar hyd Horonaim ac Eglath-Shalisheia, oherwydd aeth dyfroedd Nimrim yn ddiffaith.
35Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
35 Gwnaf ddiwedd yn Moab," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "ar y sawl sy'n offrymu mewn uchelfa, ac yn arogldarthu i'w dduwiau.
36Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kirheres: because the riches that he hath gotten are perished.
36 Am hynny bydd fy nghalon yn dolefain fel sain ffliwt dros Moab, ac yn dolefain fel sain ffliwt dros wu375?r Cir-heres, oblegid darfu'r golud a gasglasant.
37For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
37 Bydd pob pen yn foel a phob barf wedi ei heillio, archollir pob llaw, a bydd sachliain am y llwynau.
38There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith the LORD.
38 Ar ben pob tu375? yn Moab, ac ym mhob heol, bydd galar, oherwydd drylliaf Moab fel llestr nad oes neb yn ei hoffi," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
39They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.
39 "Pa fodd y malwyd hi? Udwch! Pa fodd y troes Moab ei gwegil o gywilydd? Felly y bydd Moab yn gyff gwawd ac yn achos arswyd i bawb o'i hamgylch."
40For thus saith the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.
40 Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: "Wele, bydd un fel eryr yn ehedeg, ac yn lledu ei adenydd dros Moab;
41Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men's hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
41 gorchfygir y dinasoedd, ac enillir yr amddiffynfeydd, a bydd calon dewrion Moab, y diwrnod hwnnw, fel calon gwraig wrth esgor.
42And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the LORD.
42 Difethir Moab o fod yn bobl, canys ymfawrygodd yn erbyn yr ARGLWYDD.
43Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the LORD.
43 Dychryn, ffos a magl sydd yn dy erbyn, ti breswylydd Moab," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
44He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.
44 "Y sawl a ffy rhag y dychryn, fe syrth i'r ffos; a'r sawl a gyfyd o'r ffos, fe'i delir yn y fagl. Dygaf yr holl bethau hyn arni, ar Moab, ym mlwyddyn ei chosb," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
45They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
45 "Gerllaw Hesbon y safant, yn ffoaduriaid heb nerth; canys aeth tn allan o Hesbon, a fflam o blas Sihon, ac yswyd talcen Moab a chorun plant y cythrwfl.
46Woe be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.
46 Gwae di, Moab! Darfu am bobl Cemos; cymerwyd dy feibion ymaith i gaethglud, a'th ferched i gaethiwed.
47Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.
47 Eto byddaf yn adfer llwyddiant Moab yn y dyddiau diwethaf," medd yr ARGLWYDD. Dyna ddiwedd barnedigaeth Moab.
