¹Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

¹Taaveti laul. Issand, ma hüüan sind appi, tõtta mu juurde; kuule mu häält, kui ma hüüan su poole!

²Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

²Olgu mu palve suitsutusohvriks su palge ees, ja mu käte tõstmine olgu õhtuseks roaohvriks!

³Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

³Issand, pane valvur mu suu ette, hoidja mu huulte uksele!

⁴Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

⁴Ära lase mu südant pöörduda paha asja poole, et ma üleannetult teeksin ülekohtu tegusid õeluses koos meestega, kes teevad nurjatust, ega sööks nende maiuspalasid!

⁵Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

⁵Õige löögu mind; see on heldus! Ja ta nuhelgu mind; see on õli mu pea peale! Ärgu mu pea keeldugu sellest! Sest veel pisut aega, ja minu palve läheb täide nende õnnetustes!

⁶When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

⁶Kui nende valitsejad tõugatakse kaljudelt, siis kõik mõistavad, kui õiged on minu sõnad.

⁷Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

⁷Nagu maad oleks küntud ja lõhestatud, nõnda pillutatakse nende luud surmavalla suhu.

⁸But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

⁸Sest mu silmad, Issand Jumal, vaatavad sinule. Sinu juures ma otsin pelgupaika, ära lase mu hinge hukka minna!

⁹Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

⁹Hoia mind paela eest, mis mulle on pandud, ja nurjatusetegijate püünise eest!

¹⁰Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

¹⁰Õelad langegu üheskoos oma võrkudesse, kuni mina neist mööda lähen!
