¹And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

¹და იყო ვითარ ერი იგი დაესხმოდა მას სმენად სიტყუასა ღმრთისასა, და თავადი დგა კიდესა თანა ტბისა მის გენესარეთისასა.

²And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

²და იხილნა ორნი ნავნი, მდგომარენი კიდესა მის ტბისასა; ხოლო მესათხევლენი იგი გამოვიდეს ნავისა მისგან და განჰრცხიდეს ბადეთა.

³And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

³და შევიდა ერთსა მას ნავსა, რომელი იყო სიმონისი, და უბრძანა მათ ქუეყანით შე-რე-დგინებაჲ მცირედ და დაჯდა და ასწავებდა ნავით გამო ერსა მას.

⁴Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

⁴და ვითარცა დასცხრა სიტყუად, ჰრქუა სჳმონს: შეავლინე ღრმად და სდევით ბადე თქუენი ნადირობად.

⁵And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

⁵მიუგო სჳმონ და ჰრქუა: მოძღუარ, ღამე ყოველ დავშუერით და არარაჲ მოვიღეთ, ხოლო სიტყჳთა შენითა გარდაუტეოთ ბადე.

⁶And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

⁶და ესე რაჲ ყვეს, შეაყენეს თევზისა სიმრავლე დიდი, და განსთქდებოდეს ბადენი მათნი.

⁷And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

⁷და წამ-უყოფდეს, რომელნი-იგი იყვნეს ერთსა მას ნავსა, რაჲთა მოვიდენ და შეეწინენ მათ. და მოვიდეს და აღავსნეს ორნივე იგი ნავნი, ვიდრემდე დაინთქმოდეს იგინი.

⁸When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

⁸და ვითარცა იხილა სიმონ-პეტრე, შეუვრდა მუჴლთა იესუჲსთა და ჰრქუა მას: განვედ ჩემგან, რამეთუ კაცი ცოდვილი ვარ, უფალო.

⁹For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

⁹რამეთუ განკჳრვებამან შეიპყრა იგი და ყოველნი მისთანანი ნადირობასა მას თევზისასა, რომელი შეაყენეს.

¹⁰And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

¹⁰ეგრეთვე იაკობ და იოვანე, ძენი ზებედესნი, რომელნი იყვნეს ზიარნი სიმონისნი. და იესუ ჰრქუა სიმონს: ნუ გეშინინ, სიმონ! ამიერითგან იყო კაცთა მონადირე.

¹¹And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

¹¹და გამოადგინეს ნავი იგი ქუეყანად და დაუტევეს ყოველი და მისდევდეს მას.

¹²And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

¹²და იყო ვითარცა შევიდა იგი ერთსა ქალაქთაგანსა, და აჰა კაცი სავსე კეთროვნებითა. ვითარცა იხილა მან იესუ, დავარდა პირსა ზედა თჳსსა, ევედრებოდა მას და ეტყოდა: უფალო, უკუეთუ გინდეს, ძალ-გიც განკურნებად ჩემდა.

¹³And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.

¹³და განყო ჴელი, შეახო მას და ჰრქუა: მნებავს, განწმიდენი! და მეყსეულად განეშორა კეთროვნებაჲ იგი მისგან.

¹⁴And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

¹⁴და თავადმან ამცნო მას, რაჲთა არავის უთხრას, არამედ: წარვედ და უჩუენე თავი შენი მღდელსა და შეწირე განწმედისა შენისათჳს, ვითარცა უბრძანა მოსე, საწამებლად მათა.

¹⁵But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.

¹⁵და უფროჲსად მიმოედებოდა მისთჳს სიტყუაჲ იგი. და შეკრბებოდა ერი მრავალი სმენად და განკურნებად უძლურებათა მათთაგან მის მიერ.

¹⁶And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

¹⁶ხოლო თავადი განეშორის უდაბნოდ და ილოცავნ.

¹⁷And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

¹⁷და იყო ერთსა შინა დღესა, და თავადი იესუ ასწავებდა მათ. და სხდეს მუნ ფარისეველნი და სჯულის-მოძღუარნი, რომელნი მოსრულ იყვნეს ყოვლისაგან დაბნებისა გალილეაჲსა და ჰურიასტანისა და იერუსალჱმისა, და ძალი ღმრთისაჲ იყო განკურნებად მათდა.

¹⁸And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.

¹⁸და აჰა ესერა კაცთა მოაქუნდა ცხედრითა კაცი, რომელი იყო განრღუეულ, და უნდა შეღებაჲ მისი და დადგმაჲ წინაშე მისა.

¹⁹And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.

¹⁹და ვერ პოეს, ვინაჲმცა შეიღეს იგი ერისა მისგან; აღჴდეს ერდოსა ზედა და აღიღეს კეცი და შთაუტევეს კაცი იგი ცხედრითურთ წინაშე იესუჲსა.

²⁰And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

²⁰და იხილა რაჲ სარწმუნოებაჲ მათი, ჰრქუა მას: კაცო, მიგეტევნენ ცოდვანი შენნი!

²¹And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

²¹და იწყეს განზრახვად მწიგნობართა მათ და ფარისეველთა და იტყოდეს: ვინ არს ესე, რომელი იტყჳს გმობასა? ვის ჴელ-ეწიფების მიტევებაჲ ცოდვათაჲ, გარნა მხოლოსა ღმერთსა?

²²But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?

²²გულისჴმა-ყვნა იესუ გულის-ზრახვანი მათნი, მიუგო და ჰრქუა მათ: რასა-ეგე ჰზრახავთ გულთა თქუენთა?

²³Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?

²³რაჲ უადვილეს არს სიტყუად: მიგეტევნენ შენ ცოდვანი შენნი, ანუ რქუმად: აღდეგ და ვიდოდე?

²⁴But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.

²⁴არამედ რაჲთა უწყოდით, რამეთუ ჴელმწიფებაჲ აქუს ძესა კაცისასა ქუეყანასა ზედა მიტევებად ცოდვათა, და ჰრქუა განრღუეულსა მას: შენ გეტყჳ, აღდეგ და აღიღე ცხედარი შენი და წარვედ სახიდ შენდა!

²⁵And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

²⁵და მეყსეულად აღდგა წინაშე მათსა და აღიღო ცხედარი, რომელსა ზედა იდვა, და წარვიდა სახიდ თჳსა და ადიდებდა ღმერთსა.

²⁶And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.

²⁶განკჳრვებამან შეიპყრნა ყოველნი და ადიდებდეს ღმერთსა. და შიში დაეცა მათ ზედა და იტყოდეს, რამეთუ: ვიხილეთ უდიდებულესი დიდებაჲ დღეს.

²⁷And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.

²⁷და ამისა შემდგომად გამოვიდა და იხილა მეზუერე, სახელით ლევი, მჯდომარე საზუერესა ზედა, და ჰრქუა მას: მომდევდი მე.

²⁸And he left all, rose up, and followed him.

²⁸და მან დაუტევა ყოველი და აღდგა და მისდევდა მას.

²⁹And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.

²⁹და დაუმზადა ლევი პური დიდი იესუს სახლსა შინა თჳსსა. და იყო კრებული დიდი მეზუერეთაჲ და სხუათაჲ, რომელნი იყვნეს მათ თანა ინაჴით-მსხდომარენი.

³⁰But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?

³⁰და დრტჳნვიდეს ფარისეველნი და მწიგნობარნი მათნი მოწაფეთა მისთა თანა და იტყოდეს: რაჲსათჳს მეზუერეთა და ცოდვილთა თანა სჭამთ და ჰსუამთ?

³¹And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

³¹მიუგო იესუ და ჰრქუა მათ: არა უჴმს ცოცხალთა მკურნალი, არამედ რომელნი ბოროტსა სენსა შინა არიან.

³²I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

³²არა მოვედ წოდებად მართალთა, არამედ ცოდვილთა, რაჲთა შეინანონ.

³³And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?

³³ხოლო მათ ჰრქუეს მას: რაჲსათჳს მოწაფენი იოვანესნი იმარხვენ ზედაჲს-ზედა და ვედრებასა ჰყოფენ, და ეგრეთვე ფარისეველთანი, ხოლო მოწაფენი შენნი ჭამენ და სუმენ?

³⁴And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

³⁴ხოლო იესუ ჰრქუა მათ: ნუუკუე ჴელ-ეწიფების ძეთა სიძისათა, ვიდრემდე სიძე მათ თანა არს, რაჲთა ამარხვებდეს მათ?

³⁵But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

³⁵ხოლო მოვლენან დღენი, და ოდეს ამაღლდეს მათგან სიძე იგი, და მაშინ იმარხვიდენ მათ დღეთა შინა.

³⁶And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.

³⁶და ეტყოდა მათ იგავითცა, ვითარმედ: არავინ სადგმელი სამოსლისა ახლისაჲ დაადგის სამოსელსა ძუელსა, რაჲთა არა ახალიცა იგი განაპოს; და ძუელსა მას ვერ შეჰგავს სადგმელი ახლისა სამოსელისაჲ.

³⁷And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.

³⁷და არავინ შთაასხის ღჳნოჲ ახალი თხიერთა ძუელთა, რაჲთა არა განხეთქნეს ღჳნომან ახალმან თხიერნი იგი, და ღჳნოჲ დაითხიოს, და თხიერნი წარწყმდენ.

³⁸But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.

³⁸არამედ ღჳნოჲ ახალი თხიერთა ახალთა ჯერ-არს შთასხმად, და ორნივე დაიმარხნენ.

³⁹No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

³⁹და არავინ სუამნ ღჳნოსა ძუელსა და მეყსეულად ჰნებავნ ახალი, რამეთუ თქჳს: ძუელი უმჯობეს არს.
