1We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
1Da wir denn Mitarbeiter sind, so ermahnen wir euch auch, die Gnade Gottes nicht vergeblich zu empfangen!
2(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
2Denn er spricht: «Ich habe dich zur angenehmen Zeit erhört und dir am Tage des Heils geholfen.» Seht, jetzt ist die angenehme Zeit, jetzt ist der Tag des Heils!
3Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
3Wir geben niemandem irgend einen Anstoß, damit der Dienst nicht verlästert werde;
4But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
4sondern in allem erweisen wir uns als Diener Gottes: in großer Geduld, in Trübsalen, in Nöten, in Ängsten,
5In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
5unter Schlägen, in Gefängnissen, in Aufruhr, in Mühen, im Wachen, im Fasten;
6By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
6in Keuschheit, in Erkenntnis, in Langmut, in Freundlichkeit, im heiligen Geist, in ungeheuchelter Liebe;
7By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
7im Worte der Wahrheit, in der Kraft Gottes, durch die Waffen der Gerechtigkeit in der Rechten und Linken;
8By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
8unter Ehre und Schande, bei böser und guter Nachrede; als Verführer und doch wahrhaftig,
9As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
9als Unbekannte und doch erkannt, als Sterbende, und siehe, wir leben, als Gezüchtigte und doch nicht getötet;
10As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
10als Betrübte, aber immer fröhlich, als Arme, die doch viele reich machen, als die nichts haben und doch alles besitzen.
11O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
11Unser Mund hat sich gegen euch aufgetan, ihr Korinther, unser Herz ist weit geworden!
12Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.
12Ihr habt nicht engen Raum in uns; aber eng ist es in euren Herzen!
13Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.
13Vergeltet uns nun Gleiches (ich rede zu euch wie zu Kindern), und laßt es auch in euch weit werden!
14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
14Ziehet nicht am gleichen Joch mit Ungläubigen! Denn was haben Gerechtigkeit und Gesetzlosigkeit miteinander zu schaffen? Was hat das Licht für Gemeinschaft mit der Finsternis?
15And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
15Wie stimmt Christus mit Belial überein? Oder was hat der Gläubige gemeinsam mit dem Ungläubigen?
16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
16Wie reimt sich der Tempel Gottes mit Götzenbildern zusammen? Ihr aber seid ein Tempel des lebendigen Gottes, wie Gott spricht: «Ich will in ihnen wohnen und unter ihnen wandeln und will ihr Gott sein, und sie sollen mein Volk sein.»
17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
17Darum «gehet aus von ihnen und sondert euch ab, spricht der Herr, und rühret kein Unreines an, so will ich euch aufnehmen»,
18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
18und «ich will euer Vater sein, und ihr sollt meine Söhne und Töchter sein», spricht der allmächtige Herr.
