¹And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

¹Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, stelle dich auf deine Füße, so will ich mit dir reden!

²And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

²Da kam der Geist in mich, sobald er zu mir redete; der stellte mich auf meine Füße, und ich hörte den, der mit mir redete.

³And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

³Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, ich sende dich zu den Kindern Israel, zu den widerspenstigen Heiden, die sich wider mich empört haben; sie und ihre Väter haben wider mich gesündigt bis auf den heuten Tag;

⁴For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.

⁴ja, ich sende dich zu solchen Kindern, die ein trotziges Angesicht und ein verstocktes Herz haben; zu denen sollst du sagen: «So spricht Gott, der HERR!»

⁵And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

⁵Sie aber, mögen sie darauf hören oder es bleiben lassen (denn sie sind ein widerspenstiges Haus), sollen wissen, daß ein Prophet unter ihnen gewesen ist.

⁶And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

⁶Du aber, Menschensohn, sollst dich vor ihnen nicht fürchten und vor ihren Worten nicht erschrecken, wenn sie auch wie Disteln und Dornen gegen dich sind und du unter Skorpionen wohnst. So fürchte dich doch nicht vor ihren Worten und erschrick nicht vor ihren Gesichtern; denn sie sind ein widerspenstiges Haus.

⁷And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

⁷Und du sollst ihnen meine Worte sagen, mögen sie darauf hören oder es bleiben lassen; denn sie sind widerspenstig!

⁸But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

⁸Du aber, Menschensohn, höre, was ich dir sage, sei nicht widerspenstig wie das widerspenstige Haus! Tue deinen Mund auf und iß, was ich dir gebe!

⁹And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

⁹Da schaute ich, und siehe, eine Hand war gegen mich ausgestreckt, und siehe, sie hielt eine Buchrolle.

¹⁰And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

¹⁰Und er breitete sie vor mir aus; und sie war vorn und hinten beschrieben, und es waren darauf geschrieben Klagen, Seufzer und Wehe.
