¹Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.

¹Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Geh nochmals hin und liebe ein Weib, das von einem Freunde geliebt wird und im Ehebruch lebt, gleichwie der HERR die Kinder Israel liebt, wiewohl sie sich andern Göttern zuwenden und Traubenkuchen lieben!

²So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:

²Da erkaufte ich sie mir um fünfzehn Silberlinge und um ein Chomer und ein Letech Gerste.

³And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.

³Und ich sprach zu ihr: «Du sollst mir viele Tage bleiben und nicht buhlen und keines andern Mannes werden; ebenso will auch ich mich verhalten gegen dich!»

⁴For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:

⁴Denn die Kinder Israel werden viele Tage ohne König bleiben und ohne Fürsten, auch ohne Opfer, ohne Bildsäule, ohne priesterliches Schulterkleid und ohne Hausgötzen.

⁵Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.

⁵Darnach werden die Kinder Israel umkehren und den HERRN, ihren Gott, und David, ihren König, suchen und werden sich bebend zu dem HERRN und zu seiner Güte flüchten am Ende der Tage.
