1When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
1Als er aber von dem Berge herabstieg, folgte ihm eine große Volksmenge nach.
2And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
2Und siehe, ein Aussätziger kam, fiel vor ihm nieder und sprach: Herr, wenn du willst, kannst du mich reinigen.
3And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
3Und Jesus streckte die Hand aus, rührte ihn an und sprach: Ich will; sei gereinigt! Und alsbald ward er von seinem Aussatz rein.
4And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
4Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Siehe zu, daß du es niemand sagest; sondern gehe hin, zeige dich dem Priester und bringe das Opfer, das Mose befohlen hat, ihnen zum Zeugnis!
5And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
5Als er aber nach Kapernaum kam, trat ein Hauptmann zu ihm, bat ihn
6And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
6und sprach: Herr, mein Knecht liegt daheim gelähmt darnieder und ist furchtbar geplagt!
7And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
7Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Ich will kommen und ihn heilen.
8The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
8Der Hauptmann antwortete und sprach: Herr, ich bin nicht wert, daß du unter mein Dach kommst, sondern sprich nur ein Wort, so wird mein Knecht gesund werden.
9For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
9Denn auch ich bin ein Mensch, der unter Vorgesetzten steht, und habe Kriegsknechte unter mir; und sage ich zu diesem: Gehe hin! so geht er; und zu einem andern: Komm her! so kommt er; und zu meinem Knechte: Tue das! so tut er's.
10When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10Als Jesus das hörte, verwunderte er sich und sprach zu denen, die ihm nachfolgten: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, bei niemand in Israel habe ich so großen Glauben gefunden!
11And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
11Ich sage euch aber: Viele werden kommen von Morgen und Abend und werden mit Abraham, Isaak und Jakob zu Tische sitzen im Himmelreich;
12But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
12aber die Kinder des Reiches werden in die äußerste Finsternis hinausgeworfen werden; dort wird Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein.
13And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
13Und Jesus sprach zu dem Hauptmann: Gehe hin, dir geschehe, wie du geglaubt hast! Und sein Knecht ward gesund in derselben Stunde.
14And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
14Und als Jesus in das Haus des Petrus kam, sah er, daß dessen Schwiegermutter darniederlag und das Fieber hatte.
15And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
15Und er berührte ihre Hand, und das Fieber verließ sie, und sie stand auf und diente ihm.
16When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
16Als es aber Abend geworden war, brachten sie viele Besessene zu ihm, und er trieb die Geister aus durchs Wort und heilte alle Kranken;
17That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
17auf daß erfüllt würde, was durch Jesaja gesagt ist, den Propheten, welcher spricht: «Er hat unsere Gebrechen weggenommen und die Krankheiten getragen.»
18Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.
18ALS aber Jesus die Volksmenge um sich sah, befahl er, ans jenseitige Ufer zu fahren.
19And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
19Und ein Schriftgelehrter trat herzu und sprach zu ihm: Meister, ich will dir nachfolgen, wohin du auch gehst!
20And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
20Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Gruben, und die Vögel des Himmels haben Nester; aber des Menschen Sohn hat nicht, wo er sein Haupt hinlegen kann.
21And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
21Ein anderer Jünger sprach zu ihm: Herr, erlaube mir, zuvor hinzugehen und meinen Vater zu begraben!
22But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.
22Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Folge mir nach und laß die Toten ihre Toten begraben!
23And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
23Und er trat in das Schiff, und seine Jünger folgten ihm nach.
24And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
24Und siehe, es erhob sich ein großer Sturm auf dem Meere, so daß das Schiff von den Wellen bedeckt ward; er aber schlief.
25And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
25Und seine Jünger traten zu ihm, weckten ihn auf und sprachen: Herr, rette uns, wir kommen um!
26And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
26Da sprach er zu ihnen: Was seid ihr so furchtsam, ihr Kleingläubigen? Dann stand er auf und bedrohte die Winde und das Meer; und es ward eine große Stille.
27But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
27Die Menschen aber verwunderten sich und sprachen: Wer ist der, daß ihm auch die Winde und das Meer gehorsam sind?
28And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
28Und als er ans jenseitige Ufer in die Landschaft der Gadarener kam, liefen ihm zwei Besessene entgegen, die kamen aus den Gräbern heraus und waren sehr gefährlich, so daß niemand auf jener Straße wandern konnte.
29And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
29Und siehe, sie schrieen und sprachen: Was haben wir mit dir zu schaffen, Jesus, du Sohn Gottes? Bist du hierher gekommen, uns vor der Zeit zu peinigen?
30And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
30Es war aber fern von ihnen eine große Herde Schweine auf der Weide.
31So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
31Und die Dämonen baten ihn und sprachen: Wenn du uns austreibst, so sende uns in die Schweineherde!
32And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
32Und er sprach zu ihnen: Fahret hin! Da fuhren sie aus und fuhren in die Schweine. Und siehe, die ganze Herde stürzte sich den Abhang hinunter ins Meer, und sie kamen im Wasser um.
33And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.
33Die Hirten aber flohen, gingen in die Stadt und verkündigten alles, auch was mit den Besessenen vorgegangen war.
34And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.
34Und siehe, die ganze Stadt kam heraus, Jesus entgegen; und als sie ihn sahen, baten sie ihn, von ihren Grenzen zu weichen.
